Oh yes, I support 100% anyone who chooses to protest peacefully, but there must be a level of decorum where others aren't physically injured and threatened. Perhaps there were too many people in attendance and an inadequate police presence which caused this ruckus. The NYPD only added more fuel to the fire, which isn't ideal for this type of situation. Universities are releasing statements where they did contact the authorities fearing for everyone's safety, both sides. 

My heart breaks for Palestine, and Israel’s kidnapped citizens. But right now, we are truly witnessing mass genocide on a large scale with no immediate resolve or ceasefire. I admire the plight of many of these individuals whom are simply fighting for peace. Kudos to those brave enough to voice and march against everyone opposing, trying to hold influence/in control and to keep them quiet. It is very brave to place yourself in the middle of this chaos pushing back by defending innocent victims.

Workers World Party is organizing a bus from NYC to Washington DC.  We’ve been in the streets every day for Palestine, along with many tens of thousands of others in NYC and across the country. Bring your banners, signs, flags, drums and sound to Washington DC.  We will also have lots of signs and flags. 

Millions of outraged people globally are mobilizing! This is a sea change shaking Zionism and its U.S. imperialist backers to the core.

We are leaving from the Workers World office at  121 W 27th St at 7:30am on Sat., Nov. 4 to go to Washington DC. Please be there by 7am.  Reserve your seat NOW!

Through your donations and many others, we can subsidize bus seats for students and fixed income activists at only $30 round trip.  Regular seats will be $60 round trip.  If you can’t attend, then please financially help others participate.

Months ago, Workers World Party endorsed the Black is Back 15th Annual Black People's March on the White House and denounced the U.S. government frame-up attack on the African People's Socialist Party. This rally continues the demand: Drop the Charges on the Uhuru 3! & Free Palestine!

This rally gathers at Malcolm X Park at 16th St & W St, Washington DC, NW.

Then the bus will stop at the Free Palestine rally – a national coalition of many Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, left and community organizations. We support the demands: Stop the Bombing of Gaza! End all U.S. aid to Israel! 

This rally gathers at: Freedom Plaza at 13th St. & Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC, NW.

Both rallies will march on the White House at 16th St & Pennsylvania Ave. to denounce Biden’s criminal role in racist attacks and continuing war!

The bus will pick up people and return to NYC at 5:30pm from Freedom Plaza.

Sad and heartbreaking! Of course no one deserved to die! Obviously, neither did the Palestinians for years now. Don't get mad at the rage of the oppressed, get mad at the oppressor who has gotten and supported the other side financially and militarily for years now so Palestinians got into this situation.. many have been profiting from their oppression this whole time.

Its abhorrent! The dehumanization of Palestinians in mainstream media and news for years was big and now it has become massive. I’ve never seen it this bad in my entire life and it’s been disgusting long before this. It terrifies me to know how widespread it has become especially throughout the imperial core —nobody throughout history has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them. I have also never seen so much support Palestine, either. Palestinian liberation is something on a lot of people's minds now, solidarity efforts are global and many more are voicing their support. It's time to free Palestine!!

Malcolm X's cautionary words remind us of the potential harm newspapers can inflict: "Without vigilance, newspapers can manipulate our sentiments, fostering hatred towards the oppressed while nurturing admiration for those who perpetuate oppression." This powerful statement serves as a reminder to approach media critically, ensuring that we maintain empathy for the marginalized and seek justice for those facing oppression. By remaining mindful of the narratives presented to us, we can strive for a more informed and compassionate society.
