Darling, the Wine // One Year of Roses

Rosanna sits next to Rose, the boys sit together, and for whatever reason the format feels very cute to her. She scans through the menu, debating what she wanted and if Mark would split an app with her. Or maybe she should offer it to the table. Everything looks good. She can confirm almost everything is good. She purses her lips as she scans, giving a little hum as she goes. feels Rose next to her, her menu high to her face and close to her, and wonders what she is considering.
She puts her menu back down and smiles over to Ethan and his offer, “That sounds delicious, I’ll drink for two.” She giggles and winks over to Mark, who does across from her.
Mark can not help to shoot a look both to the love birds and his lovebird. He was fascinated by Ethan courting the young lady. Theresa part of his brain that light up in alarm, but hey, the kid looked like he's exactly where he wants to be. He was a little freak. Affectionate.
Now Rosanna, drinking for two, lights a whole different alert up and he looks at her with a raised brow and chuckle over his menu. " I don't think thats how it works."
Ethan held in the grunt from the sudden pain in his foot, passing it off as a chortle of laughter. It was good, he needed to be in check. "It can work like that tonight!" he agreed with her, playfully ready to bat for Rosanna despite him not needing to in the situation. "I don't know when the last time I've seen Rosanna all loosed up actually.."
Rose's hand tenses on the table, bunching the napkin she held, trying not to make a joke about how if Ethan would be a little more persistent, she could pretend to drink for two as well, but that didn't seem appropriate right now. Not in front of decent company like them. "You don't have to be in the house when Mark comes over." She says without thinking of it, eyes widening on herself but she stays locked on the menu now.
“Thank you, Ethan. Drinking for two then!” She confirms with a giggle, looking to Ethan with a nod at his validation to her silly little nonsense and then back at Mark with a playful smarmy purse of her lips and little wiggle.
Rose’s words slip through the air and take her by surprise. A tint warming against her cheeks and nipping up to her ears with red. Her eyes blink wide and she sputters and short circuits for a beat or two. “Buh-.. I-..” she tries but the poet was silenced as she bashfully smiles and then cups her hand to her face.
Mark breaths in sharp and quick at Rose's comment and looks over at her with a slight suspicion but he also knew that was entirely possible. Not likely! but possible. "You're lying." He laughs.
She shrugs and pulls up her menu to hide her face. It was funnier to let it be a joke about being loud than admit their sweetness was sickening.
"Ro, drink for me too." He chuckles, red resting on the tops of his cheeks.
There was surprise in Ethan's eyes at Rose's comment, cheeks growing a little bright themselves, but a wicked grin plastered across his face that it was almost barely noticeable. He had no words either, but his stomach was bubbling from joy at just how flustered the other two suddenly became. He had to push it down, resist laughing out loud and just letting it slip between his words instead. "Well, I'll flag down the waiter then!" you could just hear the smile in his tone, eyes lingering over Rose for just a moment longer before he tried to look for the waiter in question.
Rose looks across at Ethan after he's herded someone towards them. "You can order mine for me." She offers, which feels very generous and genuine in the circumstances. Her lashes flutter at him before she looks back to Rosanna. "Actually the house has been peaceful recently."
Rosanna plays with the straw in her cup of water, idly trying to regain the normal color of her cheeks as the others talk. She’s smiling all the while, though. A cheeky kind of embarrassed smile. Grateful Ethan carries on normally.
She looks to Mark through her lashes when he speaks again, and the color of her face goes a little pink again, naturally, just by catching his gaze. “That’s what I meant silly. Drinking for the two of us.” She smiles to him, her heart beat a little crazy.
It was probably silly to be so coy about these things. And she wasn’t, REALLY, but it did tickle her nonetheless.
She looks to Rose, once more, when Alpha is referred, and she gives a soft smile and sucks in her bottom lip. “Yeah ?” She asks, her throat catching with the word, she clears it for stability.
