If you walk in one direction long enough, you'll reach somewhere. Your destination is predetermined, by forces you'll never see.
Where will you end up?
I suppose you'll just have to see.
Though be wary, for there are beasts that linger beneath the sands. Their songs can be felt, you just have to listen.
And pray a protector is near.
“Where am I?”
The sand was soft, almost as if it wasn’t sand at all. I looked around and saw nothing but golden sand for miles, and miles.
I looked to the sky to see if maybe there was something there, it was bright but cloudy. Like someone smudged the sky and now it’s all one colour.
The sun,
...
There is no sun. Nor clouds in the sky. Only the same solid colour covering the sky with no sign of change nor weather.
“This is strange.”
I stood up, deciding to just start walking rather than sitting in the sand. I looked down at myself finally, only to see I am not.. human.
My arms long with bird like wings, only.. skeletal. Yet? still with feathers. Long and ivory white, they feel more like bone than feather. At least, those that I suppose now make up my hand. I reach up and feel my face. A long beak extended out where there I should just meet nothing until I reach my mouth.
Well, I suppose I had reached my mouth, just, no longer the human one I once had.
My body now wrapped up in layers of cloth, yet even with the heat of the desert, I was cold.
“What am I?”
I start to walk, finding that even my feet no longer were human. But instead long and bird like. Though I likely looked like no bird you nor I have ever seen before.
I climb over a hill of sand, nearly falling as I make my way up. My legs feel numb but slowly regaining feeling back. Getting used to their new avian appearance.
As I stand atop the large hill of sand, I look over and see nothing but sand for miles and miles.
“Where am I?”
