Definitely not the Avengers.

I’ve finally been going through and trying to sort out more of the supporting cast and trying to nail down their designs. So yeah keeping these rough and simple for now.

Anyway in terms of power distribution, from left it goes; Flight, super strength, super speed, enhanced strength/reflexes/stamina/speed etc. (Super speed lady is called Comet and I’m actually super enjoying developing her story.)

I’ve been trying to study all sorts of stuff to develop some real art skillz, but I’ve had some really trouble sticking with it so I took a break to remind myself why I need to build my skills up in the first place... 

I should probably be beyond the sketching phase for this project now but I’ve been avoiding it so long I sort of needed to remind myself a) how to use my tablet and b) how I actually want this ‘super-hero’ to feel.

Anyway a little headway has been made and the title has 100% unofficially changed from ‘Lol-man’ to ‘Punchline.’ 

I’m doing a dumb stupid dumb thing.

I am dangerously invested in my Pokemon blue play-through right now.

So I bought the Kanto badges off ebay and am planning to frame them alongside an image (or images?) of dramatized drawings of my fake poke-adventures, and I can’t decide whether to draw the team I used on this particular play-through, or the team I usually use, (which contains my favourite Pokemon).

After almost 6 months without it, I fixed* my computer and upgraded** to windows 10. It took me ages to get my tablet to work again and by the time it was working i was to exhausted to do any real concepty arty shizzle whiz***.

A better idea in planning than in execution.

I'm making such little progress with this whole animation thing. I usually rage quit within half an hour and put a few frames together to make something stupid like this.

I need to start learning this stupid animation program hardcore.

Turns out animation is really fiddly, who knew right? 

Learning this stuff is really hard and getting my head around the program I'm using is ever harder. It's super depressing. So I made this logo to cheer myself up, it sorta worked. 

BUT ONE DAY I'LL MAKE AT LEAST ONE CARTOON. Or maybe not, this shit is pretty difficult.

I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm sort of trying to expand on the island temple world I guess, wherein a whole lot of places pretty much just crumbled to poop, so you've got all these places on all these weird broken, and ever so rocky, islands. 

I also just watched HTTYD2 again and the visuals in that are pretty damn gorgeous. I just wanted to draw a big, landscape-y piece or at least a bigger island than the dinky little islands I've drawn previously.

ANIMATION IS SUPER FUN!

That said, this loop took longer then I'm willing to admit, and exporting was a lot fiddlier and took me a lot longer than I anticipated.

I'm side-tracking from my weird island drawing thing because... I'm not actually sure why, I guess this just falls under general procrastination. 

I've still got a hell of a lot to learn before I can finally move towards lolman, or even just miscellaneous animation shorts, but I'm beginning to see that as slightly less of an impossibility now, which for me at least is pretty amazing.
