7th Letter, 7th Trumpet, 7th Vial

The 7th Letter
Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
The 7th trumpet
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
The 7th vial
Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, âIt is doneâ.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
In the book of Revelation I have been showing the connections I see between each letter, trumpet and vial.
The letters were given by Jesus to John and then from John to a messenger/angel of a church. There are 7 churches so there are 7 messengers/ angels.
When the 7th seal is opened, there is a half a period of time. This is the second half of Danielâs 70th week and the Church age. 7 messengers sound 7 trumpets. These IMHO are the same seven messengers that just received the 7 messages from John. They are trumpeting to the Church the message he just gave them from Jesus, that is why there is the connection.
Further, there are 7 messengers that pour out the vials. Right now my guess is that they are the same seven messengers.
Who are these seven messengers? My guess is that they represent key leaders of the Church through the ages who have not wavered from the never changing truth of the Bible.
Anyway, the 7th letter is unique in that there is no commendation of their works. There is nothing positive to say about this church. Even in Sardis, the dead church, there were some who didnât defile their garments. Laodicea is wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.
Because it is the 7th letter, 7th trumpet, and 7th vial it carries a finality with it. This is the end of something and something new is coming. It is the reign of Christ.
I believe the church of Laodicea symbolizes the harlot church, Mystery Babylon.
I have posted on the whore of Revelation 17 and Korah. I believe mystery Babylon is the âfalse churchâ. Korah was a levite-set apart for service to God, much like what the Church is supposed to be. Please read the post if you want to see the connection.
The opening verse of Revelation 17 shows one of the seven angels which had the seven vials showing John the judgement of the whore. So chapter 17 and the judgement of the whore church is connected to chapter 16 and the 7 vial judgements by the 7 messengers. My guess is that the 7 vials are the judgements on the great whore, Mystery Babylon.
Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Peter says judgement begins with the house of God:
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Just as the first two temples were destroyed because of the sin of His people, the third spiritual temple/ the false church/mystery Babylon will also be destroyed.
Babylon and Rome destroyed the first two temples with fire. Mystery Babylon is to be burned with fire by the 10 horns of the beast:
Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
The daughter of a priest was to be burned with fire if she commits whoredom. The church/temple is like a daughter of a priest.
Leviticus 21:9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
I did a number of posts on the 22 books of Revelation and the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. If the 16th and 17th chapters of the book of Revelation refer to the same thing, the judgement of the whore Babylon/false church/3rd temple, then the 16th and 17 letters are the ayin and pey respectively.
The book of Lamentations is a mourning or lament of the destruction of Jerusalem and the first temple. The book of Lamentations is written as an acrostic much like the chapters of the book of Revelation.
The first chapter of Lamentations has 22 verses in perfect acrostic order. However, chapters 2-4 are written in perfect order with the exception of the 16th and 17th Hebrew letters, the ayin and pey in reverse of each other. No one knows for sure why the Holy Spirit did this. The ayin represents the eye and perception. The pey represents the mouth and what we speak. We speak what is in our heart. It is theorized by some that the temple was destroyed because the leaders spoke with their mouths what was in their heart without the correct perception from God. They led by their own strength and perception rather than Godâs. They put the peh before the ayin.
So the Holy Spirit in writing the Bible connected the 16th and 17th letters to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. In the book of Revelation the 16th and 17th chapters tied to the ayin and peh are about the destruction of the 3rd spiritual temple.
Interesting then that both temples were destroyed on the 9th of AV, the 127th day of the year. I did post on Methuselah and the number 127. Methuselah is the âman on a missionâ or missionary man sent with the Word of God. He is tied to the trumpets and repentance. Verse 127 Methuselah is born. The 127th chapter of the Bible is Numbers 10 and the silver trumpets. The Harlot church does not listen to the trumpets and the number 127 and just as the temples were destroyed on day 127, verse 127 from the end of the Bible is the final destruction of the harlot church IMHO in the 7th vial.
Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
The above is my thinking going into the 7th letter/trumpet/vial.
In the letter Jesus calls Himself the âAmen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of Godâ.
This is the same language used with Jesus at His second coming. He is called âFaithful and Trueâ:
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
The Harlot is judged right before His second coming.
Revelation 19:2 For true and righteous are His judgments: for He hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand.
The 24 elders and 4 living creatures fall down and say âAmenâ:
Revelation 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
The first time âAmenâ is found in Scripture it is used with the adultery test.
Numbers 5:22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
He that overcomes will sit on the throne with Jesus. This seems to be a hint again of His second coming when He returns to sit on His throne. It also would seem to indicate that there is a final call to repent right before He returns.
The 7th trumpet speaks of His reign twice and that the kingdoms of this world are now His.
The 7th vial says âit is doneâ.
They all allude to the imminent return of Christ.
Earthquakes are mentioned in the 7th trumpet and 7th vial. Laodicea had just experienced an earthquake in 60 ad that destroyed the city. Mystery Babylon will be judged/destroyed.
The vial judgement is the result of not repenting at the trumpet judgements. The trumpets come in 1/3rds. It is sanctification, warning to prepare for the spiritual warfare we are in, and Godâs gentle hand of correction to His children to follow Him during this time of tribulation. The vials are Godâs wrath being poured out.
Both the 7th trumpet and the 7th vial speak of a great hail.
The interesting thing about the 7th letter is that Jesus says He stands at the door and knocks and anyone can let Him in still. This would seem to me that there is this one last chance at the sounding of the 7th trumpet that there is a final call before the 7th trumpet ends to repent since I believe the 7th trumpet is the âreadingâ of the 7th letter.
In the 7th letter there is a reference to the 16th and 17th Hebrew letters, the letter ayin meaning eye and the letter peh meaning mouth. They are also out of order, the mouth is mentioned before the eye and sandwiched between there respective mentions is the judgement that Laodicea is wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked:
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
The Old Testament has 5 major prophets and 12 minor prophets for a total of 17. The prophets were the mouth/pey of God. Pey is the 17th letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
The letter commands the Laodicean to be zealous.
The first person in the Bible to be zealous was Phineas. His name means âmouth/peh of brassâ.
He was zealous because he put a javelin through an Israelite playing the whore with a midianite:
Numbers 25:11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
Phineas stopped a âplagueâ.
Numbers 25:8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
The 7 messengers have 7 vials full of âplaguesâ
Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
