Heated rollers, where have you been all my life?
So I used my Boots Advantage points in January to buy myself a set of heated rollers. I went for the £29.99 Babyliss ones because they were a) ceramic, b) came with both pins and claw grips and c) were the only ones for sale in the local branch of my small town.

When I think of all the time effort and money I’ve spent on my hair in the 35years before getting these I want to cry! The first time I used them my mum did them for me. She’s still got and uses the original Carmen heated rollers that she got for her 19th birthday 47years ago. I know this because she tells me everytime the subject comes up. Anyway she is at level:expert at heated rollers and my hair looked like if has a professional blow-dry, usually costing me £18-£22. This is life changing, people! No more salon appointments before big events!!
I’m still getting the hang of using them by myself, the results aren’t quite as impressive but still a huge improvement on au natural and better than any of the other (many many other) appliances I’ve used over the years. I’ve used them a few times now and I’m getting better each time. I’ve learned to use clips on the front one as the claw grips leave a mark, but the claws are fine for the others and much easier. Practice makes perfect and I always feel great every time I’ve used them.

I just wish I’d discovered them years ago. I can’t say me mum didn’t tell me. Repeatedly.
