This could fit in the origin story in a way that, Peter became Spiderman after the events of Captain America Winter Solider. The division handling this got destroyed, obviously. Now,maybe his school took them to a field trip to see the ruins of the SHIELD head quarters (Sounds dumb as hell,bear with me),because it used be a HUGE deal till a few Years ago. And Peter,scrawny,wearing glasses, clicking pictures, come across the one (1) spider who possibly survived the destruction.

"Hey little guy" Peter muttered, seeing the itsy bitsy spider, with blue and red streaks on some collapsed science exhibit situation. He,like a dummy, extends his finger towards the spider, who immediately crawls onto his finger.

"Don't worry...you're safe with me☺️💖"

and then the spider bites him and dies. On the spot.

Since hearing the part about no OSCORP in the MCU, ive always wondered how peter got the bite. It makes so much sense for HYDRA to be the creator of it. ESPECIALLY CONCIDERING THEIR HISTORY OF HUMAN EXPIRMENTATION AND TIES TO THE RED ROOM.

Headcanon that after the events of BND, Peter makes an effort to get to know Yelena outside work as part of his way to not be by himself all the time anymore. He asks her if she wants a cup of coffee one day, and she pretends to be annoyed by it, but inside, she’s happy he’s reaching out to find connections and people.

She closes her “office” for two hours and they go get coffee. This becomes a weekly thing they do together. Peter learns all about Natasha. Yelena learns all about Aunt May. They tell each other about the villains they fought that week. Yelena tells Peter how annoying Walker is (though she says it all fondly). Peter talks about how frustrating Frank is (though he says it with warmth). Peter gets to learn all about Bob, and Yelena gets to learn all about MJ.

One day, Peter starts calling her “Lena”, and she starts calling him “Spider-Boy”. They start texting each other memes (Peter specifically texts her memes about the New Avengers just to piss her off).

They know each other’s coffee orders and phone numbers by heart. Yelena still pretends to be annoyed by it all. But secretly she’s thrilled to have a little brother.

Her and Peter come up with a secret handshake. She still doesn’t know Peter’s real name, but she doesn’t need to. She knows who he is and that’s all that matters to her.

One day she calls him the Russian word for “brother”. He looks the word up when he gets home and cries. He hugs her the next day. She rolls her eyes but returns it.
