This post makes me want to cry  - both from frustration and relief. Frustration because my husband and I, both artists, have been uninsured for the last 3.5 years, as has our daughter, and relief that someone is saying it. Did you know that the children of artists are also punished? Cayce doesn't qualify for KidCare because we choose to be unemployed by choosing to be self employed (incidentally, women in Florida have to purchase separate maternity plans if they intend to have children, because despite paying three times as much as men for a standard plan, maternity care is not included)(Florida just loves women and children).
