Yo - sorry for making you wait for this response. Haven’t been back here in a minute. All I can advise is that you keep shooting and keep sharing, become a contributor for various media orgs and outlets, they’re always looking for people to give them content. I worked for various companies and developed a network through the work they sent me out to do. Be memorable and reliable, the work should start pouring in. You’re gonna hear no A LOT, you can’t let it get to you. Keep at it.

© Neo Baepi 2017 Young black South African creatives for a Woolworths campaign. I'm not in the business of giving daps to people and spaces for being decent and welcoming for justice and equality. But I was given the opportunity to shoot these young Black kids for a Woolworths Style By SA campaign which brings local designers into their stores. A lot of these designers are black and brown. The faces in these images are black. And this is not a commendation to Woolworths as much as it is a "FINALLY". A huge issue in marketing : who are we selling to? Why on earth would they want to buy it? For about 85 years, Woolworths has sold to a largely white and rich customer base. It has become South Africa's bastion of whiteness. We tend to associate whiteness with rightness. Woolworths quality and all that shit. Woolies took a risk here and it's going to pay off. Rising LSMs be blacker than ever before nigga. Anyway shoutout Tusa, Langa, Onthatile, Nandipha and Nolwazi for doing dope. Shoutout Young and Lazy, SOL-SOL, Rich Mnisi, Thebe Magugu, Selfi, Pichulik, AKJP and Mariam McCloy for the amazing things they are putting out there. TAKE ALL OF MY COINS. And shoutout Woolworths SA for using their wide platform for good and meaningful work. I'm done ranting now.
