As I wrote in another post, I had to rip the LVC interview in Italian from Rai's website because I wasn't satisfied with the versions floating around. I mean, who doesn't need Lee making those faces in better resolution?

The great @noavemberrain has translated the video before, so I won't add much on that front. However, as an Italian native speaker, I feel it is my civic duty to let you all know that hearing Lee ask for a limonata ("lemonade") and being met by a no makes me giggle every time. Fyi, limonata is also slang for French kiss lol.

As Mother’s Day approaches, I want to share a brief update on my friend Djuna’s ( @sigurism ) situation.

After months of endless phone calls and emails, we’ve finally made contact with Breast Cancer Organizations that may be able to support her treatment going forward. Giving her family a bit of hope after such a harsh path.

However, right now she is facing two urgent expenses that cannot be delayed:

Her health insurance, which keeps her treatment active

Other expenses, enough to let her to stay in contact with doctors, support organizations, potential job opportunities, and her children

Without these, all our work may return into nothingness.

We are hoping to raise $250 to keep these essential lifelines in place. Donate here :)

How long were you out there?

I said no food. I didn't say there was nothing to eat.

A few months ago, my friend Djuna ( @sigurism ) returned from a medical appointment with a diagnosis that changed everything: breast cancer.

Since then, her already fragile stability has turned into a constant struggle to keep her health, her treatment, and her life from collapsing at the same time. She is a mother who has spent years being strong for others, but this is a fight she cannot carry alone anymore.

Against the odds, Djuna managed to cover part of her treatment and undergo surgery that promised a step forward. Unfortunately, cancer rarely plays fair.

As Djuna explains in her own words:

" Post-operative results showed that the cancer had reached a lymph node. Something so small it didn’t appear on scans, yet serious enough that my doctors are now discussing radiation, chemotherapy, or additional surgery to prevent recurrence. "

This charity campaign aims to raise $1,200, which will help cover immediate medical and living expenses and reduce the risk of interruptions in her treatment. It is not the full amount she needs, but it is a critical and necessary step. Click here to make a donative
