So, today, we had an all-girls outing to the salon! Fatimah had been bugging me to cut her hair like her bestfriend! Haha.. and I thot Khadijah too needed a haircut! This would be Fatimah’s 2nd haircut (the first was not a nice experience for her) and Khadijah’s first haircut! 😍 I too took the chance to not waste my time while waiting for them to finish by pampering myself too! ☺️ Booking was a breeze. Customer service was tip-top. I truly felt the warmth and definitely felt welcomed. They treated my kids like their own and gave them their first ultimate hair pampering session - this includes head, shoulder and hands massage for the kids too ya! 😍 As for me, I treated myself to their current promo, the scalp purifying + head spa treatment. And this was the bomb! The head and shoulder massage that comes with the package was soooo good! Love love love it! The kids and I truly enjoyed our pampering session today! When you’ve been a full-time working mom throughout, you’ll tend to miss all these precious moments of having breakfast before they go to school or sending and fetching them from school, or bathing and dressing them up in the morning, etc. Hence, being on MC or during HBL or school holidays are truly a treasure to me. I make it a point to enjoy simple pleasures in life with them (whatever that’s within my means and capabilities). Simple things like waking them up in the morning and having simple breakfast like these makes me full and happy. Never mind the throbbing headache or the flowing nose. They’re my happy pills. Throwback to last weekend where we engaged @longkangadventures for our forest adventure! No regrets at all. Truly a beautiful adventure that makes us yearn for more! Our forest guide was super knowledgeable with the various survival skills and forest thingys. Definitely calmed our nervous nerves to have him with us as we went through the uncertain forest trail. Reminiscing December 2014. Naufal was barely 3mths old then. It was such a masyaAllah experience. Allah made it so easy for us. We even managed to climb Jabal Nur where Gua Hira is situated, in the wee hours of the morning, with a baby in our carrier. Teacher’s Day 2021. ♥️ Putting these here for memories and motivation. Especially when things get rough and mundane, or when you just get tired and irrational, or simply when you feel down and unworthy. Yes, these feelings are real. And these gifts do not remove those feelings. But those heartfelt cards and words from your students and parents makes it all worthwhile. I am not the best teacher at all. But i feel fulfilled when I have, at the very least, instilled some forgotten or diminishing values in them. For they will be the next generation, growing alongside my own children. Teacher’s Day used to be on 1st September. But few years ago, it was changed to the first Friday of September. And hence, celebrations is on the Thursday before that. . To all my teacher friends, you have done so so much for your students. You have sacrificed so so much for the benefit of your students. You have not only imparted knowledge but also values to build the characters of your students. You have helped them to be the best version of themselves and to continuously better themselves. Trusted Nursing Cover. This very beautiful, comfy, breathable and wide coverage nursing cover was given to me by @mrsouch4 as a gift just after Naufal was born in 2014. And it has been my bestfriend ever since. Yes, till now. It have seen and served me through Naufal, Fatimah and Khadijah. It was with me practically everywhere I go with the kids, even on holidays! Now that Khadijah is turning 2 in a few days time and I am on the road to weaning her, I look at this nursing cover and am ever so grateful for its ‘services’. At the same time, I can’t help but feel a little emotional that my breastfeeding days is coming to an end, after 7 long years. MasyaAllah! 😍♥️💪🏻 I still remember crying after every birth as I try to breastfeed my kids. Cuz babe, it’s painful yaaaa.. haha.. But my pillar of strength always find the right words and things to say to motivate and encourage me. He always made sure I worry about nothing during my confinement days and find ways to take care of almost everything else. He even makes my bed and room for me, brighten the room, and ensure that I’m at my most comfortable state for feeding.
