“Nope! Your arms are just really that noodly!” Quincy grinned as he held the book in his hands, glancing over the pages. That’s when Theo had said he doesn’t see anything. “Have you gone blind? There’s so much to see! So much to read! And these pictures are just-“ but then the book shut immediately, leaving Quincy a bit startled as he placed the book back down on the counter. His eyes were wide with wonder and delight, a wide smile gracing his lips. “I told you,” he giggled before leaning against the counter. “Where, oh where, shall we hide it? I was thinking maybe another tree, definitely not the same tree, that’d be silly. But maybe somewhere lower this time! Like in a burrow, or maybe a well! Or we can place it inside of a box and bury it deep deep deep!”
Theo let the comment go over his head, he wasn’t in the mood to try and decipher the actual context. He was much more interested in what this book was, what it meant, and the secrets it held. Theo was happy that Quincy seemed just as intrigued. “I’m not so sure what we should do with it, but it is curious isn’t it?”Â
“Very, very curious,” Quincy wholeheartedly agreed. But they didn’t need to decide now, did they? Besides, there was still so much in the book to read and look at. “May I take it home? Maybe I can show my father, or Absolem. I’ll take mighty good care of it, I promise. And technically, I discovered it, so...” Quincy smiled widely as he brought it to his chest. “We can figure out what to do with it later, but until then, I’ll keep an eye on it.”
