This past month I had the opportunity to visit the Laika 10 year anniversary museum. I have been a fan of Laika since their first film Coraline - and every movie since has been a hit. Including their newest film Kubo and the Two Strings (which you need to see). Laika has separated themselves as the leaders of stop-motion animation and in my opinion animated films in general. Laika has consistently made great films and beloved characters, spending countless hours sculpting and putting together these amazing stories. At the time of this post the museum has already been packed up and moved elsewhere, but if it ever comes back around you should definitely check it out and if you haven’t seen their movies (what’s wrong with you?) definitely go check them out including Kubo in theatres right now! ...And keep an eye out for some Laika inspired products in the near future...
