âHow thoughtful,â Nick snarked, moving closer to be face to face with her, âtreating us like cattle to be reused.â He stared into her eyes, trying to instill some sort of fear with it while still denying the truth of her blindness.
When asked, Nick pressed the the side of the tip of the knife under her chin, in an attempt to be more threatening. âWhat I want is to make you bleed until you stop being a threat to humanity, more specifically to my brothers. We hunted things like you. Maybe we should get back to it.â He pulled the knife away and leaned back. âLucky for you right now, we hunt together, and my brother is not interested in you. For some reason.â Nick empathized a sarcastic tone on the last part, expressing his suspicion towards her.
The vampire growled and shoved him back as she felt the knife pressed against her neck. âIâd suggest you keep your blades to yourself.â She sneered. âI donât appreciate being cut for no reason. Iâd also suggest you take your brotherâs advice and keep me off your radar. You assume Iâm an enemy. And if you continue to treat me as such, I can assure you youâll regret it.âÂ
âNow that would make things easier, convincing my brother youâre worth the hunt,â Nick replied with a smile, but then put the blade on the sheath, âhowever, his smarts have saved our asses before. I still donât trust this... interest you say you had on my brother. A monster with an interest in humans has never ended well for us.â His tone was passive-aggressive, like suspicious or defensive. âOr would you disagree?â
