After Lightning was sent away in episode 7, he was sent to Two’s Eliminated Contestants Suite. He was teleported into a room. That was the moment he found you, sitting on the empty floor of that room. That was also when he learned that he was going to be your new roommate.

You had to calm him down a bit after his sudden scenery change, luckily you’re one of the people who can calm him down the best.

After his anger subsides, he starts breaking down. He hates the fact that he can’t hold you close because he’s made of lightning.

You hold his hands and reassure him that everything will be ok.

He manages to collect himself after a little bit.

After he steadies his voice, he tells you about everything that happened.

After that, you just comfort him, chatting about your time in the suite.

You guys spend most of your days just chatting, and to be honest, Lightning wouldn’t have it any other way. He really lucked out having you be his roommate.

Being together, he finally had to confront something he was dreading.

He finally had to tell you about his crush on you.

On one hand, if he told you and you refused, then it’d be tragically awkward given you two are stuck here together until TPOT ends.

On the other hand, it’s getting harder and harder to hide his feelings for you.

One day, he decides to just go up to you and quickly blurt out that he loves you.

He’s quite genuinely shocked (heh, get it?) that you feel the same way.

He’s has incredibly low self esteem, so this really helped him.

He REALLY hates that he’s made of lightning because he wants to just hold you so bad. But he can settle for holding your hands.

While dating, not a lot has changed. You two are usually very affectionate with each other anyway.

When she first meets you, she does what she does with most people and analyze your mannerisms to figure out how your mind works.

I’d say for her to be particularly drawn to you, she’d have to have some interest in how your mind functions. Perhaps your mindset is different than most, and that’s what initially brings her to spend time with you.

As you two grow closer, she finds that she’s stopped psychoanalyzing you and has began just being around you because she enjoys it.

There’s something about your aura that stands out, and she enjoys exploring why.

Once she begins developing more romantic feelings toward you, she notices immediately. Candle is very in tune with her emotions, though even this development threw her somewhat off guard.

Once she picks up on how she feels, she begins to drive your guys’ relationship in another direction.

She aims to appeal more to you, being more friendly, though you’re able to tell she’s not quite being herself.

Maybe it’s this lingering fear that is she disappeared one day, you’d be fine without her. She needs you to need her, or else what purpose does she serve.

You confront her about this, and for some strange reason she couldn’t help but confess what she was doing. No one has ever made her feel this vulnerable before.

At some point in that confession, she spills how she feels about you.

Candle is normally so calm and collected, you’re not used to seeing her so flustered. Still in her embarrassed state, she still carries every word with ease.

At this moment, she feels like she may have ruined it. What she was doing counts as mild manipulation. She knows that you’ll never want to talk to her again after this-

“…I love you too, Candle.”

…What…?!

She’s in a state of shock. She didn’t expect you to not scold her for what she did, let alone reciprocate her feelings.

She’s not going to let this moment pass her by. In a very rash and one of the very little times Candle acts irrational, she decides to kiss you.

Afterward, she looks you right in the eye and says:

“…Thank you.”

Ok, now onto the DATING HEADCANNONS!! (Sorry for getting a little off track; Candle is one of my favorite characters introduced in III and I realized that I was doing headcannons for how you two would get together. So, uhhhh, ig you get to have extra headcannons :3)

She’s most definitely the big spoon while cuddling. Whenever you two are in each other’s embrace, your mind is filled with her lavender scent. It makes you all sleepy.

She’s not too interested in PDA, but if you’re into it then she’s happy to follow along.

Her love language is acts of service. She loves helping you out in tasks such as giving you extra pointers in a challenge, or just helping with chores.

If you happen to help her out, her heart rate will most definitely go above resting. She may be good at hiding it, but your affection really does affect her.

Her favorite activity to do with you is sit in a peaceful, outdoor setting and meditate. She loves your presence, and helps her focus when you’re around.

I feel like she’d enjoy reading a good book with you. You’d go get two copies of a book and when you guys are finished with it, you discuss.

She puts a lot of effort into getting to know you and your interests. If you put that much effort into her as she does for you, well she doesn’t show it outwardly but she’d be on cloud nine.

If you’re having a rough day, then she’d set up some aromatics around to calm you down and spend her whole day doing things you like with you.

If she happened to be having a bad day, then taking some time to meditate with her would cheer her up

With her around, you’ll never have to suffer from lack of sleep ever again. Her scent is incredibly soothing.

She doesn’t think much of you when you two first meet. Well, she considers you friendly at the very least! Unlike Blocky or any of the other more chaotic contestants, you haven’t tried to murder her! That’s a green flag! (Oh, hun, please, raise your standards.)

Once you two chat a bit more, you become one of her closer friends. To be honest, her other friends don’t really treat her the best, and you’re just so kind and caring! How could she not gravitate towards you!

Whenever she gets bullied by Blocky, other contestants, or even her dear friends Pencil and Match, you always stand up for her. She thinks that moment when you stood up for her when she couldn’t for the first time was when she fell for you.

She doesn’t quite know how to deal with this quickened pulse or this warmth in her chest, but she knows that it’s better not to push it down.

After a bit of self reflection, she then learns that she has a crush on you.

Once she figures this out, she’s a nervous wreck. Always stuttering, avoiding eye contact yet remaining in fairly close proximity. She can’t help it! She finds your presence soothing!

Pencil and Match are the next to figure out her feelings for you, and boy they traded the living daylights out of her.

They continuously push her to ask you out when she’s barely prepared to look you in the eye for more than a few seconds.

One day, Match asks if you want to go out on a “play date” with Bubble to this restaurant. Out of boredom, you say yes.

Bubble looks at you with an expression that reads a mix of shock, embarrassment, and betrayal.

She can’t believe you actually said yes to one of those stupid dates! I mean, why would you ever even want to spend time with her to begin with?? She’s so weak and fragile and can barely stand up for herself without you stepping in to her rescue.

When she asks you why you said yes to the date, you respond with something along the lines of:

“Because I enjoy spending time with you.”

Goddammit, she hates how fast her heart is beating right now.

At the date, she is VERY awkward. Her anxiety is at its peak.

Some time during the dinner, she manages to force down her worry and clumsily confess her feeling to you.

It involves a lot of stuttering and needing to repeat herself, but it gets the message across.

There’s this strange light to Bubble. The way the rays of luminance beam onto her fragile body and reflect back into your eyes is a beautiful sight, showing this faint yet oddly beautiful gradient of rainbow painted across her surface. That light seemed to grow brighter as you told her how you loved her back.

This was one of the happiest days of her life. She’s loved you for so long, and for you to sit there and say you loved her back the same was melting her weak heart.

After your first kiss, Bubbles heart was searing so fast she almost popped (Yes, she is that fragile).

As a couple, you two are definitely one of the most happy and healthy. You communicate, spend time together, and grow.

With you, she learns to stand up for herself more instead of letting you stand up for her.

You have to admit, you kind of like her assertive side.

I’d say first impressions are pretty obvious. She immediately goes up to you and wants to form a deep and everlasting friendship.

And because I’m making these HCs romantic, she takes a liking to you fast.

You grow close, talking, sharing in your guys’ favorite hobbies, just being in each other’s presence…

After a little while, a few of Leafy’s other acquaintances recognize that she just may have a favorite.

When confronted about this, she gives the asker some half-baked yet over-explained and dramatic excuse.

“What!? I don’t have a favorite friend! It would be so rude of me to prioritize one friend over another! In fact, I think you’re being a bit rude yourself even suggesting that I’d ever do such a thing! I’m sorry, but you’re gonna have to be bumped down a few ranks on the niceness chart.”

…She hates to admit that she may be lying to herself a little.

She’s always around you; she’s just a naturally clingy person.

It takes a VERY long time to figure out that she may be in love with you due to her struggle to differentiate platonic and romantic attraction. (Same gurl, same. 😔🙏)

It’ll take almost every one of her other friend screaming at her that she has a crush on you to finally realize it.

Once she acknowledges this feeling, what is she supposed to do about it? If she told you, it could ruin her favorite friendship!

After a very long time to build up all the courage she needs she tells you how she feels.

She saves up to buy a bouquet and brings you somewhere private. She then presents the flowers to you, blurting out how much she loves you whilst avoiding eye contact.

That glimmer in her eyes when you reciprocate her feelings? Oh, you wouldn’t trade the world for it.

She’s giddy with excitement, ecstatic, even.

She runs over the you and wraps you in a tight squeeze. There’s a warmth spread all across her cheeks, connecting at the bridge of her nose(?).

After you first kiss, she’s absolutely dazed, then somehow even more hyped up than she was before.

In her excitement, she peppers your face with quick pecks and kisses. Who could blame her for doing so? The object of her affection (heh, get it?) said that they liked her back! Who wouldn’t be happy? (Sayori WHO SAID THAT???)

As a couple, she’s still as all over you as before, but instead amped up to the maximum.

She ADORES PDA. She wants everyone to know that you’re all hers! >:3

You end up helping her through a lot while you two are together. You help her with her abandonment issues, attachment issues, constantly evaluating others and her own character, she really does grow with you around.
