ᴍᴀɴ ᴏғ sᴛᴇᴇʟ

He had just finished up schedules for the day, shootings ending earlier than expected but that only meant he had more time to himself. Escaping from his manager and the other staffs, Wenhan went through the crowds of people to enter the bus since he wanted to go somewhere without hearing his manager nagging at him. With a cap on his head to cover his face a bit, the male looked around the bus in search for a spot, and when a female’s voice rung out to offer him a seat he all too willingly walked over towards her and sat down. “Thank you, you’re a life saver.” He grinned, settling down and leaning back against the headrest. Wenhan glanced over towards her every now and then, wondering if he should make small talk since they would be next to each other till either one gets off. “It’s really crowded today...where are you heading?”

Her eyebrow raises, skeptically.  “Who said anything about being safe?”  In truth she was about two seconds from clawing up his face.  But then she’d ruin the nails she just finished painting.  And that would be a waste.  With a snort, she pushes him off and shakes her head.  “It was with different company.  Remind me why I let you in to my apartment again?”  She decides to not answer that question and instead stands and makes her way over to the kitchen to get herself a drink.

He could tell from her tone that he was probably walking on thin ice, yet that didn’t stop him from wanting to mess with her more. “You wouldn’t harm me would you?” Wenhan chuckled while playfully batting his eyelashes at her, an innocent smile forming on his face. As she got up to head towards the kitchen he immediately followed after her to keep the conversation alive, knowing that he would be bored out of his mind if he had to wait for her to return. “Maybe because deep deep down, way down, in your heart you know you love me.”

“Hm.. maybe because I don’t like you?” She began to tease before poking her tongue out at him, a soft chuckle slipping past her lips afterwards. His childish actions never failed to amuse her and quite frankly, she actually missed these small moments with him. Although, it was nice seeing him perform on TV with the kids; she enjoyed watching them giggle and get excited over him. “Yes, thirty-four minutes. You can wait for that long, right?” She asked, arching her brow a bit before smiling softly, snorting at his words afterwards as she stood up, shaking her head while shoving the chart back in its place. “You’ve been here long enough to know your way around my own unit, Wenhan.” She chuckled while straightening her scrubs out before urging him to follow her, leading him towards the playroom that they had built for the kids to interact. “Uh.. don’t be so full of yourself, kid.” She scoffed as she leaned against the door frame with a small smile grazing her features, pointing at the spacious room that was filled with kids. “They’re right here. I’ll see you in a bit, yeah?”

“Don’t like me? I’m pretty sure everyone likes me, that includes you.” He teased back, making a face at the way she stuck out her tongue at him. “Who knows, maybe I’ll just end up leaving you behind and go out on my own instead.” Wenhan wiggled his eyebrows before bursting out in laughter. He simply shrugged a bit at her words before following her towards the playroom that he had been too often before he had debuted. Quite frankly he knew the place like the back of his hand and could probably navigate himself around her unit while blindfolded, but he wasn’t going to tell her that, not if it meant he was gonna get a few more moments with her. “Who are you calling a kid? Don’t you know I am the ‘real man’ of UNIQ?” He puffed out his chest with pride as he spoke. Once he entered the room Wenhan immediately heard the shrieks of the children there as they came running towards him. Bending down to pick a couple of them up in his arms, he turned around to focus his attention back towards the other. “Alright, we’ll be here waiting for you to finish then.”

She laughs at him, a full bodied sound, shoulders shaking and lips parted.  It takes her a moment or two to regain her composure and she waves him off with disinterest.  “I don’t threaten people it’s annoying and pointless when most don’t even recognize threats.”  With a bit of a frown she glances at him and shakes her head but decides it’s not worth the effort to shove him off.  “Just had a good walk out, that’s all.  It’s the simple things in life you know.”

He couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the way she had laughed at him, waiting for her to finish up as he crossed his arms. “Good point. That means I’m safe from your clutches at least.” He gave an arrogant smile at his words, ignoring the frown she was giving him for the way he was leaning up against her. “A good walk? Really? Are you telling me that’s all it takes to make you happy? Had I known that earlier I would’ve taken you out for walks way more often.” He grinned teasingly, scrunching up his nose at her. “Are you busy right now?”

“Oh, please. I am not always busy.” She snorted as she began to jot down some notes on the sides; some questions that she could possibly ask the attending physician tomorrow. “Our schedules just never match up so.” She grinned as she glanced up at him briefly before looking back down at the papers in front of her, whining quietly once he had pulled them away from her. Snapping her head back up to glare at him, the older female huffed as she extended her arm out to reach for the chart, keeping her gaze on him. “I’ve missed you just as much, if not more but please, give me the chart back.” She spoke up as she stood up as well to snatch the chart back before grinning broadly, pointing at the clock hanging on the wall with her pen. “In about… thirty-four minutes we can do that. So, how about you go over there and play with the kids? They kind of miss you.”

“If you’re not always busy then how come you never return my phone calls?” He huffed in a childish manner, crossing his arms over his chest while he watched her reactions towards his little antics. Wenhan often wish his schedules hadn’t been so busy, although he knew he should be thankful that his group could manage to get on a few variety shows here and there, especially since they haven’t even debuted a year yet. “Thirty-four minutes..” He narrowed his eyes a bit, it wasn’t too long of a wait but the male was growing rather impatient. Deciding to take her advice however, he folded his arms behind his back and took a step towards the door leading to where the kids might be. “Where are they? You should lead me to them or else I’ll get lost or something. What do you mean by kind of? Doesn’t everyone always miss me a ton when I’m away?” A playful arrogant smirk formed of his face as he looked back at her. 

She glances at his feet on her coffee table and without even a word shoved his feet off the table quite easily.  What was with modern humans anyway?  She turns to look at him and with as straight a face as possible replies, “Maybe I just killed someone really annoying and I’m happy they’re gone.”  Letting that sink in for a moment Anastasia shrugs and leans into the couch.  “My sex life is none of your concern.  But for your information, I didn’t fuck anyone.”

He made a small grunt at the impact of his feet hitting the ground before rubbing his legs lightly. A pout formed on his face as he glanced back up at her before raising an eyebrow at her words. “Was that suppose to be a threat or did you actually kill someone? Because it’s not working if it was a threat, although it would be interesting to know what you did with the body.” As she leaned against the couch, he leaned up against her a bit as well. “Ah-- if that’s the case then why are you so damn happy? I’ve never seen you this happy before!”

Anastasia raises an eyebrow and scoffs at the other.  “Since when did my sex life become of any interest?”

“Why else would anyone be as happy as you are?” Wenhan grinned in a teasing manner, plopping himself down onto the other’s couch before resting his feet onto her coffee table in a rude manner, his head resting back against his arms as he turned his head to look at her. “That or you won the lottery or something, but let’s just say you got laid cause that’s a lot more fun! So who was it??”

Jessica giggled behind her hand at his outburst. Nodding, she pushed her hair behind her ear. “Cats are cute so I’m fine with that. And yes I am. Thank you for that.” Her lips stretched into a friendly smile. “Work is so stressful and gives me permanent grouchy face.”

The sight of the girl smiling made the his shoulder droop slightly in relaxation, knowing that she wasn’t actually too angry with the world. “But if you have such a grouchy face all the time, people will think you want to murder them in their sleep.” He snickered behind his hand, laughing at his own joke. “You should rest though, take a vacation somewhere. What do you like to do when you aren’t working?”

She hummed once again, turning her silver gaze from him. “An everlasting friend? My trust for something that does not exist…” She brought the straw of her drink to her lips and took a sip before gracing him with a grin. “That doesn’t seem like a fair trade to me.” What would she do with a ‘friend’? A human one at that? She could see no benefits of it, but she continued on humoring him regardless. Brushing her red hair over her shoulder, she leaned closer to him, her grin fading to a smile. “What else do you have to offer? I’ll see if we can make a deal.”

He pressed his lips together in a thin line, knowing that she didn’t like his offer one bit. Then again, who would readily accept such an offer from a stranger that they had just recently met? While messing with the soda he had in his hand, the male drummed his fingers against the cool glass and thought about other options he could give her. “Hm..I’m not sure what else there is? I could offer my service somehow? Maybe if you need some sort of handy man around your house or something?” As Wenhan spoke his voice became softer, as if he was unsure that was such a good offer as well but he kept his gaze locked on hers. “What’s your name by the way? I’m not sure if I ever caught it?”
