今天Chinternet: Mao Zedong Rainbow gif, found in Wechat groups August 3rd, 2015 after an evening of magical rainbow sunset phenomenon in Beijing. We had been experiencing weeks of massive smog until one lucky evening a rainbow emerged cross the sky and filtered into every Beijing wechat moment, creating a 3 hour meme that got national attention.  This .gif circulated by the time the sun finally set and images of rainbows ceased in our wechat moments. Collected for research by Michelle Proksell.
