Today is the beginning of the 2018 in Chinese lunar calendar and it said to be the year of the Dog.

In Chinese astrology, each year is related to a Chinese zodiac animal according to the 12-year cycle, and 2018 is an “Earth Dog Year”. The Years of the Dog includes 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946, 1934, 1922.

Dog is the symbol of loyalty and honesty. People born on the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature… they are loyal, faithful, smart, friendly, honest, straightforward, venerable and have a strong sense of responsibility. However on the negative side… they are likely to be self-righteous, cold, terribly stubborn, slippery, critical to others and not good at social activities.

Luckily I was not born on the year of the Dog, but I am proud to say that I am a certified dog lover.

And because today is the beginning of the Year of the Dog, it is my honor to present to you our dear Sachi on my first tumblelog.
