"Where's Hoshi?" PD Nah asked and looked up towards the man who sat quietly between Woozi and Jun. It's moments like these where Zaneri is reminded that Hoshi's an introvert, seeing him all quiet and not causing chaos.
"Here." Hoshi raised his hand with a small smile. They both greeted each other, familiar with the other from the 'Hybe x Game Caterers' event last year.
(Hoshi and Producer Nah met before)
Producer Nah began talking about Hoshi's love for CARATS, which was undeniable as he agreed, and then continued on leading up to his question. "All fans in Korea approved CARAT for the hardest cheer." PD Nah commented.
Some of the members let out noises of understanding. When Zaneri had first heard the fan chant Hoshi made back in 2017, she thought it was a joke, but when he looked at her genuinely and even asked her what she thought about it, she was utterly baffled that he was actually making that their fan chant.
However, after a few tries, she was able to do it. It must be a rapper thing for her, but it's still hard to do nonetheless.
"You created a 5-second cheer?" PD Nah asked curiously.
Hoshi nodded and began explaining, "So, there's a bridge. I added the members' real names there. It goes 'Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Jisoo, Junhui, Myungho' and so on."
Zaneri shook her head, amused, with a small smile playing on her lips, listening as Hoshi messed up the fan chant he created.
"I'm not good at it either." He quickly clarified, and the members couldn't help but laugh at his confession.
"That's irresponsible." PD Nah scolded lightheartedly, "To do that, some CARATs lost their voices. Some went to the mountains. Some CARATs say they'll practice it and join 'Show Me the Money'."
Zaneri doubled over laughing, the sheer determination of their CARATs was truly admirable. Mingyu, who was laughing next to her, unfortunately got a stray hit to his shoulder when she came back up.
"Ah-!" He rubbed his shoulder with a pout, "Why are you always next to me when you do that?"
Zaneri apologised softly as she calmed down, both their attentions going back to the interview.
"You shouldn't ignore it after making it." PD Nah teasingly scolded him.
"I listen to it on stage." Hoshi replied, "It's very nice of them." He added, grinning, as he shared his thoughts on listening to CARAT's cheers while performing.
Everyone laughed at his brazen comment. Hoshi never fails to say the most ridiculous things in a serious tone, which gets the members and the audience laughing.
"After making them do it..." Seungkwan tilted his head to the side, a baffled grin on his face as he seemingly tried to piece together how that makes sense.
"You're grateful but?" Producer Nah tilted his head, waiting for Hoshi to fill in the answer.
"That's not my job." Hoshi replied honestly, "I have to dance on stage."
‘He's so unapologetically himself when he speaks’, Zaneri thought. Listening to his explanation, which made sense, but it also wasn't enough to justify giving CARATs such a hard chant. However, it's nice to know that despite it being hard, CARATs go above and beyond to learn it.
"Do you have anything to say to CARATs?" Producer Nah asked finally.
(Any messages to rapper CARATs who had a hard time due to the 5-second cheer?)
"Send them a message." He encouraged, pointing to a camera ready to capture Hoshi's impromptu message.
"Dear CARAT." Hoshi began earnestly, "I'm saying hello on The Game Caterers."
Zaneri bit back a laugh that was threatening to escape. Why was Hoshi addressing them as if he were doing a serious interview? The rest of the members started laughing at Hoshi's overly serious greeting.
(This isn't a press conference)
"There's music. You know the tearful music?" Producer Nah asked, and Hoshi let out a noise of understanding before looking back at the camera, which was capturing his message.
"I'm always grateful. I love you." His tone was sincere and warm as he finished up with his horanghae pose, smiling at the camera. "I'm sorry." He added, bowing slightly.
(Sorry for giving you a hoarse throat)
"Did you make one for 'Super'?" PD Nah questioned curiously, moving on smoothly.
"I made one for 'Super'." Hoshi verified, and PD Nah looked intrigued as he asked him to demonstrate the chant for him.
"It's the same." Hoshi answered with a chuckle, "Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Jisoo, Junhui, Sooyoung...' and so on. There's no change in members. So it's the same."
"That's right, it's still fourteen." Seungkwan confirmed with a smile.
While that was going on, a few members attempted to say it in one go without making a mistake. Members like Jun and Vernon were working hard to say it in one go without messing up, which Vernon ended up successfully doing, but others just gave up after making a couple of mistakes.
"Can anyone do it without making a mistake?' Jeonghan uttered quietly, looking around at the members. Zaneri nodded and pointed at herself, "I can."
"Show us." Mingyu challenged, and she sat up, clearing her throat.
"Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Jisoo, Junhui, Soonyoung, Wonwoo, Jihoon, Myungho, Seokmin, Mingyu, Na-ri, Seungkwan, Hansol, Chan."
After she did it, Jeonghan simply smiled like he had no doubt in the world that she would be able to do it. He gave her a high five, "Good job." He smiled warmly, which she returned.
And then she turned to Mingyu, a smug smile appeared on her face as she looked at his mildly shocked expression. She tilted her head, feigning a pout, "What kind of main rapper would I be if I couldn't do that much?"
Mingyu scoffed in mild disbelief and amusement, while Jeonghan raised an eyebrow then burst into a grin at Zaneri's teasing comment.
"Where's Wonwoo?" PD Nah asked, continuing on with the interview segment of the day. Wonwoo, who was seated beside Seungkwan, raised his hand, a small smile gracing his features.
They both did a small but respectful bow towards each other, "We didn't meet last time. Nice to meet you." The producer said, and Wonwoo returned the sentiment.
(First time meeting Producer Nah)
"You're so good-looking, not that I mean the rest aren't." Producer Nah praised but quickly clarified he didn't point that out to bring down the rest of the members. "You're tall, good-looking, and big."
Wonwoo smiled softly as he was flooded with compliments from Producer Nah. "In fact, you were in a photoshoot recently. The theme was your shoulders? I heard you have nice shoulders." PD Nah continued with his comment, now looking at Wonwoo for an explanation.
"I had a photoshoot a year ago. The whole theme was body. I was in charge of the shoulders, so I took photos of my shoulders." He explained the story behind Producer Nah's comment.
"He has broad shoulders." Hoshi agreed, motioning to his shoulders.
"His shoulders look nice." Dokyeom chimed in. Zaneri grinned a bit, finding this conversation sort of strange, but nonetheless, Wonwoo does have nice shoulders.
"You should show him." Mingyu turned around to look at Wonwoo, who was seated directly behind him, a playful expression on his face. Dino also playfully started to chant "Show him" beside Mingyu.
"How?" Wonwoo asked awkwardly, confused about how he was going to show Producer Nah his shoulders. Minghao and Seungkwan began helping him remove his dark denim jacket from his shoulders.
"Take off your shirt." Dokyeom playfully suggested, not entirely serious but not entirely opposed to the idea either. Which Wonwoo quickly denied with a laugh.
"His videos are always the most popular. Hurry up." Seungkwan, ever the witty one, commented, rushing Wonwoo who was still slightly apprehensive about taking off his jacket. Zaneri laughed out loud at his comment, " 'Most popular.' " Her and Dokyeom repeated at the same time.
"A lot of CARATs are curious." Producer Nah stated, walking over to Wonwoo with a tape measure. The members watched in excitement as they were eager to hear the measurements.
(Wonwoo has broad shoulders) (We decided to measure it and see)
The members started commenting on how broad Wonwoo's shoulders are, simultaneously praising him for his good physique as Producer Nah placed the tape measure at his shoulders.
"I'm not sure if I have wide shoulders. I never measured it before." Wonwoo stated, as calm as ever.
"That's something that Mingyu would do," Zaneri commented, which earned a few laughs and noises of agreement. Mingyu turned to her, his lips twitching as if trying not to laugh at the absurdity of her comment.
"58 cm." Producer Nah confirmed. Zaneri discreetly tilted her head towards Mingyu, hoping that Producer Nah got the message, which he probably did based on his next comment.
(The start of something chaotic)
"I think Mingyu has broader shoulders." His eyes shifted to Mingyu and then to his shoulders.
Mingyu turned around and straightened up, allowing Producer Nah to properly measure his shoulders. Zaneri watched closely, "I don't think Mingyu's shoulders are as broad as Wonwoo's."
"Really? I think Mingyu has broad shoulders." Dokyeom said, tilting his head slightly to take a closer look at Mingyu's shoulders.
"I don't think they're narrow, just not as broad as Wonwoo's." She replied.
"Not quite." Producer Nah commented a few seconds later. Most of the members laughed, some in shock and some just because of how funny Mingyu looked at that very moment.
"But it's true," Wonwoo commented, laughing along with some of the other members. Clearly, most of them were quite entertained by watching the unexpected scene unfold.
Mingyu looked around in shock, even turning to Zaneri and Jeonghan, who both sat grinning at Mingyu's expression. "Are you that surprised?" She asked, laughing still.
"Even with a jacket on, his shoulders are 50cm." Producer Nah said, and this was even more shocking. It's not that shocking that his shoulders aren't as wide as Wonwoo's, but the gap is unbelievable.
"It's 50cm?" Mingyu and Zaneri repeated, both clearly surprised. While Zaneri's tone had a hint of amusement, Mingyu was in complete disbelief. "52cm." Producer Nah corrected as if that would somehow alleviate his shock and complete disbelief.
"It's 8cm shorter?" He asked again. Zaneri clapped, completely amused by this whole situation. Mingyu's face and the sudden revelation of him having narrow shoulders were simply the highlight of the day right now. "It's okay, Mingyu, it's just 8cm." Jeonghan teased as both he and Zaneri sat grinning at him.
"Mingyu eats like 8 chickens a day," Woozi added in with a surprised tone, whether to express his disbelief or to add to the fact that even with Mingyu's eating habits, he still has narrow shoulders.
"He's eating away all the chickens." S.Coups joked, pointing out that Mingyu ate them for practically no reason.
(What did he eat all those chicken breast for?)
On the other side, Mingyu asked for a redo. Clearly, he was not going to accept that measurement, and by the look on his face, it didn't seem like he'd stop until he got a number he was satisfied with. Jeonghan stood up to have a closer look at the measurements along with Producer Nah, who was conducting the redo.
"Mingyu has a nice body." PD Nah praised. "Widen your chest." PD Nah instructed Mingyu, while all the other members watched, interested to hear Mingyu's measurement.
A disbelieving smile tugged at Zaneri's lips as she watched Mingyu make a whole show of widening his shoulders and straightening his spine upon PD Nah's request. Things Wonwoo didn't have to do, but she'll leave him be for now. She's already teased him a lot today.
"It's wide." Minghao pointed out.
"Ahhhh," Pd Nah suddenly exclaimed, turning to the other members who were interested in hearing the new measurement. "It's 57cm"
Zaneri watched as Mingyu let out a sigh of relief, fixing his jacket and walking back to his seat. She couldn't help but laugh at his expression. "Your pride must've been hurt, Mingyu."
"I was almost disappointed." He replied, and the members laughed. "It wasn't even my question. It would've embarrassed me."
"Wonwoo just sat there quietly." Dino began, ready to tease him, "But you had to straighten your shoulders."
Everyone started laughing as he mimicked Mingyu's stance. "That's what I thought too!" Zaneri laughed, watching as Jeonghan and Dino mimicked Mingyu's stance.
"If I raised my shoulders, my shoulders would've gotten 3cm wider," Jeonghan added teasingly, demonstrating with his shoulders. Zaneri laughed at Mingyu's taken-aback expression and hit his shoulder lightly.
"Was the question for me?" He sassed, clearly pouting from all the teasing as he stared around the room. An incredulous look taking over his features, watching as everyone laughed.
"You are so dramatic." Zaneri playfully rolled her eyes. "You're the one who made it such a big deal." She shrugged, taking a sip of her latte, hearing Mingyu scoff lightly.
The rest of the members watched them, amusement creeping through them as they stared at the two as if their favorite reality TV show just came on.
"Did you think I didn't see what you did, Gremlin?" He shot back, flicking her forehead with his finger. She winced, rubbing the spot gently, turning to him with furrowed eyebrows.
(Chaos Gremlin) (She did in fact start this)
A small pout made its way onto her face, watching a self-satisfied smirk make its way onto Mingyu's face.
"His shoulders are a sensitive topic for him right now, RiRi," Jeonghan whispered teasingly to Zaneri, feigning sympathy for Mingyu, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear.
They all started laughing at the comment, except Mingyu, who looked at Jeonghan with a disbelieving smile stretching across his face. Jeonghan grinned, quickly apologizing to Mingyu, and reached over to place an apologetic hand over Mingyu’s.
"When will you two get along?" Seungkwan asked quietly after a couple of seconds, teasing both Zaneri and Mingyu. They turned to him and asked simultaneously, half-teasingly and half-seriously, "When will you and Hoshi get along?"
(+1 point for Twin flames)
Laughter enveloped the room as everyone, including the members and staff, laughed at this unexpected clap back. Seungkwan pushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek, his eye twitching.
"Fuck off," He said, a tight lipped smile creeping onto his face as he began sipping his coffee afterwards.
Everyone began laughing at Seungkwan's calm but very 'him' response. If they were filming Going Seventeen, he probably would've given them an ear full or would've just stayed quiet. Either way, they were let off easy today.
"One of the things that CARATs wanted to know was the width of Wonwoo's shoulders." PD Nah spoke up, bringing them back to focus on the interview.
"Woozi," PD Nah called out, looking for SEVENTEEN's infamous producer.
"Here," Woozi responded calmly with a raised hand.
"So Woozi, I heard you're a homebody. You never leave home. Is that true?" PD Nah asked curiously as he made eye contact with the so-called homebody, and Zaneri couldn't agree more.
"He never leaves." Some of the members said in unison, answering PD Nah's question.
"Work, home or gym." Dokyeom added.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was a vampire," Zaneri added playfully, which earned a few laughs.
(The reason for his fair skin)
"We have something to celebrate." PD Nah said suddenly, looking up at the expectant audience. "You were found outside of your house after 5 years."
"Someone saw him." S.Coups chimed in, clapping at the sudden revelation.
(Live trend: the sight of Woozi outside.)
"Where?" Seungkwan asked.
"In Apgujeong." S. Coups filled in because, of course, he already heard about the news regarding his member.
"S.Coups knows everything." Seungkwan pointed out.
"It's actually insane how he knows so much," Zaneri stated, not sure how S.Coups gets information so fast. S.Coups proudly signaled to the camera. "Did you look it up?" PD Nah questioned, and he nodded.
(He'd know since it was in live trend list)
"Where in Apgujeong?" Seungkwan asked, testing to see how much research their oldest member really did.
"In Apgujeong..." S.Coups paused for a moment, trying to remember where Woozi was exactly.
"In front of the gym?" Wonwoo playfully filled out.
"Or was it in front of a famous meat restaurant?" Zaneri added on to the joke.
"It wasn't the gym or a restaurant." He replied with a small smile of his own, still trying to remember where he saw Woozi.
Zaneri looked across to see Woozi seemingly trying to remember where he had gone.
(His own trace he's not aware of)
"You know the cafe? Right under..." S.Coups shared, mentioning the café's name, and everyone let out noises of recognition.
Woozi, who finally remembered where they were talking about, spoke up, "That was for work." He said calmly as if it was obvious that he wouldn't be outside if it wasn't for work.
(It wasn't his own choice )
"CARATs saw him in the cafe." S.Coups clarified, adding on to the information. They all let out noises of understanding.
"How do you know all of this?" Zaneri stared at S.Coups, slightly amazed by how quickly he finds out everything about them.
"It's a skill, Na-ri." He replied with a grin.
"I haven't been in Apgujeong lately. Before, our studio was in Apgujeong. I used to go there often, but not anymore. I don't even go to Apgujeong." Woozi spoke up, his voice steady.
"Then what were you doing in there?" PD Nah asked, pointing the yellow finger stick at Woozi, to get him to clarify why he was in Apgujeong.
"It was for work. I never went there myself." Woozi answered again, his answer no different from the first time.
"Do you remember going out except for work?" PD Nah questioned curiously. Woozi tilted his head to the side, closing his eyes for a moment, trying to recall the last time he went out that wasn't work-related.
"When we had a get-together." S.Coups answered for him, repeating it a couple of times as it seemed to click in Woozi's mind.
(#SEVENTEEN'sAprilMeeting, #WOOZI'sOuting)
The members made sounds of agreement, remembering the meeting that they had not too long ago.
"Except for that, I didn't go anywhere," Woozi commented, his hands moving to fold over his chest.
"It gets to a point where, if we go abroad, we have about two days to go out or rest before the performance." Seungkwan butted in, "But for the whole 2 days, he never left his hotel room. We had to check if he was alive."
(They had to force the door open)
Everyone laughed at the sudden revelation, the members grinning at the recollection. Woozi chuckled a bit where he was seated, clearly remembering the countless times someone had to check on him.
"Why do you do that?" PD Nah asked, confused as to why Woozi would rather sleep than explore, but also slightly amused at the news. "Is there a reason you don't want to go out?"
"I'm too lazy." He replied simply and to the point.
(Things he does: Write lyrics, compose, arrange, produce songs, sings, dance, selfie)
"It's pretty serious," Seungkwan chimed in, a little concerned but also finding the whole thing sort of amusing.
"I tend to avoid anything that consumes my energy. So I just stay still." Woozi responded, giving an explanation for his unusual behavior.
"Ah, are you like Jeonghan?" PD Nah asked. His attention now shifting to Jeonghan, who looked up from the ground, his mouth curling with languid amusement, but before he could say anything, the others spoke up first.
"He goes around busily," Mingyu responded first.
"When he goes abroad, he travels around the most," Wonwoo added, pointing at Jeonghan with a wide smile on his face.
"When he goes abroad, he must go out," Hoshi said.
"He's quite the opposite of Woozi. Hannie is the perfect tourist when we travel." Zaneri smiled, her hand finding his without looking, like muscle memory.
"We take pictures, we go out and eat, we explore, we get souvenirs. The whole package, to be honest. The only downside is that he gets tired easily," She finished, turning to Jeonghan, who was already looking at her with an amused smile lingering on his face.
"He's like, 'Let's go, let's go.' Then, thirty minutes later, 'Let's go.' " Seungkwan added, demonstrating exaggeratedly as he explained Jeonghan's overseas habits, from being energetic before they leave and then after, when his energy has run out.
"Yeah. We have like thirty minutes to do everything before Hannie gets tired." Zaneri added, a grin on her face, and everyone laughed in agreement.
"I get drained fast from walking around a lot," Jeonghan said in his defense, now grinning due to accusations, that were in fact true.
"He knows he'd run out of energy fast. So he saved his energy." PD Nah commented, his attention shifting back to Woozi, who agreed with a small smile on his face.
"Okay." PD Nah responded with a smile, ready to move on to the next member of the group. "The 8. Where are you?" He asked, looking at the back of the room.
"I'm here," Minghao replied, his tone warm and clearly excited for his turn.
"You injured your shoulders? How?" PD Nah asked, curiously staring at Minghao, a bit of concern in his voice.
"Oh, this?" Minghao responded, placing a hand on his injured shoulder. "I fell while working out." He stated coolly as if it weren't a big deal.
"Did someone push you or anything?" Pd Nah asked, looking up from the paper in his hand after hearing Minghao's response.
"Ah, never. I did it to myself. I was careless." He said honestly, owning up to his faults.
"Careless?" PD Nah echoed.
"Yes," Minghao replied with a small smile.
"What's there to be careless while working out?" PD Nah asked, a little confused.
"Well...you know," Minghao replied calmly with a smile, not giving more or less information. Everyone laughed loudly at his reply.
(Squealing) (no more explaining)
"Injuries are common when working out," Hoshi spoke up, discreetly looking at Zaneri from across the room.
Pd Nah raised his eyebrow curiously, "It sounds like you have some stories, Hoshi."
"Just a few," Hoshi began, not wasting time, "For example, a few months back, I was working out with Zaneri, a bug flew onto the weights she was lifting, and she dropped it onto her foot. She had a bruise for a whole week." He explained with a bit of concern laced in his tone.
Everyone turned to Zaneri, the tips of her ears turning red at the sudden story. "In my defense, I didn't get a good look at it, and it looked like a cockroach, and I don't like cockroaches." She said getting chills at the thought of one on her. The story itself is somewhat embarrassing, as the bug turned out to be a beetle.
"Next time, you both should be more careful." PD Nah said, softly frowning, referring to Minghao and Zaneri, who both nodded.
"By the time it airs, I'll be fine." Minghao smiled, gesturing to his shoulder with a small smile.
"Are you almost healed?" PD Nah questioned.
"Yes," Minghao responded with a nod.
PD Nah looked down at the paper he was holding, and his eyebrows raised in slight surprise. "It says here, after HYBE Special last time, on your social media live show, you said you got along with me."
Pd Nah chuckled slightly, placing a hand over his heart as he looked at Minghao, who nodded in confirmation with a smile. Zaneri smiled as she remembered watching the live which PD Nah was referring to.
"In what sense did we get along?" PD Nah asked, reading off the paper and then looking at Minghao expectantly.
"That day, you kept asking me to do something. You listened to me carefully." Minghao replied softly, recalling how PD Nah talked to him and made him feel comfortable and welcomed.
"He's sweet." Wonwoo chimed in, the corners of his lips curving.
“I know right,” Zaneri quickly agreed, her voice gentle. “Xu-ah is so endearing.”
"I was touched." Minghao added. The members let out sounds of understanding, also experiencing feelings of being welcomed and comfortable around PD Nah.
"So I always wanted to work with you again." Minghao finished gently.
"What should we do?" PD Nah asked suddenly, his tone cheerful.
Minghao stared at him, taken aback. "Huh?"
"You should get coffee with him," Mingyu suggested with a wide grin, giving Minghao a suggestion since he looked confused.
"You should have a meal with him." Joshua added with a smile.
"And then afterwards you two can get dessert together, Xu-ah." Zaneri chimed in, topping off a perfect hangout between him and PD Nah.
The members agreed in chorus, their voices blending together.
"Have coffee with him and Woozi in Apgujeong." Mingyu encouraged playfully, adding to the mix their group homebody, who didn't get a say in the matter.
"Do you want to?" Minghao looked at PD Nah, his eyes widened with hopeful excitement. Zaneri stared at him with a wide smile on her face. Every time he's happy, she just can't help the tender feeling that washes over her.
"It works for me." PD Nah confirmed, smiling happily. "That gives Woozi an excuse to leave home." He added and everyone turned to Woozi, laughing in agreement.
"Sounds good to me," Minghao replied, turning back to PD Nah.
Zaneri peeked over to look at Woozi, who had a wry smile on his face but nonetheless looked okay about the whole impromptu situation.
“Next is energetic Mingyu.” PD Nah called out, Mingyu sat up straight ready for his turn.
They bowed in greeting, “Long time no see. Mingyu with 57cm shoulders.” PD Nah quipped.
A few members laughed at what seems will become an ongoing joke between them. Mingyu looked up thoughtfully, a blink-and-recover smile crossing his features.
“It’s 1 cm shorter than Wonwoo.” S.Coups interrupted playfully.
“Recently, Mingyu was seen in the soccer game on March 28, Korea versus Uruguay.” PD Nah said while reading off the paper. Mingyu nodded confirming the statement.
“Why did you go?” PD Nah asked seriously. Jeonghan began chuckling beside an intrigued Zaneri who was wondering where PD Nah was going with this question. Mingyu looked to the side, confusion written all over his face.
“To watch soccer.” He answered after a minute later.
“No.” PD Nah replied quickly, shaking his head in disagreement.
Mingyu looked momentarily stunned and then leaned forward and began laughing at PD Nah’s reply.
“A lot of people say that’s not true.” PD Nah stated plainly. “I heard you went to have a meal.”
Some of the members made noises of acknowledgment.
“My acquaintance told me that too.” Mingyu admitted. “Someone posted that I had two corn dogs.”
Zaneri hummed thoughtfully, ‘that sounds like Mingyu..’
“That’s the issue.” PD Nah replied flatly.
“Just to clarify.” Mingyu began, ready to defend himself.
“Did you have three?” Joshua offered but Mingyu quickly denied, “I had one.”
“No.” PD Nah deadpanned with a straight face. Zaneri’s mouth titled in amusement when she heard PD Nah’s reply, then she turned to Mingyu waiting for him to respond.
“To clarify,” Mingyu began once again. “One corn dog, one shrimp skewer…”
“One sausage.” Seungkwan reminded him, as he went with him that day. "Did you have a sausage too?" Mingyu asked, turning slightly to look at Seungkwan.
"One long chicken skewer," Seungkwan ignored his question and continued listing food that Mingyu was eating.
"One chicken skewer," Mingyu repeated. "One pizza," He added.
"You had a meal.” Vernon pointed out. "Just a meal? he had a feast," Zaneri uttered, tilting her head in mild shock at how much things Mingyu consumed.
Mingyu looked at PD Nah, ready to explain once again, "I kept eating every twenty-five minutes."
"Isn't that normal?" Mingyu asked confused, looking at his members for a response.
"Not really," Vernon answered, tilting his head slightly.
"Eat whatever you want, as long as you’re doing it healthily,” Zaneri uttered lightly, using her shoulder to push him slightly.
(No but eat whatever, as long as you’re healthy!)
"I was there too." Seungkwan interrupted. "We were the only ones eating." He revealed, but Mingyu didn't seem bothered by that at all. In fact, he seemed to be reminiscing, "It was really good. It was my first time there."
“I sent him the photo that people took.” S.Coups butted in, pointing at Mingyu. “I told him.” He said again, clearly sulky.
“Oh, you’re the associate?” Zaneri laughed, pointing a teasing finger at S.Coups. Everyone in the group knows that he can get particularly…touchy about these things, as none issue as they are.
(He said an acquaintance told him)
“Oh right!” Mingyu smiled, finally remembering that S.Coups was the one who sent him the picture. Everyone around them laughed.
Zaneri leaned forward placing a hand on the side of her face to block her mouth from Mingyu and S.Coups, “Didn’t I tell you earlier? they don’t like each other,” She mouthed.
PD Nah and the other writers who were in-front pointed her out, laughing at what she said. Jeonghan and Seungkwan who both could see her face, laughed as well.
“What did you say?” S.Coups asked with furrowed brows, all the other members looked at her curiously.
“That’s between me and those who know.” Zaneri smiled teasingly, winking at the camera. “So how did the conversation go?” Zaneri added, quickly changing the topic.
“Right, so S.Coups texted me and said ‘Did you go to watch a soccer game?’ And I said ‘How did you know?’ And then I got the picture in real time.” Mingyu stated as he recalled the conversation.
“I got calls from my friends in China.” Jun commented, “ ‘You guys eat so much.’ “
“You got calls from China?” Mingyu sat up, looking at Jun surprised.
(Mingyu’s eating show made it to China.)
“Because of the two sausages.” Jun continued. “But I don’t eat that much.” Jun quickly added looking towards the front.
“What you’re saying sounds like a curse, yet a compliment.” Mingyu shared, pointing at himself as he spoke. “Even people in China know.”
“That’s how popular you are.” Jeonghan complimented teasingly, placing a hand on Mingyu’s shoulder.
“Exactly,” Zaneri nodded in agreement.
That seemed to do the trick, along with the others reassuring him and he quickly accepted the fact.
(Kim influence is going global.)
“Thanks.” Mingyu replied, looking at Jun who simply nodded with a smile on his face which quickly morphed into a small chuckle.
"Don't get a big head, Mingyu," Zaneri remarked lightly, placing a hand on Mingyu's shoulder, a light scoff leaving his mouth.
“You should explain it to CARATs because they’re worried that you didn’t each much that day.” PD Nah said, looking at Mingyu.
Mingyu turned to the camera staring earnestly with a hint of playfulness. “Though it said I only had two corn dogs, I had a lot of other stuff. You don’t need to worry. I’ll continue to eat a lot.”
“It’s nice to eat a lot.” Minghao uttered gently. Zaneri snorted under her breath, biting her lip to prevent herself from full on laughing especially upon seeing Mingyu’s perplexed expression.
(Something’s not right, but he doesn’t know what it is)
“Alright, where’s Dokyeom?” PD Nah asked looking up from his paper.
“Here!” Dokyeom lifted his hand, happily. They did a similar polite greeting towards each other before PD Nah jumped straight into the interview.
“I looked it up, and there are many nice stories about you.” PD Nah mentioned with a smile.
(Nice stories poured out)
“Thank you.” Dokyeom smiled brightly.
“Let’s hear them.” S.Coups piped up, pushing part of his bangs behind his ear.
“Oh S.Coups, you didn’t know?” PD Nah asked, raising his eyebrow teasingly, a laugh slipping past his lips.
“Let’s hear them first.” S.Coups replied with a confident smile.
“You didn’t look up Dokyeom?” PD Nah questioned curiously, leaning forward feigning surprise. A few members laughed at his sudden attack.
But S.Coups was quick with his reply. “I know he bought our fans a meal the other day.”
The writers and PD Nah all exclaimed in surprise as S.Coups was right on the dot.
“Awesome.” Joshua exclaimed, his tone bubbly.
“That’s amazing.” Woozi praised earnestly, turning to look at S.Coups.
“In fact, they were Mingyu’s fans.” S.Coups mentioned and the members expressed their surprise.
“Really?” Vernon asked, turning to look at Dokyeom.
“How does he know?” Woozi cut in jokingly. Zaneri turned to him with the same expression, “You’re asking the real questions.”
“I think they were Mingyu’s and Jeonghan’s fans.” Dokyeom clarified.
(They’re all SEVENTEEN’s fans anyways)
PD Nah looked down at his information sheet, reading even more details about the situation. “On March 22, 2023, he ran into the fans in the restaurant and asked if they’d eaten. He gave them autographs and paid for their meals.”
“That’s so cool of you Dokyeom.” Zaneri praised, giving him a thumbs up as the other members agreed in chorus.
“You asked someone in the restaurant if they’d eaten?” Seungkwan interjected, confused as he looked at the other members too.
“That’s funny.” Woozi replied, a grin forming in his face.
“He was asking if they’d eaten finished eating.” S.Coups stated, quickly clearing up any confusion the comment may have caused.
Zaneri listened with a smile on her face as some of her members began teasing Dokyeom for his odd question. They all knew he had good intentions behind it though.
“ ‘Did you eat?’ “ Woozi turned to Joshua asking him the question and everyone began laughing.
“That wasn’t my question.” Dokyeom responded, waving his hands in defense.
(To explain what happened)
“There was one table left next to mine.” He began, “CARATs who were waiting sat there. So we got to eat together. They were eating very carefully in case I felt uncomfortable.”
“They didn’t have to. So, before I left, I apologized for making them uncomfortable. I gave them my autograph and paid for their food." Dokyeom explained, as everyone erupted in praise for him.
"That was nice of you, Dokyeom." Zaneri praised, a sweet smile gracing her face. Dokyeom has always had a kind heart and done a good job at making others smile and making their day better.
"Good job." Woozi also commended.
"I have a question." Mingyu butted in out of the blue. Everyone turned to him curiously to see what he would ask. "I heard the manager was there too."
"Did you pay with the corporate card or your own card?" Everyone laughed at Mingyu's cheeky interrogation. Dokyeom quickly replied as if he couldn't believe Mingyu would ask that question.
"My own card." He replied with a matter-of-fact tone, a disbelieving smile on his face.
"OHHHH," A harmony of playful voices filled the room.
"Are you sure?" Mingyu questioned again, pointing a hand to Dokyeom.
"It was my own card." Dokyeom confirmed once again. "Check the receipt."
"I'm going to check the receipt for March 22nd."
Zaneri gave a light scoff, not believing that Mingyu was really stirring up mischief right now.
"You're so petty." Dino pointed out, turning to Mingyu.
"I'm just joking. What are you talking about?" Mingyu shot back, mock offended. A round of laughter exploded from the group.
"It's because he has narrow shoulders." Joshua playfully remarked, bringing the joke back. The group chimed in like a well-practiced roast squad as everyone laughed, even Mingyu.
"He's petty because he has narrow shoulders." Joshua shouted again, staring in front and pointing at the newly named 'petty Mingyu'.
"Be careful, you might be next, Shua." Zaneri teasingly quipped, referring to Mingyu attacking him instead, as everyone continued laughing. Mingyu then turned to her, an 'are you serious right now?' smile curling on his face.
She used her fingers to zip her lips jokingly and turned back to face PD Nah and the writers, who all looked thoroughly entertained.
"People with narrow shoulders are petty," Dokyeom repeated, half-teasingly, half-seriously, with a playfully tone.
"I can see it now, 'Kim Mingyu has narrow shoulders. 2023 Hot topic.' " Zaneri grinned, making a grand gesture with her hands.
(They can talk about Mingyu's shoulders all day long)
Mingyu sat quietly, clearly biting back a grin. He looked at an empty space in the room like he was wondering how he got himself into this.
"It's okay. Just work out." Jeonghan commented, placing a soothing hand on Mingyu's upper arm.
"Right, Zaneri." PD Nah interrupted, smoothly moving the interview along. Calling her name with a polite smile, turning to Seventeen's one and only female member.
"Here!" Zaneri answered brightly, a charming but polite smile gracing her features as she bowed to PD Nah, who returned it.
"It's nice to finally meet you." He said politely with a smile.
"Likewise." She replied, returning the smile.
PD Nah looked down at his information sheet before looking up with a smile. "You seem to have a good streak going as well. They're many positive things about you online."
"Really?" Mingyu asked playfully, leaning forward with a mildly shocked expression.
"Are you sure you researched the right person?" Hoshi added playfully, gesturing at Zaneri.
"Zaneri Kim? Wow.." Seungkwan tilted his head to the side, folding his hands in front of his chest with a confused expression.
Zaneri looked at her members, an incredulous grin tugging at the corners of her glossed lips. If they didn't find some way to tease her, then this day just wouldn't be complete. She has to admit she was hoping they didn't realize.
"No, but in all seriousness," Zaneri turned back to PD Nah and then pointed at herself, baffled. "Me?"
She didn't think of herself as a bad person or one who harbored ill intentions, but she didn't exactly think that so many people saw her as such a good person.
"You didn't know?" PD Nah questioned, shock written all over his features as he leaned forward.
"It's one of the main topics on the internet when people search you up." The female writer beside PD Nah spoke up.
"She's very humble." Minghao spoke up gently, placing a hand on Zaneri's shoulder.
"I know I've helped people out, but I don't necessarily keep a scoreboard. So whenever I see someone thank me for something I've done, I simply write 'I'm glad I could help.' " She explained with a small smile.
"I heard you like giving gifts to fans, your members, close friends, family, ecetera" PD Nah commented, getting into the specifics of the question. Zaneri and the members nodded in agreement. Giving gifts was something that she loved doing ever since she was young. Whether hand-made or gifts she bought, it was a way of giving back to those around her.
"It says here you even bought a CARAT an iPhone because theirs broke during one of your concerts?" PD Nah stated, eyebrows high as he read off the paper.
Zaneri looked up for a moment recalling the incident and then looked back in front, "Well, it was her birthday and she dropped it during the encore. It cracked really badly, and I felt awful--like no one should leave a concert with less than they came in with."
They all let out collective words and sounds of admiration for Zaneri's kind act.
"That's not all." PD Nah began, and Zaneri looked at PD Nah curiously. "You also donated MacBooks to a CARAT's entire class?" He asked, shocked once again.
"Oh yeah!” Dino piped up, “The CARAT told her about the school, and how it wasn’t doing well and the next thing we know, the whole class had laptops." Dino butted in, pointing a finger at Zaneri.
"Noona even got a young CARAT a puppy from his local animal shelter for Christmas." Vernon added, a fond smile on his face.
PD Nah and the writers turned to Zaneri with shocked expressions. Zaneri bore a gentle smile recalling the moment. "I like gifting people. It's like a love language of mine."
"Our group angel," Jeonghan spoke up, a proud smile on his face. “Beautiful inside and out.”
(Angel #1 praising Angel #2) (Emphasis on beautiful)
"You clearly love gift-giving. It's one of your love languages, as you said." PD Nah noted. "I heard you have expensive taste, Zaneri. So CARATs want to know what's the best gift you've ever received, that you're currently wearing?"
"Expensive taste?" Zaneri gaped and quickly waved her hands in defense. "No, no, that's just a rumor. I'm grateful for whatever I'm given, whether expensive or not."
Mingyu cleared his throat and looked up to the ceiling. She jabbed him in his side and playfully glared at him, "You have something to say, petty Mingyu?"
The group laughed at the new nickname and Mingyu shook his head 'no', simultaneously laughing at the newly earned nickname.
"Anyways," She paused for a second, smiled, and then looked down at her hand. "Best gift? That's hard. I have on about three pieces that have an emotional meaning attached to them.”
“My Seventeen ring is definitely one." She began, and the members nodded in agreement. They all thought of the ring as a symbol of their love, unity and friendship as a group, they’re basically family and there was no question about it.
Zaneri hesitated for a second, "But other than that..." She lifted her ring finger and showed off the ring, adorned with diamonds. "This one is probably one of the most important and beautiful gifts I’ve received."
PD Nah and the writers leaned forward to look at the ring, along with some of the members, even though they had all seen it already. "That's a beautiful ring."
"Thank you. It's actually my favorite ring." She replied, smiling ear to ear. Jeonghan turned to look at her, his eyes softening.
“It looks good on you,” He said, holding her hand up to inspect the ring further and then locking eyes with her as she caught his gaze.
She felt her cheeks warm, no doubt a rosy tint spreading across them. She quickly looked away when someone cleared their throat but not before a small smile tugged at her lips.
"Who got it for you, Zaneri?" Dino asked, with a knowing smirk, turning to look at her.
She gave him a playful roll of her eyes—they all knew. Dino’s eyes flickered behind her to look at Jeonghan, who was just watching the scene unfold with a relaxed expression on his face, his arms folded loosely in front of him.
“You’re messy, you know that, right?” Zaneri teased, pointing an accusing finger towards him. Dino simply shrugged, everyone turning to look at her, waiting for an answer.
Jeonghan’s fingers slipped into Zaneri’s momentarily and gave them a small squeeze. She turned to him, and he gave her a small nod with a smile on his face.
“Hannie got it for me,” Zaneri admitted, "I wasn't going to accept it at first, but he wouldn't take no for an answer." She sighed dramatically, but they all knew she was grateful.
She didn’t necessarily like the idea of people spending a lot of money on her but she’ll forever be grateful for the people she’s surrounded by and how they always seem to care about her no matter the circumstance.
The room was filled with synchronised squealing, some members clapping while others were putting on a dramatic performance from the confession. ‘They’re acting like I was proposed to.’ She thought internally, a soft amused sigh leaving her lips.
"Oooooh," S.Coups dragged, leaning back with a knowing grin. "So we're just handing out luxury gifts now?"
"Where's my ring, hyung?" Seungkwan added, holding up his hand.
Jeonghan’s lips twitched in barely-contained amusement and turned to him with one eyebrow raised. "Can you smile as cute as RiRi did, if you get one?"
"I can!" Dino butted in, puffing out his cheeks and blinking rapidly. The whole place erupted in laughter at their youngest's exaggerated aegyo attempt. Mingyu was about to say something when Zaneri swiftly placed her hand over his mouth.
"Please stop, I'm getting second-hand embarrassment," Zaneri groaned, covering her face—but her voice shook with undeniable amusement.
"I'm serious, though," Seungkwan said, even though no part of his tone was serious as he pointed at Jeonghan. "If you're going to set the standards this high, we expect something shiny next time, too."
"Of course." Jeonghan replied, a hint mischievousness in his voice. "Keychains for everyone. I'll even get you ones with your initials." He smiled, his eyes creasing at the sides.
(From diamonds to...keychains?)
All the members muttered in unison, equally unimpressed. However, they knew that whatever Jeonghan got them as a gift, they'd be appreciative of it.
As the conversation drifted, the group got sidetracked, talking about keyrings—somehow going back to the infamous Dino and Seungkwan gifting incident. The cameras capturing the chaotic scene.
Jeonghan and Zaneri listened quietly adding comments here and there. His arm going to rest on her shoulders.
“I have good taste,” Jeonghan suddenly said to Zaneri, using his free hand to spin the ring around on her finger. “Really good taste.”
He uttered finally, his voice low as he looked at her, a lazy smirk working its way onto his face. She nudged him gently, her lips tilting confidently. “You have good taste but mine surpasses yours by just a bit.”
He grinned in return, raising his hands, surrendering, “Can’t argue with that.”
Zaneri rolled her eyes playfully, pushing his face away with her hands gently, “Shut up.”
"You two have great chemistry." PD Nah suddenly pointed out. Gesturing between Zaneri and Jeonghan who were previously whispering, with the yellow finger, both now looking towards the front.
"We hear that a lot," they said in perfect unison exchanging a brief glance before bursting out grinning.
Seungkwan, who was sitting directly behind the pair, gestured between them and stared at their members and then the camera with a 'Do you see this right now?' expression.
"Right," PD Nah said, glancing at the two knowingly before moving on. "It says here, Zaneri, that you were a science whiz even back then."
It’s common knowledge to anyone who knows her, that she loves science. Zaneri nodded, remembering all the fond memories she made because of her love for science. “Yes I was,”
“She was the president of her science club,” S.Coups spoke up proudly, a smile on his face.
“Noona also got first place at the ‘Seoul Youth Science Fair’ “ Vernon praised, and Zaneri smiled at the memory. The debate was tough but she remembered there was no way she was going to lose.
“Congratulations,” Producer Nah praised and Zaneri thanked him with a wide smile on her face. “Right, so I’ve heard rumours that you were the dorms resident mad scientist, is that true?” PD Nah playfully asked and everyone began laughing and a few jumped up to speak.
Zameri’s eyes got comically wide, “Oh no, are we really bringing that up?” She glanced sideways at Jeonghan who was more than prepared to expose her, not to mention Mingyu, Hoshi, Seungkwan and Dokyeom, who were all present during one particularly disastrous incident.
“It’s true,” Jeonghan chimed in, “One day in particular she was going on and on about making ‘stress reliever slime’ to calm everyone down.” He said with quotation marks and some of the members let out audible groans.
“This sounds like a touchy topic,” PD Nah commented, already grinning obviously intrigued as to where this story was going.
“At first, it sounded harmless,” Jeonghan continued. “Until she decided to add more glitter, more baking soda, more soap, more everything. Like 10x” He said, demonstrating by pretending to add ingredients in a container.
Zaneri groaned, “Don’t remind me. I thought it’d be fun but then—“
Hoshi jumped in, mock horror on his face, “It fell.”
The members and the crew watched Hoshi’s dramatic performance, amused, as he stood up, an invisible jar in his hands. “Mingyu was the one holding it, and he’s a bit clumsy.” Hoshi added, walking to the center with the invisible jar.
“Zaneri was like ‘Mingyu, be careful don’t let it fa-‘ and before she could even finish her sentence, Mingyu tripped on his shoelace and BAM!” Hoshi shouted, his voice loud as a few members jumped at the sudden outburst.
“And it wasn’t just one, Mingyu tripped and knocked over the table that had about seven other jars.” Seungkwan interrupted holding up seven fingers, his expression bleak as if he was reliving the crime scene.
“Oh right,” Dokyeom added, a grin on his face as he listened to the members’ dramatic retelling.
“That isn’t even the worst part,” Mingyu began, “The slime started expanding and before you know it, there was glittery, colourful foam, everywhere.” His hands extending outwards to give the full effect.
Zaneri dipped her face into the palms of her hands, that was probably one of the worst days ever but also sort of funny. That day, after everyone came home, S.Coups was super upset (although it didn’t last long) and so was their manager.
Zaneri shed a few tears and apologized profusely, promising to clean it up by herself as it was really her fault for doing an experiment like that in the dorms.
But the boys wouldn’t allow that, they all helped her clean up. Putting on some music and trying to make fun out of the situation, a few members fell at times while others were playing in the foam but they all got the job done together and to this day, she’s extremely grateful.
After they finished explaining, PD Nah spoke up with a sympathetic tone, “That must’ve been a hard day for all of you but I’m sure Zaneri was thankful especially since she was trying to do something for the group.”
“Yes I was,” Zaneri spoke up, her tone gentle. “I was really flustered and disappointed but thankfully the members helped me even though they must’ve been tired from their schedules and upset about coming home to a mess. So I’m really thankful.”
A round of tender reactions followed like a wave as they all reassured her that it’s in the past and she was just trying to do a good thing for the group.
“Maybe not in the dorm next time,” Minghao added lighthearted, a few chuckles passing through the group.
“The full story is even better but we’ll tell you some other time,” Dokyeom added with a laugh and PD Nah nodded, smiling at the news of hearing the full story.
“Right, Seungkwan,” PD Nah called out, continuing with the interview.
"I have something to check instead of a question." PD Nah stated, and Seungkwan nodded in understanding, curiously leaning forward. "Sure."
(In the last HYBE Special. The referee was Seungkwan)
(Professor Seungkwan became the referee for shy Producer Nah)
(He even checked their expressions)
After PD Nah showed a few clips of Seungkwan from The Hybe Special, Seungkwan began talking, “Hoshi was like, ‘The son of Nan Yung Suk.’” His expression and gestures exaggerated, mimicking Hoshi. Everyone laughed at Hoshi’s comment, which was more of a compliment in itself.
(Approved to be Nah Yung Suk’s son)
"After that shoot, you call him hyung." Wonwoo pointed out, talking about Seungkwan being on a friendlier basis with PD Nah.
"He's my friend," Seungkwan replied confidently, earning a few laughs at his brazenness
"I was amazed because there were a lot of people I didn't know, so I stayed quiet because I was shy." Hoshi began, "But Seungkwan stepped out with confidence." He finished doing his famous Seungkwan impression.
"I even did tumbling," Seungkwan pointed out with a grin on his face, agreeing with Hoshi's comment.
"He helped me with hosting. So I gave him a coupon. It could be a coffee truck or food truck, or an MC replacement." PD Nah explained with a grateful smile on his face.
"Since I'm here today, does it even out?" He asked, making a straight line with his fingers.
Seungkwan leaned forward with wide eyes, "Is it expired?"
"You're using it on this," Jeonghan said, turning around to explain to Seungkwan. "You used it on SEVENTEEN."
"Ohhh," Seungkwan muttered.
"He doesn't look too happy," Zaneri laughed, placing a comforting hand on Seungkwan's knee.
"We got to be here thanks to you," Mingyu commented with a grin, turning to look at Seungkwan. Seungkwan, on the other hand, slowly blinked with a slight raise of his eyebrows.
"What are you talking about?" Seungkwan suddenly spoke up, his tone confused. "I worked my butt off for it."
The group began laughing at Seungkwan's comment, which showed he was clearly upset about his coupon.
(It was private property)
But of course, Seungkwan's complaint didn't stop there: "If he makes a male version of 'Earth Arcade', I was going to join it."
Zaneri leaned forward, laughter spilling from her lips as she listened to Seungkwan complain about his coupon being used for this event. "He has his priorities straight, guys." She chimed in as she came back up, still gasping for air from how much she was laughing.
"You said I could use it, so I thought about using it when we were filming the music video, but I just couldn't," Seungkwan explained, obviously not feeling very comfortable about using the coupon.
Zaneri rubbed his knee and nodded in understanding.
(He's more than welcome to use it)
"If you just tell me, whatever it is, I'll do it for you." PD Nah explained with a warm smile on his face. "Just give me a call."
"Okay," Seungkwan replied, his voice polite and warm as a smile appeared on his face seemingly more comfortable with using the coupon now.
"If you need anyone to talk to, I'll go." Seungkwan suddenly said, gesturing to a drink, which PD Nah smiled and nodded. The members chuckled at the cute exchange between PD Nah and Seungkwan.
"Vernon," PD Nah called out, a polite smile on his face as he waited for the second youngest of their group to speak up.
"Here," Vernon answered quickly, a polite smile on his face.
"You're very good looking," PD Nah commented, and Vernon nodded with a smile. "Thank you,"
"Nice to meet you, Vernon." PD Nah bowed politely with a small smile. "Nice to meet you, too," Vernon replied, mirroring the gesture.
PD Nah looked down at his information sheet, ready to start Vernon's interview segment. "You love movies so much that you're often seen in movies?"
"Ah," Vernon replied, nodding in agreement with the comment PD Nah made.
"Your nickname is Baby Lee Dong Jin?" PD Nah questioned with a playful grin, more to point it out than to get an explanation.
"Ah, really?" Vernon responded, amused by the nickname he was given.
(The movie-loving critic) (His nickname is Baby Lee Dong Jin)
"I was surprised to read this." PD Nah stated, reading off the paper, "I thought you were a critic, I'll read it for you."
The members leaned forward curiously, intrigued by the comment Vernon must have made after watching a movie.
(Vernon's comment after watching 'Everything Everywhere All At Once')
"Ohhh," The members said in a synchronized fashion, most, if not all of them being familiar with the amazing film.
"I haven't watched it yet." PD Nah revealed, after reading the title name to them. "But this is what he said."
" 'My mind exploded in pieces of colored paper. Each increasing piece shines on the universe of my potential in my insufficiency. Be kind. Let there be love. Here and now.' "
"Wow," Zaneri mumbled, she actually read his review after he wrote it, as they both saw the movie together, but hearing it again for a second time, truly reminds her that Vernon has such an artistic way of thinking.
"Mingyu," PD Nah suddenly called out, all attention turning to the man who was sitting quietly with furrowed eyebrows, whilst simultaneously staring in awe. "What does that mean?"
All the members began laughing as they stared at their confused member, who simply looked at an empty space at the corner of the room, his mind going blank.
(An unexpected literature test)
"How do you come up with it?" Jeonghan interrupted, clearly as impressed as everyone else, motioning to his brain as he looked at Vernon who was grinning.
"I watched the movie too." Mingyu disclosed, "It was very impressive." He praised, a smile on his face as he spoke.
"Then it'll be easy for you to understand." PD Nah playfully commented, referring to his question from earlier that was linked to Vernon's poetic review.
"The movie describes one's life or expression using...." Mingyu went on explaining what he assumed Vernon meant by his review, whilst also giving a review and explanation of the movie from his perspective.
"...Respect each other and love each other." Mingyu began wrapping up but was swiftly interrupted by their youngest member, who bore a mock-confused expression.
"I don't get what you mean." Mingyu stopped, his tongue poking the inside of his cheek as everyone began laughing at Dino's comment.
"What are you saying?" Wonwoo added to Dino's joke, a laugh leaving his lips.
"It was a good movie. You should watch." Mingyu said finally, turning to Dino.
"Right, the bottom line is that it's a good movie," Dino spoke up, pointing a hand to Mingyu as he basically summarized the review.
"My comment would be, 'It's fun. You should watch it.' " Mingyu joked, acting out him typing a review on his computer.
"Ahhh," Dino replied, understandingly nodding his head.
Vernon nodded his head in agreement as Mingyu spoke again, "I just had a different way to put it. In fact, Zaneri also watched the movie and her comment was, 'It was a mind-blowing experience and I wholeheartedly think it is one of the best films I've ever watched. Moral of the story, be kind to everyone.' "
Zaneri nodded her head, remembering her comment that she made after watching the movie with Vernon.
"Oh that's right, Noona and I watched it together." Vernon pointed a finger at Zaneri, a smile on his face.
"So all of you enjoyed the movie but just had different ways of saying that." Dino summarized once again, his hand gesturing to his three members who nodded in agreement.
"If they'd write movie reviews, he'd give 5 stars and just say it's good." Woozi playfully commented, gesturing to Mingyu. "But he'd give 4.7 stars and leave a long comment," Woozi said, referring to Vernon, jokingly widening the length of his hands.
Vernon shook his head with a grin and held up five fingers to the camera.
(Everything, Everywhere, All at Once = 5 stars★!!!)
"Zaneri would give it a 4.5, and say 'This movie was excellently made and I genuinely enjoyed every scene,' but 4.7 is too oddly specific and 4.5 just looks more aesthetically pleasing to her." Woozi teased, pointing a finger at Zaneri whilst everyone laughed and agreed in earnest.
"God forbid a girl wants to leave an aesthetically pleasing review." Zaneri shot back, her laugh filling the space as she joined the infectious laughing from her members.
"For channel full moon subscribers," PD Nah interrupted seamlessly, looking at Vernon, who was patiently waiting for the question. "Do you have any recommendations?"
Vernon nodded his head, "Steven Spielberg recently released a new movie. It's called 'The Fabelmans'."
"Have you seen it?" PD Nah asked curiously.
"Yes," Vernon replied, nodding his head.
"But it just came out." Mingyu and PD Nah said at the same time.
"I watched it in the theater." Vernon clarified. "I thought it contained a lot of stories about his own. If you're a movie lover, you'd enjoy watching." Vernon commented, a small smile on his face.
"He said it was good," Wonwoo clarified with a grin on his face, and the members began laughing at his cheeky comment.
"Yes, it was good," Vernon replied, a grin of his own on his face.
"He said, 'It was cool, you should watch it,' in a cool way." Seungkwan pointed out, referring to Mingyu's earlier comment about 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'.
"Because I haven't seen that movie yet, something that would make me say that is 'Cinema Paradiso.' " Mingyu commented, making reference to yet another movie that would be worthy of Vernon's artistic reviews.
"What's 'Cinema Paradiso'? " Vernon questioned, his tone laced with intrigue as he leaned forward.
"It's a movie. It's good. You should watch it." Mingyu playfully replied, and a round of laughter erupted from the group.
"Good job," Joshua praised.
"That's when you say that," Woozi commented, clearly impressed by the joke.
(Main career: comedy director)
"As long as it's good," Jun muttered, a smile of his own present.
"Right," PD Nah butted in with a grin, "Finally, it's Dino's turn. We're finally here." He finished looking at our youngest member, who had just finished taking a sip of his water.
"I'll ask him a simple question and move on." PD Nah stated, looking down at the paper before looking at Dino with a mischievous smile.
"Dino, what kind of razor did you use today?"
Laughter overlapped as everyone began at once. Zaneri clapped her hands and leaned forward, as she listened to PD Nah's question.
(For some reason, the older ones are making fun of Dino for using an electric shaver)
"Seriously," Dino laughed through a faux scoff as he turned to the side, not believing his ears. Joshua and Mingyu leaned in closer from their places beside him to check if he had shaved today.
(Checking if he shaved today)
"You look neat today," Joshua complimented while Minghao and Zaneri stretched to see Dino's chin.
(Can't hide his shyness even with makeup)
"I used Gillette," Dino replied, with the faintest smirk as if he couldn't decide whether to laugh or sigh.
"Ah, you didn't use the electric shaver?" PD Nah teasingly quipped.
Dino tilted his head slightly and took a breath in as if wondering how the whole electric shaver joke came this far. "I don't use electric shavers."
"I used it when I was in middle school," He added, providing more information.
Zaneri, who was leaning forward with a hand on her forehead, listened to Dino's explanation, but as Dino brought up the part about middle school, she couldn't help but laugh.
She buried her face into Jeonghan's chest, and her whole body shook as laughter spilled from her mouth. Woozi's confused voice filtering through her ears, along with the members' laughs, just made the moment all the funnier.
(Did you get that much mustache at the time?)
"I use a Gillette 6-blade razor." Dino shared.
"About the razor," PD Nah started, clearly entertained the youngest's comments. "When did you join SEVENTEEN?"
"Fourteen." S.Coups responded first.
"I joined when I was fourteen." Dino repeated.
"Ah, who was the oldest at the time?" PD Nah inquired, looking around at the members in the group.
"S.Coups," Dino responded again as S.Coups raised his hand.
"How old were you?" PD Nah, directing the question to S.Coups, who paused for a moment, looking up at the ceiling as he tried to recall his age at the time.
"I was eighteen." He responded, and PD Nah nodded his head in understanding, gesturing to Dino. "He must've felt like a cute little brother."
"He didn't even look at him back then," Hoshi butted in, pointing an accusing finger at S.Coups as the members agreed, laughter filling the room for what felt like the nth time.
"He never even looked at me," Dino lightheartedly criticized as he pointed towards his eldest hyung.
"I didn't care," S.Coups added on, his smile wide as he agreed with what they were saying.
"Tell me more about that period," PD Nah quickly said, clearly excited hearing them talk about their trainee days.
"We shouldn't." S.Coups shouted, waving his hand. "We shouldn't talk about that period."
"Yeah, I agree, we’d need some drinks," Zaneri quickly spoke up next, already feeling a headache coming from the number of stories that they could tell about that period.
"We have to talk about it in a cart bar." Seungkwan joked, knowing their trainee days were tough and a variety show like this just wasn't the time to talk about that period.
The members laughed in agreement, "With a bottle of soju." Dino added.
"We went through so much," Seungkwan commented with a playful puff of air leaving his lips.
"Right, those were tough times," Dokyeom chimed in with a grin as he looked at his members thoughtfully.
"We'll stop here then," PD Nah butted in, laughing.
The members collectively agreed as he moved on with the interview. PD Nah looked down at the paper as the members calmed down and then looked at Dino.
"It says here, is there anything the other members took from you?"
"Pfftt," Woozi leaned forward slightly, finding the question funny. Zaneri looked at Dino, a slow smile spreading across her face.
"Anything they took from me?" Dino responded, looking to the side like he had to think about his reply.
"It's never items," Dino stated, fixing his jacket.
" 'Never the items?' " Joshua repeated, a breathy laugh escaping him.
"What do we take from you then?" Minghao asked, leaning over intrigued.
"Yeah, Dino, what do we take from you?" Zaneri wondered, a teasing smirk finding her lips as she already had a feeling what their youngest would say.
"Instead of my items, they take my positive attitude and hope from me," He responded candidly.
Everyone began laughing at his reply, and to be fair, it was kind of true. PD Nah and the writers at the front laughed and cheered at Dino's sudden confession.
(The villains) (Applause of support)
"Dino-ya, teasing you means we love you," Zaneri spoke up, still laughing as she looked at his earnest expression.
"Zan-ah, please," Dino replied, turning to look at her with a playfully raised eyebrow and a scoff. "Some things are more important than objects,"' He said, turning to the front.
(We should make a special on Dino's story)
"About that," PD Nah started, a bit breathless from laughing. "You should talk to Jeonghan."
(He should work it out with the counselor)
"I'm sure he'll call me soon," Jeonghan replied calmly, a small smile on his face.
(Let's move to the next clip to play the game)
