Guys Do Yoga!

If I knew how any of this technology worked. . . like maybe had someone to show me or teach me. . . I might be dangerous. Being self taught is great. That means you never know what you don’t know. I’d much rather be taught by someone who knows. Teach me the game, give me the rules, and you’ll be amazed at what I can come up with. . . so long as it’s not love because that’s not supposed to make sense on purpose.

We need to tell the future generations you aren't special. You aren't unique. You are just like everyone else. Life isn't fair either. Stop believing in romance or fairy tales because you will be disappointed Odds are you'll have a couple of kids with someone you'll divorce and hate. You'll have to work a job that doesn't pay enough to support your kids until they are old enough to do the same Romance is dead. Feminism killed it. If you want love make a lot of money. Love money. Love making money. And love anyone with money. Hate people who don't have money... Or just ignore them because they don't matter. Only hang out with people who can get you more fame or money either directly or indirectly. That is what I've learned from Taylor swift. As for me...I'm going to do yoga. I don't care about you or anyone but me. Nobody else cares about me so if I don't nobody will.

Miami Beach, FL -3rd Street Beach Yoga State of yoga in America 1989 find your chill review tour Power flow On the beach in South Beach Miami Beach is a great place for a lot of things. Yoga is widespread in Miami because people like to be healthy and do things outside. If you're looking for the perfect place to do yoga and you want to combine it with a beach outing third Street beach yoga is the best option. Third Street beach yoga is a yoga class on the beach every single day at sunrise and sunset. so it's twice a day. It's a donation-based class on Miami Beach and they meet at one of the lifeguard stations. They have a rotation of several different local teachers that teaches the class. The class had about 20 people but all during the class there were people on the beach that would join us for parts of time to do the yoga with us. This was probably my favorite stop on the trip, not necessarily because of the yoga. while it was good and I really enjoyed the class, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the instructor. Her name is Jessica and she is the manager for Miami life center where Kino McGregor and Tim Feldmann founded the ashtanga yoga center in Miami Beach. She arrived out of the ocean like a mermaid on her boogie board and asked me if I was there for yoga and I said yes. She informed me that she was the teacher and that I was in the right place. That day she was disappointed because there weren't that many waves. there was a hurricane coming in and we were expecting a lot of waves but it was really call ocean. The class was rooted in the traditional ashtanga practice. The sequencing was similar to the power flow classes that I teach. It was an all levels class so she cued basic poses but instructed that we could go deeper if we wanted. She also told us that the poses would feel different on the sand since it was uneven. I thought some of the balances would be easier. But the sand did cause a different awareness in many of the poses. It added an extra dimension to the normally sterile environment where we practice. It was sticky so when you got off of your mat you were sure to have a lot of sand stuck to you. It didn't hurt and it wasn't a bad thing... It was just another thing. I did do handstands and headstands and bird of paradise. The beach was awesome and the weather was perfect. I set my mat next to someone who had graduated from Chapel Hill and practiced in places that I had practiced back home. It has been interesting to see the influence of North Carolina on yoga in many areas I visited. Especially Asheville yoga. Nonetheless we finished the hour class and I did a savasana. Being on the beach in Miami beach was a treat. It's donation based so while you don't have to pay anything if you can afford it you should support the teacher. Jessica was a newlywed (too bad for me) from London. She said she came to visit once and loved it so much that she moved there. Again, I can't stress how struck I was with how fantastic she was. Just nice and cool and fun and friendly. Anyway, if I'm ever down there again I'll make sure to catch one of their classes on the beach. Third street beach yoga has been going on for almost 20 years every day except when it is raining. Nobody seemed to think it would be stopping any time soon. Why would it? Yoga and the beach...why didn't I think of that?!

I'm amazed at videos of much poorer quality getting hundreds of "notes" of the same thing as my video. I didn't post it for "notes" I don't really care. I wasn't expecting to get any. But seeing what people "like" compared to mine is why I don't care what others think. I'm amazing. Sorry for being so great. I'll be in New York and traveling around the world teaching yoga in exotic locations to beautiful women because I'm great and I have a lot of years left to live... And I'll do it without anyone's help that I know of now. And I'll remember. I don't need help. I work hard. What's most important is superficial rather than quality. And it's generally women that are the problem.

Well I guess I should post pictures of Taylor. I mostly watched the show. But I did take a lot of pictures. I didn’t like any of them. I'm a horrible photographer. Taylor is great. I like her for what and who she is. She appeals to young girls for a reason. It was a great show. Geared toward young girls … Better than anything Disney would do. I’ll stop there. Look I love Taylor. I’d marry her in a second if she’d say yes and I wouldn’t even look at another girl. But here’s Taylor and Miranda. (Again I’m not a country fan but I know Miranda and appreciate the significance.

Seriously there have been awesome girls in my past that I would never date because I didn't like their mom. I thought that would be the case here. But I liked her. I wouldn't say it if I didn't.

... After enrolling 68 people in annual benefits this morning and I have to do it again at 5am tomorrow.

I was going to write something cute along the lines of "this love came back to me" or "Taylor are you following me." But I realize I don't matter. nothing I say think or do matters. I don't have enough money or fame for Taylor Swift to give a damn about me. I've been following Taylor since she put out shake it off about a year ago. I've learned a lot about marketing and music and our society and teenage girls. I don't think Taylor has any idea what love is or what being a powerful person means. In recent interviews at the pinnacle of her career the only thing she could talk about was articles written about her that she disagreed with. It's always along the lines of she's a victim of some sort and she needs to be defended and get revenge. I can't imagine how she's going to feel when things arent going her way. what is she going to focus on. Powerful women arent victims. or let me put it this way powerful people arent victims. If I had a vote for Grammy and someone who wanted to win told me that they cried when they didn't win the last time, I would never vote for them. This is a person who needs to learn to grow up and be happy for other people. it's not about her. She's training women to be victims similar to the feminist movement. We are so equal and dainty that we need to be protected. Give-me-a-break. Artists don't need to compare themselves with other people. they do their art to express themselves not to win not to get revenge. She begs for people to vote for her for every single award. It's a nonstop marketing bonanza unlike anything ever. She markets over the Internet to teenage girls and preteen girls. they can't drive they don't have any other way of doing things. They don't have their own money they don't have bills or jobs. they spend their parents money and their parents are happy to spend money on things that make them happy because all during those years it is difficult to find things that would make them happy. She wrote about Tim McGraw because he was famous. If 1989 had been about some random guy she fell in love with it would not have been as successful. these preteen and teen girls wanted to know what it was like to date harry styles. Then when you point out these facts to Taylor Swift she gets offended and she pretends to be hurt as though she didn't know this was a big part of the appeal going into it. I didn't know who harry styles was until I knew that 1989 was about him and then I started seeing all these little girls who also happen to be Taylor Swift fans that loved him. So love is about revenge to Taylor swift. all of Taylor Swift songs have a tinge of hate and it's for revenge. She says she doesn't care what people think about her. but every single move that she's done since she's been in the public eye has been based on what people thought about her. She said she wants to be a role model. you don't want to be a role model and not care what other people think about you. She said bad blood was about someone other than a boyfriend because she didn't want to make him think that that the song was about him. so again it's about worrying about what someone else would think of you. Worrying about dating being a "career weakness" which is a far cry from abdicating the throne for someone you love like King Edward VIII. Romance means something different to "New Romantics" I suppose. Now we get to Taylor's current relationship that just happens to be with another famous rich guy. She wants to transition into fame with people other than little girls. This is it. She needs to have a long term relationship so people stop saying she dates guys for just a few months. Going into this relationship I'm sure they made a deal that it would be at least x number of months to even some years. "Calvin" can do whatever he wants and Taylor will stay with him to "prove" she can have a long term relationship. It's all based on what others think of her. Taylor is an actress. She plays the part of Taylor swift. I liked the girl but she is so insecure that she can't just be herself. She has to be this person she created. She will never be satisfied. She will always want more and will always be a victim. It's fine except she is leading an entire generation of girls to believe they are entitled victims. Of course I'm too old for her or them, but "ageism" is an accepted form of discrimination. (See what I did there? I'm speaking in the only language they understand - ironically). Her friends are only friends because of her success. Just like she used Tim McGraw (et al) other people are using her for more fame and hopefully money. It's the cult of personality on steroids. It's not new. The whole idea of collaborations is to get better known by a different set of fans. If they didn't care about money and fame but art, they wouldn't see a need. Anyway. I'm going to this show. It's anti-climactic. I've been to every show city and venue during this tour in the U.S. I am amazing and I don't care what anyone else thinks. I teach and practice yoga so that's what I did. No I can't afford the tickets. I'm hoping she can use the money I spent to buy something nice for Calvin. I understand he's a struggling artist with the purest of intentions too. I'll meet with Taylor nation and stand in the b pit to watch the spectacle so I can say I did it. It will be too loud and too much stimulation. I don't belong there. I'll never belong at a Taylor swift concert. I'm not her audience. I never expected anything from my project but to be awesome. I am awesome. I prove to myself I am awesome. Nobody else thinks so and it doesn't matter to me. I'm a worker. I work. Love is for the complainers and victims. I'm alive to work til I die. But don't complain to me about your crap romances. Women have made it so any man who romances them is dumb. Just sleep around, get women pregnant, and leave them is the family and romance of the future. I've learned that on this 1989 journey. Women want money and fame, not love...especially Taylor Swift. Written by a disappointed man. Not sad or frustrated. Disappointed.

Lexington, Ky - ageless yoga State of yoga in America. 1989 find your chill yoga review Power flow vinyasa Heated There is actually an interesting story to go along with this edition of my project. I had contacted Kitty the owner to take a class few weeks before actually attending. I got there on time but due to some confusion I left before class started. So I had to make another trip to get this class in. I'm glad I contacted Kitty because she was so nice and supportive of my project. I made sure that when I went back to Lexington several weeks later it was to her studio called Ageless Yoga. This studio is fairly new so it has some state of the art equipment. The space is upstairs and has hardwood floors (my favorite). There is plenty of room for 70-80 people for workshops and it has nice windows for natural lighting. The cool new thing is the heaters. I was expecting the class to be heated. When I arrived the studio was room temperature. When I asked about the heat, she pointed to a series of heaters on the ceiling she said would heat us from the inside as soon as she turned it on. I had heard of these new style heaters but I had never practiced with them. They were really cool, well hot... But very effective in quickly raising the temperature with some sort of radio waves. I don't know the technical specs but it worked and I was hot even though there was no "heat". Cool stuff So the teacher's name was Emily. She was a fairly new teacher but she enjoyed yoga. She took us through a power flow class that offered lots of vinyasas and variations on challenging poses. My favorite part of the class was when she read to us while we were in frog pose during the class. I will include the text here. The main reason it resonated with me is because of its truth it was about the difficulty in life. It is common in yoga classes to emphasize being happy and joyful and positive at all times. That does not resonate with me because I think that attitude belittles the real difficulties we all face within the human condition. These difficulties are why many of us go to the mat in the first place. If I'm sad or upset and the yoga teachers just says "don't be sad or upset" I don't feel better. With that said here is the excerpt from the reading. Trust Even the Dark Moments While on our journey, life can sometimes get bleak. Dark passages may envelop us. Expect these moments. Often they come at the deepest period of working things out. It can be a time of despair, frustration, dead ends, anguish and angst. She discussed all the philanthropic things the studio was doing to help the community. She talked about her personal testimony of opening the studio and the challenges of getting everything just right so that she could open. And it was great. A great space for yoga. It's a young studio but poised for growth and community in the Lexington, Ky area. I recommend going there if you are in town for a basketball game or Taylor Swift concert. They have all different types of classes. It's a great space to find your chill. I can't wait to go back for a third time if I'm ever in the area.
