Most of the people you knew, perceived your lips as the attractive part of your body. I get the song Walls by Louis Tomlinson, if you haven't listened to it. You can check it on YouTube. People think that you have these walls that protect you. They say: you protect yourself too much in a point they came up that you were hiding a gold? Not totally a real one but it's a metaphor. Although, some may find this charming but others find this menace.
I suspect people say you keep your feelings so close to your heart, that you're very selective who gets to see the real you. If you have like a group of friends that you used to talk to (before) and now lost a communication now. They say, you enjoy your time now, they can tell that you've been through a massive change like you have been recreated. There's a change they feel.
