I recently came across an injured cat that clearly needed help. I know some of you may not want to see pictures like this, but as an animal lover, I couldn’t just walk away without doing something.

It's here!!! Wild platinum European red fox. Lighting is terrible today so these are the best pics I could get. Will take some better ones outside when it's not raining.

This fox is my holy grail. I have been obsessed with these wild platinum foxes since I saw a photo of one in 2011. I've always wanted the chance to examine one up close so getting this beauty is very exciting. The fur on it is so interesting. It has the coarse texture of a European fox but with slightly longer guard hairs and a thick woolly undercoat like a farmed American red fox (NARF). You can definitely tell that it's a European x NARF hybrid!

Hybrids are becoming more common in the UK and parts of Europe. In the past this was the result of farm foxes escaping/being released, but more recently it's due to pet NARFs that escape/are abandoned and breed with the native wild foxes. Some of these foxes are direct hybrids, but many are the result of hybridisation many generations back. Here's some more examples of wild platinum foxes from the UK:

I have to say, I don't know of any instance where the Warners' hands appear white. Every example I know of where they show their hands, they are black.

There could be two things going on here. If the Warners control what they look like when they transform, which I think they probably do, then it could be them choosing for their hands to be white sometimes. Considering they wear gloves all the time, maybe that's just how they've come to see themselves by default. They think of their hands as white even if they know their real color underneath. Maybe they don't like that their hands are black for some reason.

The other possibility is the same as the real world explanation- the in-universe animators chose to make the Warners look like that to keep their white glove look even when they're not wearing white gloves. We have seen the Warners mention and interact with animators in the show before, which means that they are aware that their appearance changes based on how they're drawn. However, it isn't clear if the animators they know of are the actual real world animators, or animators that only exist inside the world of Animaniacs. In Yakko Amakko, for instance, when Yakko pulls the animator in, he isn't interacting with the real life animator of the show. He's interacting with a fictional animator who is herself animated. It's kind of confusing. Perhaps, in the universe of the show, animators do have power to change the appearance of toons in real time. Or perhaps they are just referring to the real animators.
