The Talon seems to hold some sort of magic. No matter how busy it is, no matter how many people are packed inside the old theater, it has a sort of calmness.
Clark doesn’t know if it is some sort of magic Lana has woven into the space, a mixture of hidden speakers and painstakingly curated playlists or the way the seating is arranged so that every table and chair feel like their own private island.
It’s this intimate atmosphere that has Clark forget he’s technically still in public. Has him forget people can technically still see as he moves his leg to hook an ankle around Lex’s.
His friend looks up at him, blue eyes widening slightly as his nose flares.
“Clark,” it’s an admonishment. Brisk, yet soft, his tongue sticking on the L in a way that has Clark blush. A soft warmth starts to tug at his gut, one he should feel more ashamed of, one he shouldn’t savor.
“Lex,” Clark teases. He flashes his teeth at him, in what must be a bright smile, because Lex tucks his chin to his chest as his ears turn a rosy pink.
