After so much time, everyone always talks about the "new" Loki, and only ever mentions the "original" Loki when talking about how evil he was. But that just wasn't always true. His schemes had reasons, and there were many comics where he just wanted to be "part of the group" but resorted to chaos when he got pushed out. So many scenes where we see that all he ever wanted was to fit in and to have his brother's affection. I miss the original, as stupid as it sounds. I miss his hearts in the sand, I miss his hiding behind Thor in scary situations, I miss his one-sided familial love and his jealousies, I miss his plans to hurt Thor only to save him in the end because he can't help but love his brother. And it feels like he just never even existed, except for a boogeyman story. He was also a person, he had dreams and fears, likes and dislikes, goals and ambitions. He was complex. Don't get me wrong, Loki is my all-time favourite character (the proof is in my account) but I like *all* Lokis, and sometimes I just miss the og. I wonder if he feels betrayed, by Thor. Thor adores this new Loki (it's all the same Loki tbf) in a way he never did for the OG. I can't help but hurt for the scene in Agent of Asgard where Thor brings Loki to Asgard for "judgement" and he says that this isn't "their" Loki, but the original monster. It hurts man. That "monster" was your brother first! You grew up with that "monster" Original Loki appreciation post, because we don't get any of that in this economy 💔
