After a moment, though, you still hadn’t reacted to his affection, he expected that, he also tried his hardest to not get furious at you for rejecting his act of attention, so Byeongkwan moved to pull away. You grabbed his arms, stopping him from moving away from you. He blinked, confused, shocked. You never accepted his affection, neither did he ever show it to you. His confusion only grew when you wrapped your arms around him, burying your face in his chest.

“Don’t go, please.” You muttered, clutching his shirt tighter.

Byeongkwan could feel the way your body was shaking slightly as you were still crying. He frowned, wrapping his arms around you in a comforting manner. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. I’m not going to let anything happen to you, so you don’t have to worry,”

You lifted your head momentarily, shooting him a weak smile, then you pressed your head harder on his chest. 

“No matter how much I enjoy this moment, you still have to tell me what happened, baby girl” he looked at you seriously. Minutes have passed, and you still didn’t mutter any sound, Byeongkwan has a short temper. Right now, he was really conflicted. On one side, he wants to keep on comforting you and shower you with love. On the other side, he feels the urge to just snap at you and punish you for not obeying his orders, since he clearly stated that he wants to know what’s wrong.

“I…”, you weakly try to say. “I had a rough day… everything went wrong...I went to the mall today, I was just minding my own business when this guy came to me”

Byeongkwan’s blood started to boil at the mention of this ‘guy’ , he knew that from now on he wouldn’t let you go out without him ever again.

“He started flirting with me , I just ignored him… He started getting angry and grabbed my arm forcefully, but luckily there was a lady that helped me” your sobs started getting louder “I got scared, I was too weak , I couldn’t do anything…”

Byeongkwan’s embrace tightened around you, even though he could only see red in front of his eyes, he felt the need to protect, he wouldn’t allow anyone to make you sad ever again, no matter how many people he will have to take care of.

He tried to calm you down by rubbing your back comfortingly, this was the only time when he was gentle with you, you felt protected, even somewhat safe and you couldn’t even believe it.

“Look at me, doll”, he cupped your face and forced you to look at him straight in the eyes. “I swear, if anyone lays a hand on you, I’ll cut their arm off.”

Those words made you shiver in fear, but at the same time, they comforted you. Was this his way to show that he cares? Does he mean his words? You knew that murder isn’t something that he’s afraid of, but does he care so much about you that he would kill someone without batting an eyelash?

The answer is yes.

You sat on the bench, simply because you had no idea what to do or where to go, you thought that maybe you should take a break and clear your mind before making a decision. You were so concentrated on your plan to escape from Yuchan that you never thought of what you would do afterwards. It was getting colder with every minute and of course it started to rain, lucky day..

Suddenly you thought about what you would be doing if you were still next to Chan. Yes, he was extremely obsessive, but he was taking care of you. He holds you and kisses every inch of your body, he treats you like the most fragile and precious thing in the world…Because that’s how he sees you, as his small fragile baby... No. You should not miss such an obsessive psycho. But you do.  Was this normal? 

“Miss? Do you have a lighter?” You almost jumped when you heard the question, it startled you a lot. The question came from a drunk man standing right above you.

“No, I.. I don’t have one… I don’t smoke” the man didn’t like your answer, at all.

“Oh, come on! Then why would you be all alone at this hour? Search in your pockets, you must have one ” ,automatically you nodded and pretended like you were searching for something in your pockets and then you ran.

“Bitch!” The man was screaming and screaming something but you never turned around. You were running until you bumped into someone's chest .

“Don’t try anything, babe” he warned you before you could even think of anything “Don’t try to make me even angrier”

You could tell that he wasn’t actually angry. No. He was furious. He was about to yell at you, you knew it even though he didn’t say a word yet.

“I am sorry!” And with these words you hugged him, searching for comfort and warmth. “I should have never leave in the first place! Please forgive me! ” You were crying and shaking in his arms and Yuchan just couldn’t stay mad at you, he saw you so vulnerable and dependent on him, he loved this sight.

“You are freezing, let’s get in the car, okay? Shhh, it’s all right. Everything is alright, darling. I am not mad at you.”

Inside the car, during the ride home, you still didn’t let go of him. You were clinging to his side, trying to calm down.

“Please don’t ever let me go...”, you softly whispered.

“I won’t. How can I? You are the love of my life, whatever happens, I won’t let you leave me. Baby, don’t cry!'Don’t worry, my love, I’ll protect you’.” He was gently stroking your back admiring how vulnerable you were. At that moment he knew you were his and he had to protect you at any cost.

Last night was supposed to be your one year anniversary and you were supposed to go to dinner at one of your favorite restaurant.

Chan didn’t show up.

At first, you thought that maybe something happened. Traffic? Work? Who knows?

As time began passing and five minutes turning into thirty and thirty turning into an hour, then two, you began getting more and more upset. Opening your phone to message him, you saw a notification popping up, he posted to his story five minutes ago. 

And that leads to where you are now:

Instead of spending your anniversary together, Yuchan was at a party, completely drunk. And this got you extremely mad.

You knew that if he was this wasted at a party, he wouldn’t come home until morning, so you had plenty of time to pack your things and leave. And that’s exactly what you did. You got all of your belongings and you left without leaving anything behind.

It’s been a week since you’ve last seen Chan. A week may not seem like a lot, but from all of the crying and lonesome days, it felt like years.

He has tried contacting you, leaving you voicemails after voicemails along with texts. He sent you flowers,sweets, anything that he thought might change your mind. And you’ve ignored them all, not wanting to face him and hear the excuses that he might throw at you .

Yet somehow it was like the universe was laughing at you. Everything reminded you of him. You kept finding his shirts in your room and pictures of you two together seemed to be placed strategically for you to see.

Little did you know that everything was in fact placed by Yuchan. He came in your house after you left to do the groceries and hoped that he could play with your mind and make you think of him again.

You felt horrible, you started thinking that you should’ve at least give him a chance to explain. And that’s exactly how you have ended up at his place.

He opened the door, and you saw him looking even worse than you, he had red puffy eyes, Chan looked as if he hadn’t sleep since you left, and you could swear that he was wearing the same clothes as the night before you left him.

‘Why did you leave me? And why did you come back?’, these words barely came out as inaudible whispers.

After talking it out, he managed to make you stay, feeding you with white lies and promises as he always did, making it look like it wasn’t even his fault in the first place. Of course Chan loves you, he wouldn’t lie about that, but right now all he wanted was to bring you back to him. His plan worked, he made you deliberately come back into his arms. And believe me when I say that he won’t let you ever leave him again.
