Collective Mind

i got to spend dinner with his family, like a lot of weekends, yesterday. it makes me feel really loved and welcomed into his life because it’s not just him who loves me and is building a relationship with, his family is building it with me too. i have a great relationship with hi sister, his brother and sister in-law, and his parents. my mom always told me to remember that when i get married i’m not only marry the guy, but i’m marrying his family. i remember i’m my last relationship i never really felt entirely comfortable around the family, mostly because i never was around them but there were just things in that relationship that felt off. but when i’m with eli and his family i never feel that way. i never feel uncomfortable. i could go to his house with only his parents home and feel comfortable there. and the nice thing is he feels that same way about my family too.
