First photo back from @pdjohnnurgess 's photo workshop this weekend. Being the guide for the experience I mostly drove the truck around but I had my camera with me the whole way. Being around the other photo nerds and getting tips from someone who has been in the business with John put things on a whole new level. This photo has not been altered. Everything you see was in camera. Having to switch quickly from driving to shooting I chose to go digital on this particular adventure. This morning @ktnevers and I explored our favorite place Monterey to celebrate 1 year together. I brought this little guy along to document it. Is this the best compact 35mm camera ever made? Not by a long shot. But it just might be the best cheap camera to take ocean kayaking. It's splash-proof, weather-proof, one-hand-operating design and adjustable neck strap meant I was never worried about it. The fixed lens version is leagues better for on land shooting but having the ability to go to 140mm meant tons of otter pictures without disturbing them. Ramble Alert: Print your photos. It seems like the deeper I sink myself into photography the more I start to doubt myself. It's easy to get lost comparing yourself to other artists.
