I think we have to start calling it conversion practices more often

The clinics are doing conversion practices in an attempt to reduce the number of trans people and if the conversion practices aren't working they'll consider letting you transition a little bit. but the thing about it is that what looks like care can actually just turn out to be the next layer of conversion practices. talking about gender helps trans people transition, but clinics use this to postpone care. "real life experience" requirements might look like transition but they are a release valve to slow down medical transition. even when they actually give you (too high) antiandrogen dosages and (low) estrogen, it's still an attempt to slow down your transition by starting you out at dosages that will barely feminise you and are very likely to induce depression and other side effects. all of it is an attempt slow down your transition and isolate us from each other imo
