Throwback || Namielle
The air was wet, the winterâs rain was still hanging above the market heâd been in all morning. French markets were always his favorite, they had the best little shops, and he couldnât deny the...food..wasnât half bad either. He was walking through a crowd when the brunette at the distance walked through the market, like sheâd been there quite too many times. He weaved through the people, a cheeky smile on his lips as he came up behind her, his hand coming down on her behind as he smirked, âExcusez-moi manquer.â He spoke smoothly as he removed his hand and stood back a step.
Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
"That makes me feel so much better," she admitted with a sigh of relief as he moved to put his book away. Although it was nice that there would be four of them instead of just four of them trying to deal with this hunter situation, the thing that Cassandra was happiest about was that it was Nicolas of all people. She trusted him, which wasnât something she could say about most people, and she was also fully aware that if she got emotionally heated, which was something that happened more than occasionally, he was one of the few people that was able to calm her back down to sanity, âThank you,â she added as an afterthought, feeling it was necessary since he was taking such a risk helping them and it would have been just as easy for him to say no and want to stay out of it. âI mean Iâll try my best to control Marcus but no promises,â she replied teasingly, a bit of sarcasm in her voice, as she knew that trying to make or prevent Marcus from doing what he wanted was pretty much impossible and that Nicolas was completely aware of that fact as well. He sat the book back on the bookshelf before making his way back to her, âThey make it almost too easy,â she agreed as she glanced towards the direction that their apartment was although it was still a couple doors down and she wouldnât have been able to hear much of anything even if she tried, âWe just need to lure them out and get rid of them, hopefully Marcus and Derek agree that getting rid of them once and for all is the best bet,â she sighed, âI feel like trying to compel them all would just be a risk Iâm not willing to take.â She stood still for a moment before reaching for Nicolasâs hand, âJust donât do anything too reckless,â she teased, knowing full well that more often that not she was probably the more reckless, emotionally-driven one of the two.
Nicolas smiled, placing the book on the shelf as he moved back over to her, she seemed worry and she had every right to be, after all they were going up against a massive hunter force, but he gave them the better end of the stick, they didn't rely on guns, or arrows, they were their own force and ones that didn't need reloading. He walked up to her and shook his head, "Don't thank me, not needed." He spoke his fingers brushing against her arm, "There is not controlling that beast, lets just hope he and I are in better moods that day." He laughed at her proposition. He nodded, "Maybe that thought I didn't notice. or hoped I didn't." He smirked as he nodded once more, "Won't be too hard, all I have to do is speak about Derek and it should go pretty easy from there." Â he was already thinking of ways to get them out, and where he wanted them, "They are all on vervain and wolfsbane, and not even my power can break through that, you'd be putting yourself at more risk. He held her hand and sighed, "I'll try my hardest love, no promises." He smiled, "Same goes for you though." he turned it back, though he was serious, probably just how she was when she said it to him.

Gatherings || Marcus, Cassandra, Nicolas, Derek
Marcus took his time, to getting to the house. He was the farthest from it, but itâs the only location that wasnât buzzing with activity. Itâs the chills the house gave off. He slipped in from the back, just in case and set the alarm for the hunterâs that might come in, although they didnât see drawn. He wasnât sure how desperate, he only caught the last of Nicolasâs speech. âIâm right here, sorry. This place is rather far..â he said taking a deep breath. âThis place, is the only place that hasnât been raided around or hunterâs around. As he said, itâs the feeling it gives off. It wouldnât surprise me if the womanâs ghost is still roaming the hallâs given she dies hard.â he commented before clearing his throat. âAlright weâre all here, so maybe we should get started on how we should handle thisâŚSo far, from talking to each of you except Nicolas, The hunterâs are able to sway or do something to make one of us on their side. Theyâve gotten to Kacey. Hence why she isnât here.â he said, starting that out. âSo any ideaâs anyoneâŚstarting with Cassandra, moving through Nicolas, then Derek. And we can discuss all our stuff at the end. That way everyone can speak.â he said, knowing he might talking to them like they are kidâs but itâs easy for all of them to just begin speaking their opinions, and it would turn into a screaming match then what it was intended for. âSo Cassandra, ladies firstâ he gestured to the vampire, giving her the floor to speak.
Before she and Derek could talk much longer, Cassandra heard the sound of footsteps approaching once more. She began to tense before almost immediately recognizing them to belong to Nicolas. He entered into the room and immediately she felt a bit better, the tension between herself and Derek feeling palpable at least in Cassandraâs mind because of her distrust of the wolf. âHey,â Cassandra greeted him softly as Nicolasâs lips pulled away from her cheek, beginning to speak when she heard the final member of their group of four enter the room and she instead fell silent. Usually she would have been irritated at Marcus for taking charge but right now she just kept reminding herself that there were a lot more important things than who was leading the meeting, and as he suggested that he spoke first a bit more of that irritation faded as well. âSoâŚâ Cassandra began trying to figure out how much detail she did or didnât want to go into, âMine is really more an update than an actual plan for the situation,â she explained, âI ran into Kacey a few days ago and we got into a fight in the forest kind of like what Iâm expecting happened between you and her, Marcus,â she glanced towards the wolf in recognition, âThe next day I ran into her once again but this time she was rather spooked. She wonât tell me much, but I think the hunters tried to do something to her again and she escaped?â Cassandra took a breath as she glanced towards Derek to judge his reaction, âShe doesnât remember anything positive, only the bad things. She remembers when I killed a woman in front of her over a necklace, she remembers that Nicolas killed someone in front of her to prove a point, and she doesnât remember Zane or a different world or the tea shop or anything like that.â She paused momentarily before continuing, âI even tried to use other senses to bring back even a fragment of a memory like brewing the tea Zane made for her but nothing. The more she tries to remember the more her head hurts.â She turned to directly address Nicolas, âI actually wanted to ask you if maybe youâd try compelling her? Or at least let me try?â she questioned even though it was still in front of the entire group, âI just want to figure out if thereâs a way to get through this mind control thing especially if they get anybody else.â She turned back to the rest of the group, âCurrently sheâs staying with me, sheâs scared of the hunters coming after her, but I feel like it might only be a matter of time before she bolts or her condition worsens and she turns on me.â She shrugged in an attempt to brush the very serious situation casually off of her shoulders after finishing the monologue that had turned out to be much longer than she had planned, âAs far as ideas, Nicolasâs apartment could probably come into good use?â she turned to look at him as she spoke, expecting him to speak next if they were following the order Marcus had made, and figuring that it was a perfect transition into what he had to offer.
Nicolas felt her relax against his touch as he greeted her with a soft kiss on the cheek and stared at the others in the room, now including the wolf he was non-too fond of. "Lets hope not, I doubt she would take too kindly of the people that plotted against her are now plotting against someone else in her home." He pulled his arm away from Cassandra's waist and glanced at her, listening to her idea or well update, "No one told me they were converting people, let alone Kacey." He felt utterly confused as he looked around the group, "Would be the one thing she remembers about me." He said under his breath as he shook his head, but stopping when Cassandra turned her attention to him.
"My power is your power love, it's her you'll need to convince. People don't take kindly to compulsion." He nodded, agreeing that he would compel her, but she needed to be on board, because the last time he forced compulsion on someone it didn't end so well. "There is a little girl in town that tends to peak into other's minds. The fairy girl." He pointed out as he glanced at the other two who seem to know her more then himself. "Cassandra that doesn't seem very wise to house her, especially if she is the hunter's golden prize." He felt a deep worry because even Cassandra spoke the option of Kacey turning rabid, or the hunters get to her again. "My apartment." He repeated and nodded, "I have two or three hunters living in the apartment two doors down from me, they are eavesdropping constantly, and I think it could come in handy." He crossed his arms and shifted, "They speak of someone they report to, there has to be a higher up somewhere, the report everyday, like they have a quota of either news or actual hunting quota's. I believe they are unsure of me, and though Cassandra came by they have yet to make a move on me, so the thought still stands that they aren't aware I am a vampire." He peeked at Cassandra and sighed, "I could give them what they want, a set up, something if we figure something out here."
Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
A small smirk crossed her lips, âI mean I figured Iâve had enough of mine spilled through getting shot and all that, itâs only fair that they have to pay the same price.â Perhaps it sounded sadistic but she didnât care and judging by Nicolasâs reaction he didnât mind either. âOkay good,â she smiled back, âI trust you more than I trust either of them so itâll be nice to know that youâll be there as well.â She knew that the group was a bit unconventional but when it came down to it she had to agree that they were probably the best people for the job, personal drama and everything else like that aside. âYou donât need to be friends, just donât rip his throat out,â she teased as he walked around her to close up his book. âWell if youâre talking the Hales I really donât like Derek or his sister,â she explained, âIf itâs Marcus and Hailey theyâre become more okay in my books.â She nodded at his mention of a setup, her face brightening slightly as she realized his idea that she for some reason hadnât thought of before, âThat really would be perfect,â she agreed, âAnd serves them right for the constant eavesdropping.â Although the news of the hunters had at first seemed nothing but negative she couldnât help but feel like it was almost worth it since it would be so much easier to catch the hunters off guard. Then again, she hadnât had to live in near silence for the last few weeks so she wouldnât have been surprised if Nicolas disagreed with that sentiment.
He nodded, removing his hand from her, looking back at her, "It's only fair." Nicolas smirked, seeing the smile rise on her lips, "I'm going to be beside you." He spoke in a calm tone, eyes amused by the possibilities of the whole thing, he didn't trust  Marcus, no matter how much he changed, he refused to agree and the same went for Derek, he refused to trust wolves,and certain vampires as well. "I can't promise anything on that love, just make sure he doesn't say anything particularly stupid and we should be fine." He placed his book on the shelf he'd gotten it from, before chuckling, "The Hale's aren't much of anything to me, I don't interact if I don't have to." He raised his eyebrow and sighed, "If you say so, I haven't much to say on the blonde, kind of stiff if you ask me." He shrugged, turning to Cassandra again, walking up to her, "Might as well make use of these men, they want to report in, I can give them a gold mine." He smirked, looking across her face, "Just tell me when and what."Â
Gatherings || Marcus / Cassandra / or Nicolas
Although there was a slight bundle of nerves in her stomach as Cassandra made her way to the location, the majority of her nervousness was covered up by her sheer desire to rid this town of the hunters once and for all. It was worth it to come here, even with the uncomfortable memories this place held, but even with how ready she was feeling for this entire thing she still wasnât particularly happy about being the first person to arrive at the building. When she heard the approach of footsteps she froze, until quickly recognizing that they belonged to a friend instead of a foe. âIâm not sure,â she replied with a shrug as she looked at Derek, âIâm just showing up where Marcus decided. At least itâs secluded and abandoned,â she suggested as she glanced out towards where Derek had just entered, trying to catch a glance of Nicolas or Marcus since they should have been arriving fairly soon.
Nicolas didn't quite know where the queen's home was, but he found it after a few missed turns and a little scent following. He came up to the grand house, his eyes raising up the side to take in it's massive scale. He knew there were two others in the house, a wolf and a vampire, and that he'd arrived fairly late, but he was there nonetheless. He walked up the stairs and into the house as he followed the voices into the hall, the large symmetrical room that looked a tad picked over, "Maybe this place gives them the chills enough to stay away." He finally spoke, walking over to Cassandra, his hand landing at her waist as he walked to her side, kissing her cheek in a greeting, "This home doesn't feel much like a home as it does a nightmare." He said, looking around them, "Now, where is the large oaf?" He hid his laughter as he looked between Derek and Cassandra.
Theyâve come after me a few times, but no, they havenât. Actually, Iâve been trying to spy on themâ see what I can find out about them.
That's not a very good idea sweetheart, let me take a guess, you're trailing them where ever they go?
Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
"And have you figured out anything?" she questioned, "From listening in on them listening to you?" she doubted he would have found out anything too major, after all then she would have expected that she would have heard about it, but all the same she figured it be best to check all the same since they really were so close to where he was. "Marcus has a history, you know that, and heâs much more likely to want to fight against the hunters in the style I want as opposed to Kacey or a lot of other people in this town who want to play nice," she explained, kind of pulling the answer out of thin air as she went, "And I donât hate his sister, I mean she dug bullets out of my back a few weeks ago, and Sarayaâs dead so she doesnât really count anymore but the last time I saw her we made up so I guess weâre on decent terms too?" She stood silently for a moment, adjusting her weight, before she shrugged, "I guess I just want the hunters gone no matter what it takes," she decided, "Derek might irritated me 99% of the time but at least heâs willing to do what it takes to get them gone."
Nicolas pulled away from her, leaning on a chair before sitting on the arm, "The report to someone at night, kind of like a day report. The have quotas I think." He said, sighing, "I don't say much so they don't get much from me." He shrugged, looking up at Cassandra, eyes searching her face, "You want blood." He stated as he stood, walking to her with a grin, his hand gently taking her chin, pecking her lips with a chuckle, "You don't have to convince me to join you." He was already in, "Just don't expect the best interaction between the wolf and I." He brushed her jaw with his thumb as he dropped it and walked around her, gathering his book and closing it, "I do recall a fierce distaste for the wolf come from you, so I figured it extended down to kin." He shrugged, placing the book on the shelf, "Well I'm in love." He turned and looked at her, "I am in the perfect position for a set up after all." He gestured in the direction of the hunters in the other apartment.

Kate ignored his sarcasm and put herself to her feet, moving towards the man. She shot him point blank, his voice irritating her. âBecause his voice was rather annoying.â she said, blankly, placing the gun back in the holster. âJust surprised if you wanted me to be honest Hon.â she said, grabbing a rag from her pocket and cleaning up the blood on her. âWell thank you for coming to my rescueâŚwhatâs your name anyways?â she asked, not sure they really introduced themselves.
Nicolas removed his hand from the man and watched him fall lifeless to the ground, "He was rather the beggar, quite pathetic if you ask me." He cleaned his hands, and tried to ignore the fact she was a hunter herself, not quite enjoying hunter company. He peeked up from his hands with the pull of his brows, hon, was not something he was used to hearing, and it wasn't something he quite enjoyed. He offered the rag and sighed, "You're welcome." He weighed the choice of telling her or not telling her, pocketing his hands, "Nicolas." He stated in a simple tone, staring at her.Â
Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
Cassandraâs gaze caught his at his denial but she didnât push the subject, instead shooting him a look that showed she wasnât quite sure she believed him. She was about to explain more about Kacey when he moved towards her and covered her mouth so she couldnât speak any longer, her eyebrows raising when he explained as to why he had done so. Her voice was a whisper when she questioned, âYou have them right down the hall from you and yet youâve still been staying here?â It seemed like such a risk to her, especially when it was completely unnecessary, and she couldnât help but be confused by his choice. âYes, Marcus,â she replied as she watched his expression, remembering in that moment how complicated their history really was. âNothing in particular,â she shrugged, âI just want thisâŚÂ problem eradicated and he was in the same boat,â she opened her mouth to explain more before she realized there wasnât much else for her to explain, she wasnât sure why Marcus and her had teamed up, they just had.
Nicolas covered Cassandra's mouth gingerly as he shook his head, telling her the reason and finally removing his hand, "I don't think they know what I am, but they're suspicious." He stated, he liked not being known about with so many hunters in town, granted he wasn't too frightened of them, but it gave him the ability to roam a little free-er, though he was sure with her visit, that would change. "I'm making them think I'm human, as I listen in on them, trying to listen in on me." He took a step back and sighed. He furrowed his brow's and stared at her, "Nothing in particular, but don't you hate him and his sister and whatever her name was, Sandra..Sonya?" He waved his hand, taking a seat on the arm of his chair, "So you went to him, for assistance along with Derek?" He questioned, partially confused on why she hadn't gone to Kacey.
Kate hadnât really had a chance to react, she had managed to handle herself just fine but the out of the blue. She was shot, the bullet filled with something, she was sure it was a more highly concentrated wolfsbane. She wasnât sure it effected her totally but she felt the sting of the bullet and the wolfsbane coarsing, as she gripped her chest. Her blood was still normal color, and not the black blood some werewolf get but it felt like her chest was on fire. Her eyes flashed green. âIâve been doing just fine,â she said, getting herself up. digging her claws in her chest and tugging the bullet out, groaning as she walked over towards Nicolas. His pleading was annoying as she pulled her own gun out and shot him point blank in the head, not giving him a chance to plead for his life. âAnd I thought youâd be the type to just end them, guess we were both wrong.â she said, putting away her gun in itâs holster. âWhyâd you save me anyways.â she said looking up at the vampire, curious. Not that she meant to attack him that one point but she did attack him.
Nicolas held the man, pushing him onto his knees in front of the woman, his eyes watching her struggle for a moment, clear pain on her face but she instantly hid it as soon as she saw him. "I can see that." He said sarcastically, pushing the man back down as he tried to get up, his gun astray on the far left side of the three of them. He raised his brows as his lips down turned, an impressed look struck his face as he heard the metal hit the ground. He held still, allowing her to remove her gun and silence the man's voice, "Order can only get you so far." He released him, his body falling lifeless on the ground at their feet, "What's the fun of a little quick kill, if I can, why not enjoy it." He shrugged, knowing how it sounded to some, he was no better then the hunters, but he wasn't one to particularly care. "Should I not have?" He asked, looking down at his hands, pulling a cloth from his pocket and cleaned the blood splatter on his arm, "I can be...helpful, when I choose to be, regardless on who it is." He looked up at her, "Resentment for past interactions aren't one I tend to care about."

Marcus: Well I checked out the red queen's place. It's clear and hunter free.
Marcus: Meet up here.
Nicolas: That old hag's place, really?

Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
Cassandra entered into the apartment and couldnât help but notice Nicolasâs glance towards the door further down the hall. Her curiosity grew even more when he locked both locks on the door, something that perhaps she just hadnât noticed before, but she didnât remember him doing in the past. âWhatâs that about?â she questioned, nodding to the now locked door in reference to what exactly she was talking about. âItâs about the hunters and Marcus and,â she paused for a moment still partially unable to believe exactly what had happened in the forest, âKacey too.â She took a few more steps into the apartment before speaking once more, âMarcus came up with a plan to deal with the hunters and wanted me to mention it to you, Derek is involved as well but thatâs about it at the moment.â
Nicolas locked the door once Cassandra walked in before taking a step away from the door to face the blonde, her question making him almost freeze up, "Nothing? I always do that." He was ridged, careful, more then he had been in a long time. His eyes widened as he heard her speak, he was mostly confused about the Kacey part, frankly not seeing anthing different about her the last time he spoke to the wolf, "Kacey?" He asked before he shook his head and crossed the distance between them and covered her mouth with his hand, lowering his voice barely enough for her to hear him, "Don't." He listened, removing his hand, "Hunters live in the apartment down the hall Cass." He was still speaking low, "They can hear." He'd collected from the times he'd announced where he was going on the phone and ended up seeing the same hunter waiting and watching from across the street, "Talk low." he said as he let his hands fall over her shoulders and down at his sides. He furrowed his brow, "Marcus?" it didn't matter how much the wolf  "changed" he was still the wolf that pretty much almost tore him apart, "And what has you hanging out with more wolves then usual?"
Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
After speaking with Marucs and hearing his plan for the hunters, Cassandra was already planning on talking to Nicolas. After receiving the text later on from him which stated that something was up with Kacey, she knew that the situation was even more dire and needed to be dealt with as quickly as possible. Instead of just texting or calling him, she decided the quickest way to get everything out on the table would be to go to his apartment and tell him directly face to face. It felt like ages since she had been there but right now that was at the back of her mind. Perhaps it was the 650 year old survivalist in her, but right now endangered lives took precedence over communication or lack therefore ofâ at least for the moment. Walking up the familiar steps, she knocked on the door as per usual, following in the same routine and waiting in hopes that he was in fact home.
Nicolas hadn't ventured out of the apartment too often now that the hunters have fully moved into their town and he didn't feel like being a trap again for a bunch of demented hunters. He'd been at the hand of hunters for many years, had been bait for them to catch someone more worthy of capture, he didn't want a repeat. He was reding when he heard footsteps climbing the steps, his eyes rising to the door, like they always did whenever he heard someone climbing the stairs, wanting to be prepared but they never came to his door, but this time the footsteps stopped just outside his door, the steady knock rapping at the door. Hr rose slowly, his book being sat on the arm of the chair as he walked over to the door, taking a deep breath before a gentle smile rose on his lips, pulling the door open, "What a pleasant surprise." He sidestepped, his eyes falling on the door down the hall, shut and seemingly empty from this distance. "What do I owe this visit love?" he said as he shut the door and locked both locks.
