Hey, look! It’s NORA SINCLAIR. Did you know they WORK as a EMERGENCY ROOM NURSE & MEDICAL STUDENT at KISMET HARBOR HOSPITAL ? I guess they’re from SAVANNAH, GA and have been in town for THREE AND A HALF YEARS, living in CRESTHILL MEADOWS. I also heard they’re a little STUBBORN, but also very LOYAL which definitely makes sense.

Born in Savannah, Georgia to Emily and Major General Reginald Robert Bowen, Nora’s the quintessential middle child. In between an elder brother, Connor and a younger sister, Bethany, she always felt a little out-of-place, unsure of where she fit in the family dynamic.
The middle child conundrum was made even more apparent when her father decided to retire from the army and get a more lucrative job closer to home, moving the entire family to Boston, MA.
In spite of this, she never shied away from getting herself involved when it came to helping people, volunteering wherever she could outside of regular school hours, even at her local hospital which influenced her decision to go into nursing. This newfound passion lent itself very easily to her driven personality especially if it meant making her father proud.
She was introduced to her future husband, Noah, by his closest friend, her brother Connor, while she was still in high school. Despite being the envy of her friends whenever he'd pay the Bowen household a visit, she had always been seen herself as the “sweet younger sister”, always there for a family dinner and a few odd conversations afterwards but nothing more. Until a fateful last minute ski trip and a conveniently sprained ankle and everything changed. In spite of trying her best to keep things light, casual and nestled safely in the friendzone, the young lovers shared a little more than a few casual moments together and she soon found herself falling head over heels for the young Marine, promising him eternity when she was just a kid of twenty three herself.
Despite their worst critics, mainly her not-so-worldly grandmother, it wasn’t long at all before things started getting a little more serious between, starting with the happy couple moving in together as Nora chased her dreams of becoming a doctor, topped off with an engagement in front of their family and friends.
As the young couple were starting to plan their lives together, the Bowen clan had been shaken to its core. Her little sister had always been a handful even when she was little and Nora knew just how to placate her. Though now as a wily sixteen year old, she was a different person to her now. Someone she hardly recognised though that didn't stop her from wanting to protect her from everything the world threw at her. Her parents had relied on her patience and her kindness to the point where Nora failing was never an option especially in her father's eyes. If she couldn't be the best then she wouldn't even dare to try. So within a few months of pursuing her medical degree, Nora decided her best option would be to train as a nurse instead. It was a different path but it was a noble one nonetheless.
Freshly graduated as a registered nurse and newly engaged, Nora couldn't have felt happier with everything that was happening in her life. A surprise pregnancy unexpectedly lit up their world and set alight to a new chapter in their lives and she couldn't have imagined anything ruining things. Though it was only a matter of time before the rose-coloured glasses slipped from her face and reality truly sank in. She knew from her mother's own experience that separating from one's partner was perhaps the hardest thing she would ever have to endure. Yet as she said goodbye to her fiancé from the departure lounge, Nora's heart cracked into pieces as she realised how easily she'd slipped into her mother's shoes.
One morning while she was still trying to navigate Noah's departure, Nora started feeling a strange kind of uneasiness, nothing completely out of the ordinary but enough to keep her on her toes. It wasn’t until she started her afternoon shift at the hospital that everything seemed to change. a misjudged reach into the supply cupboard too far sent her in a heap to the floor and her friends scrambling to take her downstairs to the emergency department. It was only then when her entire collective world cracked open, torn apart with the three most terrible words in the English language. ‘ your baby’s gone ’. She couldn’t follow anything after that, hanging onto their muted apologies but failing miserably, her focus settled entirely on going home and shutting out the world so she could finally make sense of it all. As she struggled to make sense of their loss by herself, she knew Noah would rush back home on the first plane out to comfort her as soon as he learned what had happened. Which made her decision to keep his mind clear and free from distractions even more bittersweet and heart-breaking.
Once Noah finally made it home, she held herself together for as long as she could until her world collapsed inside of his arms, letting herself feel as much as she had sitting in the doctor's office, if not more knowing he was finally there and not a figment of her imagination. It was only a matter of weeks before he was shipping out again and she was left to her own devices with no third trimester to celebrate. Her mother suggested that she might benefit from talking everything through with a professional to make sense of it all which Nora took as the highest form of encouragement. Six weeks into her course of therapy and Nora was beginning to feel more like herself, ready and willing to start her journey. Until her entire world shifted off its axis and sent her spiralling yet again.
Her heart fell out of her chest as she heard of Noah's accident. She couldn't make sense of living in a world without him. Her soul belonged to him, her body was held together by his adoration and his words of affirmation hung on her mind like the finest woven tapestries. His body, weak and unconscious, was flown back home and Nora stood vigil by his bedside until he woke up, never leaving until his parents encouraged her to finally rest.
In 2019, after months of recuperation as Noah was honourably discharged, they decided to take the next step a little faster than expected and under the warmth of the European sun, Nora got to finally put on some sun-kissed variation of her mother's wedding dress and marry the man of her dreams under the watchful eyes of both their families.
Since moving to Kismet Harbor, starting a family of their own has been the most important thing on their minds. After their big European wedding, they’d tried everything to finally achieve their goal of becoming parents with no success whatsoever until the couple decided to release the pressure they put on themselves, take things a little easier and not think about it for a little while. Sure enough, those little pink lines gave them everything they could imagine and with little Ines, they've never been happier.
Personality wise, she’s extremely stubborn, not eager to let things drop until they’re settled in a diplomatic way, a trait stemming from her years of experience trying to placate her siblings whenever they'd be caught in a Monopoly-fuelled melee. She’s also not afraid to call things out when she feels like someone’s been mistreated and when it comes to her friends, her loyalty is not something to be taken for granted.
With her job being as stressful as it is, Nora tries her hardest to find new and interesting ways to blow off steam, ranging from reading in the bath with a glass of wine to throwing down some clay on the new pottery wheel her husband bought her. It can change weekly or even daily, depending on how much stress she's been under at work.
As a former army brat, Nora’s no stranger to moving around the country for her father but she’s happy to finally be settled in Cresthill Meadows with her husband, Noah and the rest of their family.
