When I was 20 I was engaged to a guy that was annoying at best and intensely upsetting at worst, because I thought that nobody else would ever want me. Eventually I broke up the relationship because I decided that dying alone can't possibly be as bad as putting up with this fuck for the rest of my life. I thought I was running out of time, too.

Do not, absolutely do not, get married to someone unless you're 100% sure that this is the person you absolutely want. And if your family pressures you into committing to something like that whether or not you're sure that it's what you want, they don't care about your happiness or wellbeing. If you make choices to appease people who don't care about your happiness, you will be miserable for the rest of your life.

You are the only one who feels it when your tooth aches, and having someone tell you "no it doesn't, you look fine" won't make it go away, and even if nobody else has a problem ignoring your pain, you're still the one who suffers when the rot spreads into your jaw. Don't make choices in your own life just to please other people. You can act like you're not miserable, and everyone else can act like you're not miserable, but it rots you from the inside and it will come out eventually, and you might not be the only one to suffer.
