Alistair laughed. "I wouldn't call that bossy. You were just an asshole that's all. "Ready to leave? I'll take you home now."

Your father...I like his determination to get whatever is front of him done. He doesn't seem to be afraid of anything or anyone. Christopher provides good conversation and good company.

You forgot handsome, but I have a feeling that's not something important to you.

"High school? Did you forget how I was?" Eric asked.

Alistair chuckled. "I think you meant how you were after the bite?" He asked him. "I don't think that was what I would call being bossy." He said and opened the door for him.

We will date, correct. I believe if he told him, then he is at least considering it.

Nobody does. The way we work is still a mystery to most. Do you know understand our problem.

Eric laughed. "I did only for a short time. I easily found out that it was not as fun as it looks like."

"You did? When?" He asked him out of curiosity. Now they were back close to his car. "Ready to go home?"

Eric rolled his eyes and nudged him back. "My own company would be nice, but that sounds like too much responsibility and too much work." Eric said.

Alistair laughed. It was a nice dream, but it was funny that Eric saw it that way. "And here I thought you would enjoy telling people what to do."

"Hm? So you want to just be a hunter now?" Eric asked. That was interesting. "I think I want to just run my own department, by the boss and all."

"Mostly a hunter so I can protect people like you." He nudged him on the side. Of course it was a tease. "Or you can make your own company."

Nobody knows, but it does seem the trigger plays a major role.

That's correct, but it is because of my circumstance. Our powers of course are linked to death.

So it depends on the experience when the powers activate?

Eric smiled. "Level up is the right word. I would be earning more and doing what I wan." Eric said. "It is not my dream job, but it is the first step for it."

"What is your dream job?" Alistair asked. "Mine used to be the FBI, but now it is simply being the hunter who protects those who need protection."

I do...but also not? Lyndon has never said that he has gone through the same thing.

Not all of us are the same. Lyndon's abilities have developed more towards one side than the other.
