got texted by someone i became acquainted with twenty years ago by extreme chance but i'm not texting him back

he'd be 46ish now and it's virtually certain he still has mutton chops.......superimposing harry du bois over his memory

ok so the reason i've known this guy for 20 years is BECAUSE he called me when i was at a sleepover and he thought i was someone else and i thought he was someone else........i'm at s's house in the basement at idk midnight and i get a call which back in the day i was alllways on the phone like i always picked up because who knows who could be calling (i was always getting into situations) and on the other end was a super drunk guy who i thought was my ""brother"" larry (my mother's coworker) that i hadn't seen in forever (months) who was 24 and had a bad drinking problem and he goes is this (slurred version of my name) i'm like yeah of course and he's like good i got your number the other day and wanted to call and so we talk for idk half an hour and eventually i'm like wait...........this isn't larry?? and he's like no this is (his name) and i'm like well i think you have the wrong number my name is (very slightly different name, think joanne vs joanna) and i thought you were my drunk no good brother!!!!! and he's like oh shit!!!!!!! and we had a big laugh and anyway suffice it to say we stayed in touch for years on the phone and on myspace then in the beginning years of facebook but lost touch and back then when i was a kid i had a huge crush on him even though i hated his signature mutton chops...he was probably texting me to wish me a happy birthday and make me an offer of marriage :^)
