WHAT do you want me to SAY, huh? that my dad hits me, that he beats the crap out of me over the STUPIDEST things. . .? That he's been doing it for as long as I can remember? i was always so JEALOUS of the relationship you had with your dad. no matter what you wanted to do, he always stuck by you. i have no IDEA what that feels like. and when your dad died, all i kept thinking was, what if it had been MY OLD MAN instead?

mickey smiles slightly at the comment, appreciative of the fact that she hasn’t really bothered her. or, that’s what she was saying at least. she believed her. it wasn’t as if they’d ended on bad terms though she was sure that after months of radio silence her appearance had to be a little surprising. she’s also thankful for the fact that regina doesn’t let on to the clear double meaning in her question since she has no doubt that she likely picked up on it. “of course you didn’t.” she was almost sheepish sounding and she probably looked it too, hands in her pockets and shoulders hunched slightly. “i’m uh  —  it’s been a tough few days. i just sort of needed a kind face.”

regina was glad to have at least be a sort of helping hand for mickey. she could tell even from a distance that things had been incredibly tough for her—and maybe, it had occurred to the football player that she hadn’t lost how incredibly perceptive she were with her ex from time to time. not that she particularly minded. “well, i’m glad to help you out and be some form of comfort to you.” she manages to give the other woman a small, reassuring smile at best before casually flopping down onto the nearby sofa. strangely feeling at ease with mickey around, of course.

“shut up.” cece doesn’t particularly speak with much conviction, she can’t while her lips are still curved up into a fond smile. she keeps up the slow, back and forth roll of her hips. her fingers flex where they met regina’s, the pleasure that rippled up her spine was second to none. something about the adoration she had for the woman between her thighs always made this feel so much better, there was quite frankly nothing she loved more than the sight of her sprawled out beneath her. “reg,” she murmurs her name breathlessly, the lazy grind of her hips soon speeding up into something more.

really, the football player couldn’t speak up much after the fact. her nerves were on fire and the pleasure was rather too insurmountable and blinding for her to even describe, as it always were. it was rather sweet. . . having someone like cece be compatible with her in all regards; mind, body and soul. and it was quite fascinating and intriguing to think about even to this day. fingers squeeze at her girlfriend’s own as the grind of her hips sped up, breath stuttering at the back of her throat. “cece—” hips rising to meet her pace, eyelids closing right after the fact to feel everything ongoing.

alanis thought it was pretty funny, how regina seemed so intent on coming across as casual. like she hadn’t just come apart in her hands twice now. she wasn’t complaining about it really, it helped things feel a little less awkward. god only knows how many homes she’s had to sneak out of due to the uncomfortable turn things may have taken following a hook-up. “you do that.” she stretches herself out before she pulls her hair up into a bun, it being slightly mused after all of their activities. “because i would very much like to see you again.” 

if only regina knew what was going on at the back of alanis’s mind concerning their interaction. “oh? would you now?” a breathy chuckle rolls off the tongue as she relaxes and reaches down for her shorts and boxers, promptly placing them back on. even now, the poor woman was trying to maintain her compose to some degree. but it was practically impossible to rebound from this so damn easily. . . especially as she felt so spent her mind was even frazzled to this mere second. “that’d be really nice.”

mickey should’ve known that really regina, out of all people, wouldn’t turn her away. she didn’t intend to take advantage of her kindness but she definitely needed some right now. she shuffles inside, simply just glad to be somewhere that felt familiar to her and wasn’t full of strangers. “thank you.” it comes out awfully quietly, her arms crossing over her chest as she glances around. it’s nothing she hasn’t seen before but she feels awkward, sometime has past since she last saw her ex and this hadn’t been how she intended for them to reunite. “did i wake you?” a stupid question, it was late. “you’re — alone, right?” unfortunately regina’s personal life wasn’t as easily accessible as her own, she wasn’t sure if she’d moved on already. 

“kinda but. . . I’m not mad ‘bout it.” closing the door behind them as her expression merely softens on its own accord. in truth, regina hadn’t really moved on. . . somewhat. she was there in life in terms of everything else but dating? the football player felt the need to take a small break since she was invested at the time. too invested. lower brim snagged by her front teeth as she took note of mickey glancing about. it had been a while since she was here, visibly in the flesh. “always alone. never got on board on the whole roommate thing.” a nervous chuckle tumbles past her brims.

alanis shrugs casually, as if she hadn’t made the statement herself. she might be a little full of herself but she knows that she knows what she’s doing. the fact regina looked rather spent was just evidence of that fact. “maybe?” her eyebrow quirks up and she purses her lips, stretching out in her place. “well. i’ll give you my number before i leave. you can maybe use it whenever you’re free and looking for a good time.” there’s a somewhat cocky smirk playing on her lips since she’s rather sure that it will definitely be used.

the football player found herself unconsciously licking her lips at the idea. she’s hooked up before, sure. . . but any previous experiences of those instances strangely couldn’t match up to what alanis had done with her. or maybe, she was projecting since she never felt very spent and this satisfied before. and who knows, regina was actually looking forward to herself calling her up and the rest being history after the fact. “i’ve got more free time nowadays as college life is kinda dull. i’ll probably keep ya posted, knowing myself.” even now sounding a little winded, the redness popping within her cheeks slowly receding. 

open to f/m/nb  —  mickey has famous parents (an actress and a washed-up rockstar) and really she’s one of those celebrities who’s famous for nothing. after a night out gone a little too far she has no one to turn to but her ex/ex friend/ex fwb, or could be something current.

“i didn’t know where else to go.” they definitely didn’t owe her anything, definitely not the courtesy of opening their door to her when it was well past midnight. mickey had messed up worse than ever before and she’d genuinely been at a loss, driving her car around aimlessly until she ended up here. her face had been splashed around all sorts of gossip sites earlier that morning, with headlines claiming she had a problem and was out of control. she wasn’t but she knew her parents wouldn’t believe it. “i just  —  look, are you going to let me in or what?” 

it wasn’t what regina had been expecting at around this hour. two weeks spent finishing up a final for one of her classes—she was winding down for the night and seeing her former flame at her door when the doorbell echoed throughout her apartment was very off putting. not to mention having seen her face from one of the few articles online sent to her by a friend of hers; left her feeling quite sympathetic for the other woman. even as they weren’t together anymore, regina still treated her as kindly as she did previously. “I, uh, yeah. sure, c’mon in. . .” shaking herself of her daze with bed hair indicating she had rolled out of her bed in the midst of a four hour nap, the taller out of the two stepping aside to allow mickey inside of her apartment. “stay for as long as you like, I don’t mind at all.”
