On one hand this is hilarious and the most Tim Drake thing ever
On the other hand, this is the third fic I've read where the Batfam thinks that one of Tim's IDs is mistreating/endangering another one of Tim's IDs while having no idea either one is Tim XD

If you haven't heard, the em dash has been getting a lot of attention lately…
Because it was trained on pirated work—including freely accessible online writing (like fanfic, academic texts)—ChatGPT picked up patterns and quirks native to human writing.
Including (sigh) the em dash.
There are other victims here (RIP tapestry and delve 🫠), but the appropriation of the em dash—a punctuation mark beloved by writers everywhere—feels especially personal.
A kind of low-grade panic is ensuing. Writers who once memed their own em dash overuse—the greatest punctuation mark ever to grace the control-freak’s lexicon, frankly—are suddenly backing away to avoid accusations.
No. More. We have centuries of dash-abusing writers behind us. We will not sit quietly while AI repurposes our beloved stilted aside—or the just-one-more clarification the sentence demands—or the dramatic pause your comma could never—etc.
You don’t write like AI—AI writes like you.
Defend the em dash.

for the longest time when i was younger i thought that jk rowling was a man and eoin colfer was a woman -- purely based on their writing since none of my books had author profile pics -- and i think that says something about both of them

Resource for new Bungo Stray Dogs fans so you don't go insane like I did making this lol. Could also be for longtime fans, idk, I'm not new at this point. I just have only watched the anime and read like one novel
Anyways, here's all the story arcs (in narrative chronological order) and which media forms they're in and when those media forms came out -- for the books: not always the official publishing date because sometimes they come out special first before proper printing. My info is up to date as of April 15, 2025 but admittedly mostly taken from the wiki and organized into this!
Now you never have to ask "which came first the manga or the novel?" again lol. Or in the one weird case, the anime movie?

don't mind my likes, I just finally got around to watching the Sk8 OVA and I am now climbing the walls. just generally going insane over our scraps of new content hehe
Posting about AniWA again over a month later bc I'm a mess and also who's gonna stop me. Feat. the Bungo Stray Dogs panel, which included (for the purpose of these clips) English VAs Jamieson Price (Fukuzawa Yukichi), Landon McDonald (Edogawa Ranpo), and Nicolas Roye (Nakahara Chuuya).
Highlights according to me:
Cast members were asked about their hobbies and Roye proceeded to talk about pinball for over 5 minutes straight (yes, I started timing it lol)
Tangentially related to this, McDonald started talking about how he's a fan of Twin Peaks and recently visited where it was filmed -- this was relevant since he saw a cool pinball machine in a local bar. This was also wild to me because sir that is way too close to my out-of-the-way small town for you to just appear so casually
In other news, Roye whipped out Chuuya's rich girl line from Dazai's kind-of-kidnapping in Season 1 with so little prompting because he just likes doing it
An excellent fan interaction:
Fan: "Can I ask about another anime--"
Price, loudly and doing Fukuzawa's voice: "NO"
(clearly the real answer was yes but it was still hilarious imo)
When asked about whose Ability they would want, McDonald said he would want Poe's Ability while Roye said the "Corruption scream." Not Tainted Sorrow, not Corruption. Just the scream he gets to voice for it (... is someone going to tell him he kinda already has that power?)
Price had no idea that the BSD characters were based on real authors when he started in BSD. McDonald, on the other hand, actually already enjoyed the works of the real-life Edogawa Ranpo in relation to Sherlock Holmes
