Has anyone pointed out the parallel of Van’s teammates not pulling her from the fire in the plane crash but her surviving to Van pulling all her teammates from the fire’s smoke but dying

“The girls looked really ruthless and cruel in the pilot but they seemed so tame and normal in the actual pit girl hunt!!” yeah it’s almost like the pilot was showing us the way the world would perceive their actions as monstrous and unimaginable, but when we found out the context and saw what they had gone through, we understood that it was multilayered and we saw through the idea that they lost their minds and turned evil. It’s almost like nuance is the whole point. It’s almost like they were never evil they were just hungry??

we make fun of the '96 yellowjackets for letting lottie make all their decisions for them but it's been so long since s1 i think we forgot about the bear. like if i woke up from a nonconsensual group hallucinatory drug trip with the knowledge that winter is coming and we're most likely gonna freeze and starve to death and then the girl who'd earlier started rapidly speaking a language she wasn't fluent in walked outside and a fucking bear came out of the woods and kneeled before her and she killed it with a knife then YEAH i think i would be doing whatever the hell she wanted

I’m begging Yellowjackets Season 4 to lean back into its dark horror and tragedy elements instead of relying so heavily on absurdity, camp, and humor. I still want both sides, but the show is at its best as an eerie, disturbing story about trauma and cannibalism first; and a comedy second.
