Nilou does tell us that she made a crown and that her horns are fake, right? Don’t forget that she has golden embellishments and another set of golden horns. This can only mean that her black horns are actually real and only the golden set is fake.

❛ You know, I’ve always been curious about your earrings, Collei! Where’d you get them? I’d love to have a pair like yours for my next big dance performance. ❜ Her eyes are glued to the beautiful gem on her longer earring. It swings with each of Collei’s movements and Nilou can’t help, but be hypnotized by the shiny ball. Part of her wants to reach out and touch it, but she doesn’t. Her index finger merely points to it as a small smile graces her features.

❛ On the other hand... could I really pull them off? ❜ Suddenly, she finds herself thinking about a certain fox and if he’d like them on her. Her cheeks turn a light shade of pink before she changes the subject to something else.  ❛ Anyway, um. Do you have a particularly long patrol today? I was thinking we could go eat something together and shoot the breeze for the day. ❜

She’s probably out of her depth this time. Well, to her credit, she’s always out of her mind when trying to traverse the forest. Nilou feels twenty times safer when Collei escorts her or when she’s with the main champ of the forest himself, Tighnari. It’s a sigh of relief when she catches a familiar shape nearby. Her feet dash as if they’d catch on fire if they’d linger a second longer. Her arms wrap around the figure while screaming their name, it’s a scared screech. It’s full of the obvious emotions held within.

 Her face squishes against the other’s cheek, feet dangling as she’s hanging off him like a child would. If he’d check close, he’d notice she’s teary-eyed. Nilou soon lets go as she doesn’t want to be further of a bother. Now, standing on her own two feet the girl goes into her usual rants.

❛ I’m so, sorry! I missed you and I know it’s not a good idea for me to come here by myself, but I wanted to see you! Besides, I don’t have any urgent business so, I figured I’d come help. Don’t be mad. ❜ It’s there that she fidgets in her typical way, red hair flowing behind her, decorating her like cute wings. Nilou smiles, teasing soon after.  ❛ You can’t tell me you wouldn’t want me around, right? ❜ 

Part of her really wants to say, I’m your favorite. She knows better than to actually do so, however.
