Nintendask Community Spotlight

A lot of people reached out to say they were so happy to see @mushroomreplies get the spotlight this week, and for that I’m very grateful! We only had a couple of art pieces submitted this week, but they sure are a pleasure! If I missed anything, let me know, and please make sure you’re tagging @nintendask-spotlight!

Some people say that you can’t have both quantity and quality at the same time- well, this mun proves otherwise. Soren is a prolific artist and content creator who has created countless muses and materials to tell their stories. Starting simply enough with a shroom known as Goombario, Soren’s brood has blossomed into a whole garden of muses in Nintendask. Always eager for an ask and up to the task of answering with art responses, Soren is a worthy recipient of this week’s Community Spotlight!

Yo, I’m totally braindead right here and now, but major shout out to my friend, and this weeks feature: @askcoracle. I try to stay pretty neutral on my own thoughts with these spotlights, but I’d be amiss if I didnt express what a great friend Friday has been to me in this community. We found each other when we were both still young in this community, walked hand in hand into the creation of the Cutie Kingdom, and watched a great part of the community grow. After I left, she stayed ever vigilant, being a huge influence to the community and watching the backs of the ones she loved. When I returned, I could see she had become a pillar of strength for so many here. 

There have been some great contributions from people who feel similarly, right under the cut! If I have forgotten anyone, please let me know.

I wish to nominate @askcoracle for the weekly spotlight. I’ll try my best to express why, sometimes words are stupid.

Character-wise, Coracle is fun, sweet, and sexy. She’s not perfect, she lets her desire to protect her children get the better of her, even causing conflict with the people she loves. But her heart is in the right place, and she truly does love with all of her being. 

Art-wise, the blog itself is stunning. I’ve watched the mun, Friday, draw and paint in streams (sometimes without her knowing) and I’m just in awe from how gorgeous it all looks. The way she paints and shades and GOSH I wish I could get anatomy and positioning to look as dynamic as she does.

Sorry guys, there’s no spotlight this week! I wanted to try something new, and I didnt want to distract from any current spotlight.

I would like to take the opportunity to put the spotlight in your guys’s hands! Now, this blog is already ran primarily on nominations, but I wanted to run a sort of guest week with your guys’s help!

If anyone would be so inclined, please use the submit button to create a post for the next spotlight! Be sure to clearly announce who you want to spotlight, why you chose them, and maybe something that made them special to you. If you are artistically inclined, this is a great time to add an image as well.

I’m accepting five submissions, each to be queued and posted once a week on spotlight day, and will serve as that weeks spotlight! My only stipulation is that it isnt a blog or mun that has been featured before (I have a running list. ;D) or a brand new blog that hasn’t made many posts.

This week, the spotlight goes out to someone who first got me hooked into this community. This is by no means a “small” blog for our community, but just because they’re a little more popular, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to see our love and appreciation! 

This week’s spotlight goes out to @asktehkoopz!! Their art has been consistently amazing throughout the years, even as it evolves into new forms again and again. They continue to provide engaging plot, and man, the way they interract with other blogs is also really friggin cool. I love seeing them do art memes especially, cause they always put such a unique twist on it.
