Don’t let us forget that the causes of human actions are usually immeasurably more complex and varied than our subsequent explanations of them.

It only takes one match to ignite a haystack, or one remark to fire a mind.

Ever looked at your best-friend and thought “why aren’t we comedians?”

I’m not sure this is a world I belong in anymore. I’m not sure that I want to wake up.

Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see, but it is impossible. Humans hide their secrets too well.

The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.

And it is hard to let go, to imagine alternatives, but you are bold with unknowing, you are ready to explore.

Which is sharper? The hatchet that cuts down dreams? Or the scythe that clears a path for another?

Don’t piss off an artist

if you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?

What else should our lives be but a continual series of beginnings, of painful settings out into the unknown, pushing off from the edges of consciousness into the mystery of what we have not yet become.

Never trust your tongue when your heart is bitter.
