It oke! I’ve seen those posts - “go lifting with your black friends bc SAs will automatically sus them while you lift :)))” and “use sign language if an SA talks to you lol foolproof plan guys!!!!” 🤢 gross - POC and disabled people really aren’t costumes to be pulled on for lifting. It’s very disrespectful in my opinion😞 Thankfully, it’s not something I have come across very often.I share pretty much everything I lift at some point or another, whether through donations, item swaps, or bc I got them as gifts. I did seasonal clear-outs of my stuff, although that’s slowed down recently bc I’ve been lifting less. I let my friends look through the stuff first in case there’s anything they want, then I take the rest to various charity shops or drop them in those British Heart Foundation donation bins. The only things I don’t get rid of are the things that are necessary and functional, and the stuff I love so much I want to keep it forever - the latter doesn’t happen very often though.I think the lifting community has a pretty solid mix of POC and white people, and the majority seems to live in either poor or extremely frugal environments. This is just from what i’ve seen though - stuff ppl have posted about or let slip about their lives. I myself am British and mixed, and have experienced my fair share of poorness😅 I can’t speak to being pretty though and I’m not sure what that has to do with liftblr.I have to say I’m not really bothered about rich white girls lifting - for all I know their family splashes their wealth around in public and neglects them in private. I had a friend whose fairly-well-off family was starving her, so maybe that’s where I get that viewpoint from.But yeah. I’m not sure what you wanted from this message, but I hope I managed to give it✨😊✨

i think it’s also just practice. i was lifting for years before i made my account here, and my first haul was a scrunchie and a pair of untagged fabric shorts from H&M😋😋 a three shirt haul to me back then was everything!! before i even lifted i did a huge amount of research. it gets easier to do bigger hauls and correctly estimate how much you can handle as time goes on, and it’s okay as long as you don’t get too greedy and brazen about it. but i think it’s mainly planning, swiftness, and experience that help me make big hauls. and coffee!! i like to treat myself to coffee in the middle as a pick me up, which definitely helps! mustn’t forget that☕️💕

ayyyyy good luck!! watch out for LP bc they’re super on their game on shopping holidays! but also be aware that a lot of SAs are going to be new and inexperienced - Christmas temps and the like. plan what you want beforehand so you can get in and out quickly - the crowds are going to be exhausting and a little brutal😥 bring extra shopping bags to conceal in just in case you get more than you planned for - plenty of people will have many bags from their purchases so you won’t be out of place (and bulging bags are a lifter no-no.) everyone will be moving quickly to get what they want before anyone else, so match their pace and don’t move too slow. you might want to polish up on quick concealment techniques beforehand, since you won’t get much privacy on those crowded shop floors. this could mean bringing props to help you - wearing a coat with big sleeves for sleeve concealment, wearing a scarf to hide stuff behind, etc. if i’m worried that ppl might see me conceal, i use others as blindspots - e.g. letting someone stand between me and a camera so i can conceal behind them, and sometimes purposefully approaching someone bigger than me to hide behind while i conceal. in my experience all the dressing rooms will be messy and there will be tags and trash strewn about, so if you need to be a little bad and leave behind a tag or a hanger or two just go for it. uhhhhh this is all i can think of! hope it helps you out💗

I would usually never be this greedy but my friend just owes me so much money, and I was lifting full of rage and resentment… I might just quit although I still can’t see myself paying for a bottle of water…

So I just put on my pants, drop the shit that I brought in and walk out to see the security unlock the door to the dressing room right in front of me and I see these two guys in there and one of them was zipping up their pants furiously and the other was pulling up their pants with is like wide eyed look on his face. Apparently the heavy breathing was them “enjoying one another’s company”.
