I’ve been away from this blog for so long, and after a lot of debating with myself and talking with some friends I’ve decided to archive this blog for now. I do plan on remaking it at some point, I just don’t know how long it’ll be until I do, and even until I open the new one.

Thank you all for being here, and for rp-ing with me, hopefully we’ll still be able to sometime!

Cloud smiled, leaning up to kiss Noctis softly. “You’ve helped a lot. While Zack was a sun in the darkness, it disappears after a while. You, you are my stars, Noct. Always there, always shining.”

“He was, and he sacrificed a lot- but he’s at rest now. I know this.” The few times he’d seen Zack and Aerith after the whole ordeal with the Remnants, and later on Omega, they seemed at peace, and on occasion he’d hear whispers from the Planet that they were fine, happy. Cloud smiled back up at his alpha, resting his head on Noctis’ chest, simply enjoying being held for a while.

“After the labs I was in a coma-like state; Mako poisoning. He took me with him when he escaped the labs, hauled my comatose body all around Gaia while he was hiding from ShinRa. They found us, though,” Cloud whispered, cuddling up to Noctis, one hand releasing the sheets to grip at Noct’s shirt. “Zack- I won’t play dumb, I know he could have easily left me behind and saved himself, but he didn’t. He tucked me away someplace safe, then went to face his firing squad.”

His grip on Noctis loosened, and then dropped as his mate reassured him. Goddess above, Noctis was too good for him. A hand lightly gripped Noctis’ shirt, gently, but silently leading him over to the bed, which he clambered onto and scooted to the middle.

Once they were settled on the bed, Cloud leaned against the headboard, fighting back a grimace. He hated thinking about the labs, for good reasons too- but this, this was something that Noctis needed to know. “I wasn’t alone in the labs, there was another ‘test subject’ with me. Zack Fair, a SOLDIER First Class who’d been on the mission to Nibelheim, who watched as my hometown burned, and fought against Sephiroth- and he was my best friend.”

“Zack... I think I’ve told you a little bit about him?” Cloud couldn’t recall exactly. “Zack was, was kinda like Prompto. All smiles and jokes, got along with everyone- hell, he made friends with Tseng.” Which was a rarity itself. “Zack was an Alpha, which is why I was forced to wear the collar, and I will admit I had a bit of a crush on him, but I think most of the people who knew him did too.” Cloud smiled in amusement. “His heart belonged to a omega girl named Aerith, who was a total sweetheart- and another friend of mine. He had a heart of gold, one that was in the right place, but sometimes what he thought was doing someone a kindness wasn’t.”

He could hear the alpha- Noc-Zac-who.. saying something to him, the pressure in the air lessening immediately, but not gone, not completely. The first few steps had Cloud whining, hands clutching the alpha’s shirt tightly, but the kiss to his head, the faint recognition of “-smell better-” had him hesitantly, slowly following along for another few steps before willing letting the alpha lead.

The change in Cloud was almost immediate the moment they stepped into the bedroom, away from Noctis’ pheromones and into the comfort of the omega’s nest; his trembling began to slow, and then stopped. He kept his body pressed close to Noctis, but pulled his head away enough to blink once, then twice-

He swallowed the second whine that built in his throat, burying his face into Noctis’ throat, trying to ignore the memories that were beginning to flash through his mind- being pinned down, restrains around his limps, one at his neck... The youth’s low, reassuring words and noises helped; and the blonde tried to concentrate on it being just him, Noctis and their child- and then the pheromones that, on any other day, would help soothe and calm him only made it worse,  dragging him down into memories he’d rather forget.

The blonde felt his shoulders relax, and wondered for a moment when he had tensed up in the first place- “A wedding, huh? Can’t say I don’t want one of those in our future.” They may have been mated, but the omega was just a tad greedy, wanting more. “Think the idea of a wedding ceremony open to the public might placate your dad?”

“A formal mating ceremony..?” The blonde quirked a brow, wondering what it entailed; if Noctis would simply have bitten him, or if that mating ceremony would have been like the one they had. That thought had him paling somewhat, and a green tinge to his cheeks. Sure, he was a bit of an exhibitionist, but not that much.

He nodded at the order, and had to bite his cheek to keep from laughing at both Noctis, and Ignis’ responses to him suddenly dropping the news like that. Cloud grinned at Noctis, nodding at the first question before shaking his head ‘no’ for the second one.

“Thanks Ignis. Hey, we’re thinking of getting everyone together this evening- yeah, that’d be appreciated. Yes, we haven’t talked about that yet, and yes, he has. Almost a week ago. Yep, just before it was supposed to start. No, it didn’t start at all... Ignis? Thanks.” With their conversation over, he hung up and put the phone on the counter before smiling at Noctis.

“Ignis is fine, though I’m not sure if he’s surprised or not. He said, and I quote, ‘I cannot find myself to be all that surprised.’ Although he is happy for us, and will see if he can gather the others later to come over.” He stepped near his mate, looping his arms around Noctis’ waist and resting his head on the youth’s chest, still smiling.

The blonde stashed away the eggs and was sipping his juice when Noctis returned, tank and phone in hand. “Order something with meat, and some vegetables, and fruit too?” he quested, kissing Noctis soundly as he took his phone and shirt- slipping the latter on before opening the former and flipping through his contacts.

His grin turned into a gentle, loving smile as Cloud agreed softly, “They’re already the most precious and important thing to us, and they’re not much more than a cluster of cells.” The blonde chuckled softly, smiling brightly at Noctis before he hit the dial button on the number he wished to call. Once the other person on the line picked up, he didn’t even give them a chance to say anything before saying casually-

So, while Noctis had been changing, he went digging through Noctis’ rather well-stocked fridge (thanks to Ignis, Cloud presumed) and had dug out a jug of orange juice and a carton of eggs by the time Noctis returned. “Does omletes sound okay?” the blonde asked as he glanced up from pouring himself a glass. When his alpha did the spin a chuckle slipped from Cloud’s lips.

The gentle touch to his stomach felt almost electrifying, a small jolt of something, but a nice something. Cloud hummed delightedly as he leaned up to press a kiss to his Alpha’s neck, murmuring against his throat, “Seems like we have something else to tell the others, too, later, if they can come. All of them, if Ignis doesn’t figure it out.” His heat usually lasted about four to five days, and with how much their bedroom, and whole place really, smelled of the continuous sex they’d been having these last several days, they had a slim chance at surprising the strategist...

“We’re going to be parents,” Cloud echoed softly, pulling Noctis down for another kiss. The excitement wasn’t wearing off fully, nor would it anytime soon, Cloud presumed, and he doubted he’d go back to sleep so- Oh! He looked towards the kettle, the reason he’d been in here in the first place, and a quiet groan left him as he recalled reading someplace that tea wasn’t the best for pregnant women and male omegas.

“Water got cold anyway,” he grumbled to himself, certainly not pouting as he leaned lightly against his lover. It was then that he noticed a little detail about Noctis, and the blonde snorted in amusement. He nudged the alpha’s bare hip gently with his own clothed one (having tossed on a pair of Noctis’ sweats before his arrival in the kitchen).

“Yeah, why not? Smoothies are supposed to be good for you, right?” Cloud wasn’t exactly the healthiest person around; but he was working on it. Years of malnutrition from the labs, and then all the time on the run, wasn’t the easiest to combat, but he was trying.

It was early, far too early in his opnion, as the sun was just peaking above the horizon, but the blonde found himself unable to sleep. So, instead, he was sitting in Noctis’ apartment kitchen, waiting on his morning kettle of tea to finish. They’d been here a little over a week now, and his mate had certainly kept good on his promise, Cloud thought with a chuckle. His whole body was sore and aching, but it was a pleasant soreness.

Those first few days since they had mated had been a bit stressful after they had woken, spending time away from each other and having to keep their mating a secret for now- they had planned on inviting the other three over later, having checked their schedules and seen they were clear for the afternoon, even Noct’s.

Ignis had cleared Noctis’ schedule for the week; when asked about it he had simple said that he knew they needed their time together, and hadn’t said another word after that. Which was a bit weird, as Cloud thought they had been getting along pretty well; well enough he’d call Ignis a close friend, at least.

Turning the kettle off as it began to whistle, the blonde yawned as he shuffled over the the cupboards, reaching for the mugs they kept on a higher shelf- successfully sending a bottle that been sat up there as well off of the shelf. He caught it with ease, setting the mug on the counter he eyed in the bottle in surprise.

He thought that they’d been put up earlier that week, his birth control that was, when they had decided to try for a baby- no, weren’t these the ones he used when he was in his heat? A quick glance at the chocobo calendar Prompto had given Cloud for his birthday (and that Cloud refused to put up anywhere besides Noct’s apartment) had the blonde freezing. He counted once, twice, and even a third time.
