Back in February, in the Split Enz Discord server, I transcribed the banter at the beginning of the music video to “Mean to Me” by Crowded House where Paul Hester is on the phone talking over the scenes where they’re all doing things (Neil Finn showing and playing with vintage windup toys, Nick Seymour showing off his car, and Paul instructing yoga).

My plan had been to post those here shortly thereafter, but just as I was putting them in the Discord server, I got some bad news from home I’d known was a long time coming, and… augh. Well. But, here they are now, ready to be more than lighthearted levity before a storm.
