I just finished 13 orders of mini pancakes to save money for my trip to Japan and it reminded me of this anecdote from when Metallica first traveled there. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
When Metallica arrived in Japan they went to a sushi place, where Jason ended up drinking more than he should have, so Kirk took the opportunity to play a joke on him, telling him that wasabi was mint ice cream, then Jason took a big spoonful of wasabi and clearly started to suffer. When he looked up, he didn't see any of the guys anymore, just a bunch of strange people at the table, and they immediately brought the account, which had many zeros, at that time Jason was only earning $500 a week, so at that moment (with the last of his remaining reasoning) he knew they were playing a joke on him and he started looking around to see if they were watching him from somewhere
Literally, when I read the first three pages, my jaw dropped. It's my first time reading Jennette, and I thought it would be like her first book (I saw reviews on TikTok), But I wasn't expecting what I started reading... So I don't know whether to continue or stay there (it's very uncomfortable to read when there are people around me) Similarly, I have a loooong list of books I haven't read (including a manga) ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

You know? Sometimes I wish I lived in a country other than Mexico, since I have far fewer opportunities than anyone else, and even fewer as a woman, but then I realize that I was born in the right place, because nowhere else could I so absurdly waste my money on merch of my faves (maybe in the United States)
Btw I'm saving money so that when I'm of age (soon) I can go to Japan and spend my money on gachapone and skincare, aaand to be honest idk what should I sell? Maybe if I sold everything I spend money on, I would have already saved up the money โโ โฟโ โ

I was criying so hard, i already had Lars and yesterday i went to a mall and run directly to the Funko section and i asked if they had more Metallica Funko (Rob was the only one at the counter) and they said yes, that they have James , and I didn't think twice and bought both (they don't have Kirk until next week), and when my dad came back he scolded me for buying them, and today i arrived from school toy and i saw the Funko of Kirk on the table, i asked him where he got them and he said he'd bought them on Amazon for my birthday, but now he was only going to return James and Rob, since Kirk was giving them to me right away, But I started crying because I ruined my surprise (lol), he took the time to look and now he's going to have to think about what to get me for my birthday, i feel so bad right now๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
