All the power issues apparently killed my fridge, but I didn’t know it cause the lights were working. #InternationalWomensDay means something personal to me this year. When we took this picture I was technically @chastalynn’s boss as APD & now she’s everyone’s boss as PD of @1077thebone. Seeing her crash through that glass ceiling after I spent years trying, proves that progress is possible. I’m here because of her. I know how hard she worked to get here & how that work is never done. This station has never run smoother & I’ve never been happier. We’re more than a team, we’re family. Yesterday I saw an executive’s son getting the “Good old boy network” introductions around the stations, which showed me that progress is slow. It’s not over, but it’s getting better. I was only in the @jacksonbrowne camp for half a year & Jeff Young was only able to join us for the week-long run at the @beacontheatre. But, we FaceTimed him on the bus every week or two & the Beacon run was elevated to epic with his presence.
