How are you ? I am well. I saw that you were a criminology student and i was interested in your experience as one, and how you became one, if you’re okay to share . Its a career path that’s really interesting to me, however i don’t know much about it, because for some reasons it doesn’t exist in my country.

Hello! I'm doing well too, thanks for asking!

​When it comes to my studies, I'm actually majoring in criminology and forensic science. The first year was honestly quite boring and something you just had to get through, but now the real classes have started and I'm incredibly happy

​We do criminal profiling, watch autopsy procedures (not live, of course!), and get to use the actual equipment that professionals use at crime scenes. We learn how to collect evidence and fingerprints, figuring out the most effective techniques to do so, and it's actually a lot of fun. We also watch interviews with murderers and discuss what we've noticed in their behavior, why they did it, what their motives were, and many, many more fascinating topics like that

​As for my motivation, I've always been deeply fascinated by the minds of killers. I've always wanted to investigate what drives them to do such things, and I've always seen myself working in this field. I'm not interested enough in the forensic science side to actually do it personally, but it's a damn interesting field too, just incredibly vast (there's a massive range of topics and knowledge you need to master)

​Fun fact: most forensic experts focus on just one specific discipline, like bloodstain pattern analysis. If they were a ,,jack of all trades" instead of highly specialized, they wouldn't be very effective. But of course, they still need an open mind, the ability to connect the dots, and a solid understanding of physics, biology, and chemistry because the job demands it. And, naturally, it's an extremely bloody and messy job

​How did I become a student? In my country, criminology and forensics are highly developed fields and extremely popular, so luckily I had plenty of universities to choose from

I’ve always thought of this song as a femme singing about her first love for a butch. Two women sing here, Bonnie and Blanche, but I mostly want to focus on Bonnie’s verses and perspective

The exact moment a femme realizes she's falling for a butch

These lines feel like a femme inner monologue. She couldn't care less if the rest of the world thinks her love is wrong, she ignores that inner voice that says "common sense may say it's wrong", she was born that way ("you can't help how you're made"). And that specific line, "Most girls would hate to be standing in my shoes"? To me, that’s her reflecting on how heterosexual women or just society in general, might not understand this love. But for this femme, being with her butch isn't a burden, it's a dream come true. She knows her love is real, beautiful, and entirely hers

Blanche sings this part, but in this interpretation, I read it as that lingering anxiety from the femme's perspective. When you're queer, especially visibly queer/butchfemme, there's always that quiet fear in the back of your mind. The fear that the "fairytale" might shatter one day because of a homophobic society, the staring, and the lack of acceptance. But despite it all, she actively chooses to reject those fears, choosing to live in the moment and fiercely protect the love she's found

As for games, I really like horror games, cozy games like stardew valley and shooters. I also love co-op games to play with friends, recently we’ve been playing Outlast Trials a lot. I also really enjoy bigger open world games like Red Dead Redemption 2 (I still need to get RDR1 but I love having games on disc and it’s hard to find this one in my country), The Witcher 3, and I recently finally started Cyberpunk, which has been sitting on my shelf since like 2021 lmao. And recently I also returned to my greatest enemy, Genshin, because I need to collect a few beautiful women
