Spent the entire weekend moving. Saying hello to my 4th apt since moving to SF 4 years ago. Currently: + Living in a sea of boxes + Learning that the Kondo method does not work for me + Feeling grateful for friends who *show up* + Reflecting on how to be that kind of friend for others + Re-realizing that I’m most energized when I have a project, a goal, a something to work towards. Moving is terrible, but I was so invigorated finding the right places for old things and making a list for the new. Energy is not a negative sum game; doing nothing =/= gaining energy. Something to remember the next time I say ‘I don’t wanna do anything this weekend.’ + Speaking of new things, moving is/was hard so I obviously deserved a new mirror I don’t need (at all) much to JH’s avail. One of my oldest friends in the world is getting married in 2 weeks. The first memory I have of her is from the 7th grade when a mutual friend pointed her out during PE and told me he had a crush on her. She then proceeded to hate me due to a falling out I had with another friend—middle school loyalties, man. But fate would have it that we’d end up at the same H.S. in the same AP Calc class (where we kicked ass) and later AP Physics where she had to help me with my homework everyday because for the life of me I still can’t remember anything except “kinetic energy.” Nearing almost 2 decades later (dear god), we live in the same city-ish, we’re pretty much adulting-ish, and we have grown together-ish. @yuriashin love you very much, even if you’ve become a crazy person—especially because you’ve become a crazy person.
