#1 v!Owen understander

Owen becomes suspicious of Doctor Legundo and investigates where Doc has been disappearing to, discovering not only the secret lab, but a feral vampire, driven mad from the doctor's sick experiments. He releases the vampire from the lab so it can enact its revenge on the townsfolk.

Avid is very confused and would like directions back to his lab please.

Legundo's work (and Avid) are brought into light. Elle and Avid are elated to be reunited. Elle is initially furious that Legs hid him from her, but begrudgingly accepts that Legs was worried for Avid's safety. The town however, is more split over whether they trust Legs after they learn about the experiments, even with Avid vehemently defending him (a couple people chalk avid's words up to be similar to pyro's on scott, thus unreliable). Avid is moved into Oakhurst and they discover that the consecrated beacons also keep him lucid (amazing news because legs and avid were constantly running out of holy water and were So Stressed about it). Pearl's distrust of Doc, her budding friendship with Elle, and wariness of Avid results in her doing 'guard duty' on Avid most often.

Cleo and Scott finally point out that Avid is NOT a vampire, but some other thing.

If it comes out that Doc is also infected, i can imagine a lot of him being tormented by scott and owen over that. As well as him being incredibly frustrated by the town constantly doubting him. Doc's ego and desire to be helpful vs his guilt and fear that he WILL lose control. Being relieved that people understand he's a monster vs they think so for the wrong reasons.

A scene I didn't end up drawing would have been of Avid waking up to find Legundo unconscious at his desk. Avid panics, thinking that he'd killed him, and manages to drag Legs close enough to check his pulse. Doc lets out a loud snore and Avid is so annoyed. Later when Doc wakes up, he finds himself on Avid's mattress, while Avid has tangled his chains in an effort to prevent himself from being able to reach Doc while he's asleep. Doc's apologetic and Avid nags him about sleeping all the time moving forward.

If he had his way, Avid would subsist purely on holy water and garlic. Doc feeds him raw mutton, blood and mushroom soup for his health.

Doc makes Avid leather mittens and a muzzle so he can be more mobile in the lab even with the concern of losing control. Avid finds the fact Doc can easily restrain him to be very comforting (it reminds him of Elle). Legs hates the feeling that his propensity for violence makes him trustworthy in Avid's eyes. He also feels guilty over how often and how long he leaves Avid trapped and alone in the lab.
