Bow Before the Next Queen of England

Kitty was pleased with a topic change, but would have chosen any topic other than their predicament. She gave a slight shrug of her shoulder, and a grunt before stating, “It’s got its pros and cons. Wouldn’t say I’m ‘excited’ though.”

She normally would have yelled at anyone who tried to help her - after all, she could take care of herself. Instead, she let him help her up, knowing that he was only trying to make sure her arm didn’t move. “Thank you,” she grumbled, hating that she wasn’t able to do it herself. At the very least, she was able to walk on her own.

Kitty wanted to pounce on the girl - make her stop laughing at her. She couldn’t understand why the other girl was so easily getting under her skin. “Shut up,” she muttered. 

Kitty rolled her eyes. “I could have already been there,” she muttered under her breath. Carefully, and very gingerly, she cradled her wrist against her chest, trying to avoid moving it as she got up. It was rather difficult without using her hands. 

“Whatever,“ she grumbled. She would have to remember not to let that happen again. She couldn’t let anyone see her flustered. “It’s not funny,“ she added as an after thought.

Kitty shook her head. “Nothing, it’s not important.” It truly wasn’t. Starting to feel the blood rush to her head too much, the acrobatic mischief maker unhooked her legs from the branch, flipped mid-air, and landed in a crouch on the sandy ground. 

                                          YOU WANNA SAY SOMETHING? 

“And sometimes family try to steal the crown,“ she mumbled. Her father had tried to do so, and even now, she was actively plotting to steal the crown from her uncle. 

Kitty grimaced at her uncle’s name. “Yeah, that’s him!” she said with false enthusiasm. “My father and I don’t really see eye to eye with uncle Richard, but that’s besides the point.”

“I said I’m fine!“ Kitty shouted, her frustration growing. “What’s it to you anyway?!“ It was in this moment that Kitty pushed past Maggie, grumbling as she headed on towards the castle. 

Kitty bit down on her lip, her fang like teeth pressing dangerously hard into the flesh. The pink tinge darkened, the blush heating up her cheeks. “I- I’m fine.” That was all she could say. In truth, she didn’t know how she was. Someone she was suppose to hate, wanted to give her a chance. How was she suppose to feel about that?
