Donāt think about how Minho would have had to watch Newt fall apart after the serum took hold and Newt realized that he killed Thomas and that he would have to live with it.
Donāt think about Newt in the safe haven, carving Thomasās name onto that rock, and tossing his letter into the ocean.
Donāt think about Minho panicking when Newt would disappear, only to find Newt sobbing, broken, on the beach, wishing he could let the waves wash him away.
Donāt think about Newt killing Thomas and that being the reason he gets the serum and survives.
Donāt think about how, after the first few weeks, the serum stops working, because with Thomas dead, there is no cure. And donāt think about how Newt would notice the serum wearing off and the Flare getting worse and how he wouldnāt tell anyone.
And whatever you do, donāt think about how Minho would finally have to accept that Newt couldnāt be saved the day he disappeared into the forests of the safe haven, his veins pulsing with black blood and his eyes dark, as he wandered the island begging for Thomas to kill himāitās what he deserved.
Donāt think about how the Flare would eat its way through Newtās mind until Vince had no choice but to kill him, and how in his final moments, Newt would see Thomasās name carved on that rock and he could only hope that Minho would add his just next to it.
