In our tent, every day begins with suffocating heat and ends with a night that brings no peace. My little children sleep on the ground while I stay awake, watching every movement. I fear that a venomous insect 🦂🐜 may reach them first, that a rat 🐀 may come too close, or that a snake 🐍 or scorpion 🦂 may crawl into their bedding. Here, it's not only the heat that steals our sleep—it's fear.

There is no electricity ⚡ to ease the burning summer, no cold water 💧 to quench the children's thirst, and no walls 🏚️ to protect us from the dangers surrounding the tent. Every peaceful night feels like a blessing, and every morning we wake up without one of my children being harmed feels like a miracle. 🤲

How heartbreaking it is that a child's greatest wish this summer is not a new toy or a fun trip, but simply a safe place to sleep without fear... and a cup of cold water. 💙
